The research follows the aim of confirming to what extent there is a correlation between Spanish press´s contents and the reputation among audiences related to these media outlets. From the notion of reputation which underlines variables like credibility, informative rigour, journalistic quality and also professional ethics and deontology, the present content analysis studies those variables regarding most relevant Spanish newspapers (ABC, El Mundo, El País, El Periódico de Catalunya and La Vanguardia) and also national online media (El Confidencial, El Diario.es and Infolibre). Additionally, the results are compared and contrasts with survey data to professionals and informed readers about their perception of aforementioned mass media. This article proposes an analysis of the correlation between the loss of media credibility, information disarray, and the lack of transparency in news production processes. For this reason, the case study of a report published by the newspaper El Mundo in its Crónica supplement is presented herein for the purpose of analysing the ways in which  disinformation manifests itself in the well-established press, and to what extent this may affect the press beyond what happens on social networks. The use of fabrication or the impersonation of trustworthy sources involved in the hoaxes that circulate on the Internet culminates in the indiscriminate mixing of false with true data, and the vague references to sources, the identities of which is impossible to verify, among other situations.

This article presents a structural map of the agents operating in the local radio and television sector in the Canary Islands through the spectrum. The objective is to characterize the local communication system in the territory, taking as the main line of scientific reflection the research on the concept of diversity applied to the field of audiovisual industries (McQuail, 1998; Napoli, 1999; Albornoz and García Leiva, 2017a and 2017b). Based on the analysis of the agents who are granted broadcasting licenses and the signals emitted through them, the research reveals that the map is configured around an idea of diversity understood as insularity, in accordance with the territory.

The use of visual elements, such as images in communication, add to a brand more than a simple text. The main objective of this work is to analyze the influence that fashion micro-influencers have on the behavior of their followers through Instagram. The methodology is based on a model of structural equations (SEM) to analyze the influence that micro-influencers have in the way of interacting, recommending and buying from their followers. The results, based on data collected from 1,358 followers of fashion micro-influencers, show, first of all, that the more post with images the micro-influencers publish in their account, the greater reaction they will provoke in their followers. Secondly, the followers of micro-influencers, as they become an active part of the process of visual communication and co-creation of value, tend to recommend these accounts through other social media. Third, followers rely on the opinion leader's publications due to their experience with the product and their acquired knowledge. This influence is much greater when the personality of the micro-influencers matches that of their followers.

In a context marked by the holding of elections in Catalonia (21 December 2017), the main objective of the research is to find out about the Twitter activity of the Spanish politicians with the highest influence index. At the same time, the aim is to check the level of engagement between leaders and the public and the political response to the main citizens' concerns (CIS). Using a methodology of comparative analysis of quantitative and qualitative content on a sample of 1,265 tweets, we analysed the Klout influence indicator of eight main candidates from the four parties with the largest parliamentary representation in Spain (PP, PSOE, Ciudadanos and Podemos). The results reveal that the possible influence of politicians is related to the issues discussed and the use of resources provided by Twitter, ahead of the number of followers and the ability to interact with users.

The aim of this study is to analyze and assess the treatment given by monthly women's magazines in Spain on information related to Complementary and Alternative Medicine Therapies (CAM) as an alternative to treat the most common ailments amongst women, A content analysis of the ten most read monthly women's magazines has been carried out, according to data from the General Media Study (3,530,000 monthly circulation between 2016 and March 2017). The sample includes the CAM contents published between January 1st, 2015 and December 31th, 2016. The search provides 96 units of analysis that linked CAM scans to the treatment of some pathology. The results reveal that the published contents present the CAM as occasional remedies for minor ailments and the scarce use of documentary sources to elaborate the contents on these practices is verified. Likewise, the use of unauthorized personal sources or those with a conflict of interest (models and experts in CAM) is used to support this type of contents.

This article reflects how communication policies, applied in Andalusia, affect the design of audiovisual maps that shape the territory socially and culturally. Its application creates a media reality that builds imaginaries without plurality. Thus, the population is left without references to discuss the nearest issues. This research reflects the need to legislate to preserve public service and the general interest on the part of private actors, as they dominate the radio spectrum in the autonomous community. Based on the study of private commercial radio concessions granted in Andalusia, important elements are proposed to include in public policies, to generate more plural and democratic territories, where citizenship is an active part of the process communication, and not a mere receiver. Preserving these values, audiovisual contexts will be built that do not invisise any reality and that understands culture as fundamental in territorial vertebration.

Social networks, in particular Twitter, have become an essential part of journalistic routines. Its use in areas such as international journalism has encouraged, in addition to mobile and real-time coverage, projects for weekly rotation of curators to control the content of a Twitter account. This study tackles the teaching innovation project "International Journalism Tweet Week" that was developed, applying the InteRmetodología of the Relational factor, from September 14 to December 9 2018, in the subject of "International Journalism I: the global information" at Carlos III University of Madrid, with 51 participating students and a total of 6,130 tweets, with a potential impact of 1,787,155. The findings showed a greater participation of the students based on collaborative learning, an increased interest in the subject and international issues, a better selection of information and sources on Twitter, and a high degree of satisfaction with the subject.

Fact Checking platforms have become a movement that, born in the United States, has spread throughout the world. It is now a tool to fight against misinformation, misperceptions and fake news in the new communicative ecosystem in which social media acquire relevance as a source of information, and in which it is increasingly easy - and accessible to millions of citizens - produce, edit and distribute (false) information. Almost all literature and case studies have focused on the United States. About fact checking in Spanish, only have been investigated those included in the Duke reporter's Lab in 2018; and nine initiatives in Spanish that have emerged since 2010 in six Latin American countries. In this article, after a theoretical framework, through a qualitative analysis, we identify and analyze the verification websites and information check activities in our country. This is complemented by interviews with journalists who have carried out fact checking initiatives in our environment. The reality of the fact checking in Spain, as will be shown, is yet in its begginings
