This interpretivist research aims to understand connections and elements that form the geek universe assemblage as well as its value creation process. It uses theoretical articles associated with value creation (ARSEL, 2015) and assemblage theory (DELANDA, 2006). As a methodological procedure, participant, and non-participant observations (JORGENSEN, 1989) were conducted at geek universe events and in-depth interviews (MCCRACKEN, 1988). The collected material was transcribed and organized with Microsoft Word. In the data analysis, the thematic analysis served as inspiration (BRAUN; CLARKE, 2012) and five major themes were identified: i) Geek identification: gradual connection and materiality-oriented; ii) Geek identity and consumption: recognition connection; iii) Geek identity and consumption: emotional and belonging connection; iv) Geek identity and consumption: perennial connection and for exhibition and v) Geek identity and consumption: connection mediated by physical space.

This study aims to answer how unintentional consumer slowdown affects fashion consumption. Studies related to fashion and temporal disconnections experienced by consumers are considered as a theoretical basis. Phenomenological interviews were carried out with women who had their consumption practices modified as a result of the pandemic, and hermeneutic analysis was applied to the data. As a result, impacts on consumption resulting from the deceleration were found, which are related to the environments accessed, with the reduction of socializations, and with the discomfort with body changes that occurred during social isolation. The work makes theoretical contributions to the phenomenon of deceleration, showing elements that compose it, and bringing useful information to support managerial decisions in periods of deceleration by showing how women have been related to the consumption of clothes in the period.

This study aims to understand how sociomaterial relations between humans and non-humans are constituted beyond dialogicity, that is, the relationship between the consumer and a specific consumption object. For this, it is based on the object-oriented Ontologies (HARMAN, 2018), considering wardrobes as central units in the composition of assemblages, which bring together different objects in relation to each other. The methodological procedures aimed at object-centered experience, observing how sociomateriality in action operates in different ways from these collective interactions. From the analysis of wardrobes as consumption assemblages (CANNIFORD and BAJDE, 2016), the work highlights an alternative conceptual framework capable of offering fashion studies new theoretical resources to understand the relationship between different objects.

This article brings a part of a master’s research, of an ethnographic character, which seeks to analyze the constructions of masculinity and social distinction through the consumption of clothing. Using more canon bibliographies in gender studies on masculinity and consumption, more precisely Kimmel’s notions of Self-Made Men and Nikolas Rose’s image of the entrepreneurial self, we seek to discuss how there is a relationship between consumption and the performance of the identity of women. genre. Concluding, therefore, that these men establish among themselves based on clothing (their negotiation spaces, the way they relate to each other in the group and outside it) and the need for men to also place themselves as entrepreneurs in this environment of sociability and consumption.

Pesticides are chemical products used in agriculture to control pests and their extensive use represents a serious threat to health. The objective of the study was to systematically analyze the available evidence on the main damage caused by pesticides in the health of farmers. A systematic review was carried out applying the PRISMA technique. The ScienceDirect, Scielo and PubMed databases were used as search engines. The following search filter was used: that the publication date is between 2014 and 2022, only scientific articles in English, Spanish, and Portuguese were considered. The search keywords were: “pesticides”, “exposure”, “farmers” and “health”. In the 50 selected scientific articles, it was found that the most prevalent diseases were the following: Parkinson's, motor and neurobehavioral damage, cancer, genetic damage, sleep disturbances, hematological damage, and general symptoms such as respiratory problems, skin irritation, and pain. headache, sore throat, and nausea. The evidence found has shown that pesticides have acute, chronic, and long-term effects on the health of farmers. On the other hand, the identification of risk factors associated with the use of pesticides will serve as the basis for the design of timely and effective interventions.
