Resumen
Adolescence is still an open field for research, as well as an object of concern for parents, teachers and public institutions. Different disciplines are focused on its study using diverse and sometimes contradictory approaches. This article tries to classify the various characteristics and theories that define adolescence and aims to establish a functional concept of adolescence from both a universal and cultural-historical perspective.

Representation of political action among chilean students: Dissemination of meanings in social media
Cárdenas Neira, Camila

Resumen
This paper examines the performance of the political action that Chilean students generated in social media. The purpose of the study is established three places of enunciation that work as simultaneous spaces of resistance: streets, classrooms, and screens. Selected Facebook and Twitter publications that range from August 2011 to July 2013 will be studied through the lens of Critical Discourse Analysis. A communicative perspective based on the focus analysis of resemiotization/resemantization permits to observe the link between topologies and emerging gnoseologies, reformulating online hetero and auto-representation practices in terms of complex identification processes in permanent tension. These are recontextualized from the establishment of a common sociocognitive basis: the meanings that students move from some discursive spaces to others reconstruct representations, based on an intertextuality marked historically and generationally with special emphasis on knowledge and shared memories.

Resumen
The article proposes a critical analysis from the perspective of governmentality about the ways in which the sociology of youth in general, and the approach of transitions in particular, study theoretical and methodologically the link between youth and work and the analysis conducted respect of the state mechanisms for youth work insertion. It is sustained that this perspective has been dominant over the interpretation of youth issues and the world of work, helping to build the problems and, thus, their objectification. In this respect, from the analysis of their dimensions and the influence they have in the planning of state mechanisms for youth work insertion, are proposed some other alternatives for dealing with them from a perspective over their power effects.

Resumen
This investigation presents family and primary socialization factors that influence the sale of drugs by girls and adolescents living in the VI Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins Region, Chile. Specifically, this research is focused on parenting skills and educational models that forged their low selfcontrol and allowed their familiarity with drugs. Similarly, attention is paid into micro-trafficking typical elements that lead to the interviewees to commit this crime instead of other crimes, as well, as to determine typical female elements that facilitate drug sales. Finally, some changes in girls selfperception based on their accumulated experience and identification with no generational models (adults) is explained.

Resumen
Today we face the ongoing challenge of adapting to the demands of a changing world. In this context, education is fundamental, especially programs for the population over 18 years old who have not completed primary/secondary school, considering negative consequences that incomplete schooling has on adults. In this context, the main objective of this article is to investigate, from a qualitative perspective, the experiences and expectations of students in the main mode of adult education existing in Chile, the regular mode. The results show that the motivations to resume schooling are associated with both practical and personal factors. In addition, among the important factors to stay within this mode are conviviality as well as the support provided by families and teachers.

Resumen
In the last decade, the Brazilian public investment for youth has produced a speech about public policy at the national level. It is important to mention the creation of the National Youth Secretariat in 2005. In order to map what is happening, it was developed a historical vision of political actions in the last 12 years at the federal level, based on official documents and official laws available. According to official records, it is concluded that there has not been a progress on the public agenda for this population, despite having a predominant focus in social class, prioritizing social policies for poor youth.
