Resumen
This article aims to identify, analyze, and interpret examples of it-fiction in the works of the Roman authors Catullus, Horace and Martial. It-fiction characteristically offers subjectivity that emanates from things, raw materials, objects in nature and animals, thus differentiating itself from object enunciation in fables (where animals are allegorical transpositions of human interests and practices) and fairy tales (where objects intervene in human actions and, on occasion, pass judgement on them). It-fiction in ancient Greek and Latin Literature can be considered a precedent for the sub gender of the same name that surfaced in Western satirical literature in the 18th and 19th centuries, in which objects such as coins, manufactured items and animals that circulated in society offered criticism on that time’s society.

Resumen
In this paper, all female characters present in the Aristophanic comedies are classified following the categories exposed by Luis Gil (1993, 2012). They are grouped in imitative characters –of real historical figures or mythical origin–, and representative characters, whether invented with an original characterization, typified with generic categorization or made with personifications, which may have allegorical meaning. Next, the invention of each character, its function and comic interactions in the play are analyzed concisely.

Resumen
Ambā is a female character who is wronged by Bhīṣma and who, later, takes revenge by her own means as the male character Śikhaṇḍin. The paper contextualizes the position of women, both in ancient India and in Sanskrit Epic literature, and analyzes the myth in its Sanskrit source (MBh. I, 94-100; V, 170-197; VI, 108-119), based on the terminology used for “vengeance” (pratikāra) and “womanhood” (strītva).

Resumen
In the Graeco-Roman world there was an awareness of the existence of differences between male and female speech. This article describes the various mechanisms that characterize the speech of female characters in the comedy Cistellaria, by Roman author Titus Maccius Plautus (II BC). Some of them include swear words normally used by women and politeness strategies, considered typical of female speech.

Resumen
Sports journalism is an area characterized by the marginalization of sportswomen and the biased nature of their coverage, as well as by the horizontal and vertical segregation of journalists in the newsrooms. Through 20 semi-structured interviews, we examine how female university students in Catalonia perceive these inequalities and how they express their future expectations in the field. Interviews with 10 experts in journalism and gender have also been conducted to delve into the challenges that the new generation of female sports journalists face. Participants are self-perceived as outsiders (Hardin and Shain, 2006) and believe that their participation in sports journalism will be interpreted from the stereotypes. The article highlights the need to ‘de-masculinize’ and broaden the diversity in academic training, as well as the importance to break the glass ceiling that prevents women to reach decision-making positions.

Resumen
The topic Beatus ille, since its formulation by the Roman poet Horace, has a long tradition in Western literature with many variations as it evolves through the ages, always retaining its semantic core. This paper aims to conduct a historical overview of this topic, as well as to analyze and interpret several examples of the modernization of this topoi, in 20th century Spanish poetry, notably “De Vita Beata” (Poemas póstumos, 1968), by Jaime Gil de Biedma, “Un tema de Horacio” (Hymnica, 1975), by Luis Antonio de Villena, and “Beata illa” (Color carne, 2009), by Erika Martínez.

Resumen
In this article we analyse the signs of variation and change of the nominal classification system in Bribri. In this language, nouns are assigned to nominal classes related to parameters such as the shape of the referent (flat, round, long) or its human character, among others. The class is realized by means of suffixes attached to the numeral roots, therefore it has been conceived as a system of numeral classifiers. However, the paradigms show formal differences up to certain numbers. For this reason, it has been suspected that, due to the shift process of the language, some classes have lost their own marking in some cases. In order to evaluate this hypothesis, we turned to the oldest descriptions and discursive corpus. In addition, we collected current date on the linguistic competence of several speakers. The examination of the historical documentation shows that the paradigms have not lost their marking since the end of the 19th century. On the other hand, the current data show that the tendency of change linked to the shift process consists of extending the marking of the flat class to others.
