Resumen
In order to highlight the contribution of the translation support fund administered by the Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio of the Chilean administration, in this article we aim at describing the 90 translation projects approved by this fund in the period from 2013 to 2017, and at reflecting on its contribution to the institutionalization of the discipline and practice of translation in our country. Among the results are the sustained annual increase in the number of projects and the funds allocated to them, the low participation of translators that reside in the north and south of the country, and the high presence of translations of literary genres, such as poetry, novels and essays. Finally, some measures that contribute to the optimization of the institutionalization of translation in our country will be proposed.

Resumen
This paper traces the history of the Asturian, Basque, Catalan and Galician translations of the Communist Manifesto, emphasising the role played by translation in its spread. The paper applies the concept of paratranslation to the wide array of translations in these languages to determine their underlying function. The results distinguish between several functions, ranging from political, commemorative and historical to academic and didactic editions. The paper concludes that, while all of the translations derive from the same original source text, they do not all perform the same function, rendering them not only autonomous of each other but also of the source text itself.

Resumen
This paper shows how my translations of objectivist American poet Lorine Niedecker for the bilingual volume Y el lugar era agua: Antología poética, published in 2018, have constantly sought for natural Spanish equivalences in sound and rhythm while trying, through different translating and rhetorical techniques, to keep the tone of strangeness that a more literal approach to the translation (after Walter Benjamin’s reflections on the translation of experimental poetry) would render. To this end, specific translation uses (punctuation sings such as the long dash and other visual display elements, paraphrasing and amplification, homophony, alliteration, and techniques for the reproduction of a sustained tone in the target text) will be explained with respect to the translation choices for some of the most successful poems of the author.

Resumen
This study aims to describe the current panorama of accessibility training in Spain. In addition to the postgraduate university courses on audio description and subtitling for the deaf that have been offered up to now, there is also the specialization course in accessibility recently approved by Royal Decree 94/2019. Once the training programmes have been analyzed, we describe the competences that the students are expected to acquire according to the classification of competences that the «accessibilitator» must acquire (Díaz Cintas, 2007a). The results indicate that accessibility is present in many postgraduate courses, although it is approached in a very heterogeneous way. Nevertheless, there is a certain consensus regarding the competencies required for the future accessibility expert.

Resumen
This article studies the audio description of Television Española (TVE) in its broadcast on DTT and online. This modality of inter-semiotic translation is included in the European and Spanish regulations as an accessibility service for people with sight loss aimed at complying with fundamental rights such as equal access to media content. Through a content analysis and a reception study based on user surveys, the study describes the levels of audio description of public television and measures the satisfaction of receivers with this service.

Resumen
A fundamental component of the book market is editorial translation, whose professionalization takes root in the 20th century. Although many of the most widely read titles are translations, the Spanish book market is so unique that only a small percentage of the associated editorial translators can devote themselves entirely to book translation as a professional activity. In addition, students of Translation and Interpreting studies who wish to enter the publishing translation market are often unaware of how it works. To solve this lack, the students themselves, as part of a fieldwork, have interviewed two editors and seven professionals of literary translation. The interviews presented in this work help not only to know certain aspects of the publishing translation market in Spain, but also to clarify some doubts of those translators who intend to carve out a career in it.

Resumen
Healthcare emergencies require rapid responses to ensure that citizens have access to information to prevent disease transmission and minimise risks. In multicultural societies, informative materials must be available in several languages to reach diverse groups. In the context of the COVID-19 healthcare emergency in Spain, this paper explores institutions responsible for translating materials, contents covered, their format and target languages. Websites of institutions containing healthcare information are examined, to subsequently analyse a sample of materials and select examples. Results indicate that official entities and NGOs are the two main entities concerned with translating materials. Both major and minority languages are covered. Contents usually include a description of symptoms and preventive measures. Some entities deviate from this tendency and approach additional issues, such as psychological well-being. Written texts seem to be the most common format, but one of the NGOs also develops culturally-adapted videos. Subtitling and updated materials are suggested to improve efficiency.

Resumen
This paper aims to analyse how audio description (AD) deals with violence. The study focuses on a preliminary descriptive analysis of the AD of violent scenes in three Quentin Tarantino films, namely, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds and The Hateful Eight. To carry out the analysis, the concept of film violence has been defined. Violent scenes from the abovementioned films have been selected and these scenes have been classified according to the strategy used to elaborate the AD (retention, generalization, specification or omission). Results have allowed us to establish trends in the AD of violence in films.
