Introducción. La migraña es una de las primeras causas de discapacidad a nivel mundial en el ser humano, con una prevalencia mayor en las mujeres. La toxina botulínica ha mostrado una gran efectividad en el tratamiento de la migraña crónica disminuyendo los días de cefalea. Objetivo. Describir la utilidad de la toxina botulínica en el tratamiento de migraña crónica. Metodología.  Se realizó un estudio no experimental de tipo revisión bibliográfica sobre la utilidad de la toxina botulínica en el tratamiento de migraña crónica en la que se emplearon artículos científicos publicados en las bases de datos como Pubmed y Scopus. El período de revisión comprendió los últimos 5 años. Resultados. Se evidencio los beneficios de la onabotulinumtoxinA, efectos adversos y efectividad frente a otros tratamientos de primera línea. Conclusiones. La onabotulinumtoxinA demostró tener una gran utilidad en el tratamiento de migraña crónica, disminuyendo la frecuencia de cefaleas días-mes, reduciendo la severidad de estas y mejorando la calidad de vida. Además, se evidencio menos abandono con onabotulinumtoxinA frente a los tratamientos de primera línea por parte de los pacientes.

Sin dudas, el film de Valeria Selinger es la muestra indiscutible de una pieza cinematográfica perfecta, fiel al texto original pero, ante todo, es la estrella que faltaba para coronar y poder transitar los intrincados senderos de la memoria. Con una trama pulida e impecable, el film La casa de los conejos (2021), parece ser más que la adaptación de un libro. Se trata de imágenes superpuestas que arman un rompecabezas complejo al intentar –de algún modo– reparar o cicatrizar la herida del trauma. En efecto, es la recreación ideal para cumplir la función de sendero iluminado o diagramación señalizada a partir de la cual Clara Anahí podría regresar y contar su propia historia.

This paper discusses the main features of the Argentine pension system in terms of the contributory/ non-contributory gap, focusing on the period 2003-2019 under governments with opposing political views. Firstly, the essay presents a brief historical overview on the Argentine pension system starting with the market friendly reform of the 90, followed by a discussion of the policies carried on by the Kirchnerist administration (2003-2015) and, subsequently, by Macri’s administration (2015-2019). Secondly, the article presents recent data on the evolution and sufficiency of pension benefits and inequalities among beneficiaries, depending on their access to contributory/non-contributory schemes. This evidence is used to discuss the continuities, contradictions, and structural weaknesses of the Argentine pension system during the period under analysis.

This article deals with healthiness issues in the Chivilcoy town, Buenos Aires province, towards the end of the 19th century. First of all, it analyzes the lack of collective equipment necessary to improve the hygienic conditions of the town, a situation that was not only denounced by the local press but also recognized by the Municipality and the provincial State. An attempt is made to show how the financial incapacity of the former, as well as the absence of resources from the latter, encouraged the participation of civil society in different projects that arose to promote the realization of sanitation works and the creation of sanitary institutions. Secondly, the constitution of a local commission that emerged in 1885 with the purpose of promoting works in the town is discussed. Particularly, the project undertaken by this commission to promote the construction of a hospital is analyzed. It acted as a valid interlocutor between the Municipality and the provincial State and managed to carry out the construction of the local hospital. Finally, it analyzes the handover of the hospital to the Municipality and the role that the civil sphere continued to play in contributing to its administration and maintenance.

The article analyzes the relationship between Science, Society and the State in Argentina in the 1930s based on the case of the Asociación Argentina para el Progreso de las Ciencias. It is placed in the light of three issues: the growing role of the State in that decade and the way in which AAPC influenced it; the forging of a public discourse that promoted the idea of a science policy for Argentina; and the relationship with the private sector (especially industry). By the end of the period, transnational foundations (e.g., Rockefeller) gained ground, but without changing AAPC's concern for the development of a robust science system for Argentina. Thus, it will be argued that it is necessary to fully integrate the 1930s into the chronology of the history of science policy in Argentina and to return agency power to AAPC.
