This study is focused in knowing how the framing of the Spanish reference press on irregular immigration through the Mediterranean is presented during 2018. Based on the content analysis of more than 700 informative pieces, a comparison is made between the first six months of the year, under the management of former president Mariano Rajoy, and the subsequent six months under the administration of Pedro Sánchez. The results show a clear thematization in the Sanchez`s stage, since the volume of news increases, as well as the editorials and the grandstands of opinion invited. There is a media interest to highlight that the phenomenon of immigration could affect coexistence in Spain and, consequently, endanger the pillars of the welfare state, while causing the collapse of citizen security, administrative and financial resources and social services.

This research describes the media representations that are built on Venezuelan migrants in two Colombian border regional newspapers: La Opinion, from Norte de Santander, and La Guajira , in the department that bears the same name. Migration Colombia announces in its studies that in 2017, one of the years of greatest exodus of Venezuelans to Colombia, 37 thousand daily entries of Venezuelan citizens to the country were reported. The border crossings in which high incomes of documented and undocumented persons are registered, are those located in the mentioned departments. Therefore, it is important to ask, from the Theory of Social Representations, and particularly from the Theory of Social Production of Communication, how from the journalistic frontier stories the image of migrants is constructed.

The article analyzes journalistic practices in the News sources selection in a context of outsourcing of professionals in broadcasters who are affiliated with radio networks in Brazil. We carried out a systematic observation aiming to verify how the situation experienced by professionals impacts the selection of sources in the construction of news. It was possible to notice, in the case of CBN Ponta Grossa, affiliated to the main Brazilian All News network, a dependence on sectors outside the newsrooms and the passivity in the use of materials from professional sources. In this case, the work format alters the dynamics of the newsroom and the journalistic production of the station.

This study characterizes, in rhetorical level, the use of journalistic values as a form of ideological expression in the discourses of Granma (digital edition) and OnCuba, on the parliamentary and presidential elections in Cuba, during the week of April 17 to 24, 2018. For this, the theoretical-methodology proposal of Teun van Dijk is assumed for the ideological analysis of journalistic discourse. As a result of the investigation, it is verified that novelty, presupposition, relevance, deviation and negativity, and proximity are the fundamental journalistic values ​​that both media use to legitimize themselves as objectives. Although their editorial policies are ideologically opposed, Granma and OnCuba agree in recognizing the Cuban people as the most valuable member of their corresponding ingroups; rhetorical strategy that allows them to rise as defenders of the Cubans, despite the fact that the members of their respective outgroups are, obviously, ideo-political adversaries.

The perceived effectiveness of established and innovative media accountability instruments is analyzed in Andalusia, Euskadi, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid and Valencia, and by means of a survey conducted among journalists, focus groups with media consumers in each community, and in-depth interviews with experts. Some differences are observed across professionals, citizens and experts and amongst the different autonomous communities. Audience participation in media accountability is the most controversial aspect.

The study of literary critique texts published in the press is a relevant part of critical social research. It is a type of foundational text in the press media system, which moves between literature and incipient journalism in such a rich and complex way that makes it a particularly interesting document to know the way in which the press shaped the mediatized public sphere. We show the role played by the literary critique of Hernán Díaz Arrieta (Alone) during the Unidad Popular period (1970-1973). To do so, we applied the critical analysis of the discourse metodology to a corpus of his literary critiques, published mainly in the newspaper El Mercurio at that time. The research shows, generally, how literary critique is a text that contributes to the political discussion of an era and, specifically, how Alone's critiques were part of the rhetoric that promoted the end of the Unidad Popular government and the installment of the military dictatorship in Chile.

This article deals with the presence on television of the main political parties and leaders who were candidates for the Presidency of the Spanish Government during the General Elections of April 28, 2019. The study aims to verify whether presence on television is proportional to the results achieved in Parliament by the different political parties and, at a time, check if their presence on the internet is also equivalent. The study has already been done on the mentions that leaders and political parties had in the main DTT networks in Spain from April 1st to 29th of the same month, the latter of post-election analysis in the media. Likewise, the number of mentions and news generated on the internet was also checked. By studying the results, we can extract that leaders and political parties´ TV presence had a similar proportion with the electoral results of April 28th, while Internet searches and presence showed mixed results.

This article analyses the regulation of internships of the 18 Spanish public universities where the Journalism degree was taught during the 2017-2018 academic year. The aim is to determine the way in which they regulate the aspects related to the professional routines of the students. A content analysis sheet with four variables —duration of the working day, economic endowment, compatibility regime with the studies and maximum period of development of the internships— is applied to the documents. Among other results, it is observed that only 27.8% of the universities establish remuneration for the internships, and although the majority sets a cap for the sessions (from 4 to 8 hours), 44.4% of the institutions let the companies be the ones to set the schedules of the students. Considering the payment-schedule axis, the universities in the sample are classified into four groups: guarantors, remunerative with limited regulation, non remunerative with limited regulation and deregulated.

The evolution of the television medium is causing changes in the advertising formats incorporated into the medium. The advertising sector is immersed in a period of change in various ways, from the structural to the type of insertions to be made in the programming. Methodologically, we use the qualitative technique of Delphi, the most recommended in prospective approaches to emerging study objects, such as HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV). It is concluded that the key factors that define the advertising sector are the digital transformation and the business model, and, after three years, personalization, automation and programmatic. As communication channels that will use advertising more, social networks rise, and as knowledge, skills and competencies that the advertising professional of the future must gather, the strategy stands out.

In this paper is discussed of the importance of insight in the advertising sector. This implies knowing its origin, as well as its importance in the strategic and creative process of advertising campaigns. Methodology. A qualitative methodology is used by the Delphi method. Interviews with strategic planning experts show the use of insight in advertising agencies when developing effective advertising campaigns. Results A good insight helps connect the brand with the consumer and helps advertisers meet their campaign goals. Results. In order to achieve effective publicity, insight has to connect with people, create value, identify... and even if not, this effectiveness is not guaranteed. Conclusions You can not attribute the effectiveness of advertising campaigns solely and exclusively to a good insight, they are also important elements such as creativity or strategy, among others.
