Lawsuits for rape and unfulfilled marriage gave rise, in the cases which resulted in pregnancy, to proceedings for recognition of paternity and food supply. The rights of newborn children out of wedlock were determined by the legislation on filiation. Nevertheless, thanks to deeds of obligation (“escrituras de obligación”) established between individuals, and the lawsuits that followed them towards the civil and ecclesiastical courts, we can know the commitments of father not only with the newborn child, but also with the mother before and after the birth.

Carlism was a political movement that was joined in the Spanish Civil War on the rebellious side. However, it was opposed to the unification process decreed by Franco. This unification also involved the consolidation of symbology, and the emergence of the commemorative days. This happened with the Festivity of the Martyrs of the Tradition, which since 1939 suffered a duplicity. From the celebration of this festivity during the Franco’s regime, their opposition to unification and ideological redefinition process can be seen.

This investigation analyzes one of the television programs that started the so-called mystery journalism in Spain: Más Allá. It was presented and directed by journalist and psychiatrist Fernando Jiménez del Oso and it was emitted on the second public Spanish channel since 1976 to 1981. The program dealt with many debates and interviews focused on the hidden sciences field (to concrete, it encompassed any theme related with mystery and unknown topics). It has been analyzed its presence during the programming (channel, day and hour of emission), the main dialed topics and the esthetic and audiovisual resources used to create a specific climate. It will be shown that Más Allá meant a cultural shock as it broke with some aspects of the “Franco regimen” dealing with topics that until that moment have been considered taboo

Introduction: The use of intravascular catheters is a fundamental tool for patient care, which has been associated with nosocomial bacteraemias between 15 and 30%. The objective of the study was to determine the level of knowledge and compliance of nurses regarding the protocol for central vascular access care. Materials and methods: descriptive, cross-sectional, observational study, which included 67 nursing professionals who took care of patients with central venous catheter. For the collection of data, two instruments designed from the care protocol issued by the Permanent Nursing Commission were used. Results: Personnel with an average working age of 7.9 years were found. In knowledge, 58.2% was placed in the Meet category, in contrast to compliance resulting in 91% of the staff in the Meet category. There was no correlation between knowledge and compliance (rho = -0.181, p = 0.797). Discussion: Compliance contrasted with knowledge, however, the statements for both variables were related to the lack of handwashing, leaving adequate time for antiseptics and disinfection of lumens at the time of manipulation. Conclusions: The lack of knowledge and compliance with elements of the protocol are directly related to procedural situations performed by the nursing professional, so there is no lack of material and inputs factors to not follow the standardization of care.

The poetry of the Cuban Roberto Fernández Retamar (1930) has links with the ideological and poetical thought of José Martí and Rubén Darío. Through his poetry, and not only from his essays like Caliban, Fernández Retamar stands as a custodian of the Caribbean and Latin American intellectual tradition. From this heritage, in “Le preguntaron por los persas”, he assumes concepts that refer to the function of poetry, historic circumstance, cosmopolitanism, and anti-colonialism to preserve cultural and intellectual sovereignty of Cuba and the rest of the region. This essay is elaborated through textual analysis of the poetry and the categories that guide it are based on the thought of Martí, Darío, and Fernández Retamar.

Seven poems of All the Stones of the Wall, of the Costa Rican Laureano Albán, are analyzed in this paper. This poetry book would be theoretically reasoned as result from the interpretations-writings-revelations of the Tanakh, Zohar’s Kabbalah update and, thus, reflex of the sephirot. The poems are methodologically classified according to sephirot and interpreted in connection with Kabbalistic significance of these emanations. The studied poems are those in which the lyrical subject transfers light from the sephirot malkuth, iesod, hod, tiferet and bina via the female figures of the weavers, the Torah, the beloved or spiritual sister, the pilgrim and the mother. These materialize the archetypes of mother and anima. They equally evoke the Jewish myths of the Šejina, Genesis, Paradise and Messiah.

The Colombian poet Raúl Gómez Jattin (1945-1997), one of the most pristine and praised voices of Colombian poetry of the second half of the 20th century, published the book Of Love (1988), where he gathered a complex intertextuality based on the mythology and in the cultural history of mankind. I am interested in analyzing, in this article, two poems in which Gómez Jaittin gives free rein to that decadent conception of the femme fatale, thus revisiting the figures of Medea and Electra. His attention to precious detail and voluptuousness, which leads to sadism, make the vision of women closer to the poetry of the modernist Cuban Julián del Casal, who already proposed in his poetry such a figuration of an unhealthy and pungent eroticism.
