This article is about the literary and the scense of Abraham Valdelomar Pinto (1888-1919) self-proclaimed as «El Conde de Lemos», in the Aristocratic Republic stage as historical-political background. Abraham Valdelomar stands, in his political-literary action, between two great and important currents or generations: the 900’s and the Centennial.

This paper proposes a meta-research of the Social Communication theses of a public university. Its mainobjective is to analyze the epistemological foundations of the theoretical framework and its methodologicalapproach in social communication theses. It sets as its specific objectives: a) to identify trends in themethodological characteristics of the theses and b) to examine the distinctive features of the formulationof the theoretical framework of the theses. The research is exploratory-descriptive, non-experimental, empirical, and quantitative, and it uses the technique of content analysis. The results show the frequencies ofeleven categories of analysis. The study reveals a significant epistemological divergence with researches thatdo not have theoretical framework. Similarly, when the content of the theses is reviewed, 50% of them carry out a thematic content, which is not supported by a paradigm or a communication approach. This, in spite of the fact that 70% of the theses include textbooks of theories in the bibliography.

El presente libro “aborda las memorias de la violencia en las comunidades altoandinas de Ayacucho, enmarcadas en una larga memoria histórica y en los procesos de construcción del Estado en el siglo XX” (Del Pino, 2017). Es así que Del Pino tomará como punto de partida los hechos acontecidos en Uchuraccay en pleno auge de acciones senderistas. Uchuraccay es conocida como la comunidad en donde se cometió el asesinato de ocho periodistas y dos comuneros en el año 1983. Este hecho ha generado múltiples interpretaciones a lo largo de los 36 años que han pasado reflejándose en diversas producciones académicas dentro de las ciencias sociales.

In this work we present the characterization of the microphytoplankton assembly in the Baía de Todos os Santos, considering the local abiotic conditions, in short time series, in order to increase the knowledge about the composition, diversity and distribution patterns of phytoplankton in the bay. Samples were taken on three consecutive days, September 2016, in five points distributed in the northeast sector of the bay. The temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and water transparency were measured in situ. Samples (1L) were collected in subsurface (~ 0.5 m), for microphytoplankton quantitative analyzes. The species were identified based on specialized literature and quantitative analyzes were performed using the Utermöhl method. The abiotic variables evidenced a homogeneous environment, with a mass of hot and saline water, typically marine. A total of 104 taxa were identified, with diatoms showing the highest species richness and abundance, demonstrating a typical pattern found in tropical estuarine systems. Considering the importance of the composition and structure of the phytoplankton community for the ecological balance of the bay and the maintenance of ecosystem services, we highlight the occurrence of potentially harmful species, capable of causing damage to the system in the event of blooms, such as occurred at the time of bloom of Akashiwo sanguinea in the year 2007.

Festuca hystrix Boiss. and Festuca reverchonii Hackel are studied in the Iberian Peninsula. Detailed descriptions, including micromorphology of epidermis characters of these taxa are presented.

7 new citations of plants are available for the territory of Madrid as a continuation of previous works on plants of the region performed by the same authors. General and chorological information is provided for each taxon, as well as herbarium testimonies, and information on their conservation in some of the citations.

This study is a floristic investigation of the steppe region of Djelfa located in northern Algeria, with the aim of characterizing and analysing the wild flora of this region. Four stations were chosen according to a stratified sampling method and phyto-ecological surveys were carried out in 32 plots of 100m2 each. This allowed us to identify 127 taxa of plants belonging to 33 families dominated by Asteraceae (29%) and Poaceae (12%). The analysis of biological types has shown the dominance of annual Therophytes (56%) in this flora, which indicates the presence of the phenomenon of Therophytization in these regions. This phenomenon was also measured by calculating the perturbation index. The analysis of chorological types has shown the dominance of the Mediterranean element (48%), with an interesting number of endemic taxa. However, all the endemic taxa cited in the literature for this region have not been found, which reinforces our fears about the state of conservation of these taxa of biological and heritage value.

The pteridoflora of the Alboran Arc has been analyzed by applying pteridofloristic indices and its correlation with environmental variables. Likewise, taxa grouping analyzes have been carried out to define chorotypes and principal components analysis to delimit pteridogeographic units. With all these data, a conservation analysis of threatened taxa is carried out and the possible declaration of the study area with some special protection figure is assessed from a territorial point of view.

The name var. glandulosa Maire for populations of Arenaria montana L. with ovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate leaves and glandular-pubescent on their upper parts is claimed. A lectotypus is proposed for the name Arenaria montana var. major Boiss. and an identification key for the infraspecific taxa of Arenaria montana is included.
