Resumen
The article presents a study over the discourses on poverty produced by young volunteers that work in three different social programmes of the City of Valparaíso. The research work was of a qualitatitive discursive kind and text analysis were carried out as well as individual and group semi structured interviews. A total of three technicians responsible of each programme and 24 young people took part in the study. The results showed a discursive order noted by presenting three poverty variations: a) individual clue, b) structural clue and, c) existential clue. In a social-institutional order distinguished by a social life merchantilizing process, state sphere loss of influence, surging of the relational sphere and high assent in the poverty social intervention, the first discursive variety appears as the one with higher authorization and legitimacy, the second appears to be in a de-authorization process and the third one is rather invisible, although not loosing circualtion legitimacy.

Resumen
The following article provides an insight into the construction or configuration of an ideal of youth in Chile on the basis of the analysis of the representation of the young female body instilled by the Chilean magazine Margarita, in circulation from the 1930s. The analysis included the interpretation of advertising images through a semiotic reading focused on revealing their textual and visual dimension. The results of this article highlight the main ideal attributes in the young female body, which eventually became undisputed standards until today, as well as the means and strategies used by advertising for spreading, encouraging and stilling such ideal of body.

Resumen
The following article analyses the ideological and political differences emerging among the leaders of the university student movement during 2011. On the basis of the theory of cleavages, it is suggested that students’ proposals and their representation built on a new social fracture, the latter being an outcome of their criticism of mercantilization of higher education. Throughout demonstrations, other differences among the student leaders from the most important student organizations and federations were made evident, especially concerning issues such as negotiations with the government, representation, participation, decision-making process and the movement’s future.
