The article has the purpose of explaining the place that rural “normalista” students, organized in the Federation of Farmworker Students of Mexico (FECSM), had in the corporate policy of the government of Lázaro Cárdenas (1934-1940), a little explored aspect of that government that was so decisive in Mexican political history of the twentieth century.

Within the framework of the Nicaraguan revolution, a small group of internationalist militants organized to collaborate with the triumph of the insurrectionary movement, its name was Brigade Simón Bolívar. After the fall of Anastasio Somoza, and once the government of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) was installed, the brigade had a short but intense political life. In this sense, the text addresses its ideological origin, its organizational development, as well as the place that has had its formation and expulsion from the Central American country within specialized literature.

A project that had in the enterprising men and active young men their desired architects to transform the country, provided that they managed to highlight their virile characteristics in front of other men, their counterpart, distinguished by physical weakness and passivity. Chiapas was no stranger to those discourses where the masculine ideal, desired normative, is exemplified with the intention of disciplining the body through measures considered regenerative such as education, work and physical activity.
