The general aim of this article is to revisit four critical epistemological and methodological perspectives in the research field of Social Sciences. Specifically, the following perspectives have been selected: participatory action research, militant research, collaborative research and decolonial or decolonizing methodology. From a hermeneutic-interpretive methodology their similarities are analyzed with respect to their critics to positivism and their common Latin American tradition. Moreover, it addresses a less examined aspect related to a series of nuances among perspectives, that allow the underlining of the singularity of each one. The conclusions stress the importance of taking into account the methodology dimension in order to concretize the epistemological startpoints.

This article discusses the Weberian ideal-type proposal as a way to find value freedom-neutrality in the contemporary social research, which demands greater involvement of researchers with contextual practical problems that occur around them. Currently, methodological individualism is one of the most used methodologies and it is necessary for social researchers to know the bases and assumptions that founded this tradition. Its foundation is based on the contributions of Max Weber, which can be summarized in three: the first refers to the transparency of the value question of the researcher; the second contribution is the construction of an ideal-type rational action as an instrument of interpretation with high scientific discipline; finally, it is shown the management of empirical information to impute a causal relationship for the historical context analyzed. The main contribution of the article is that it shows each phase of the ideal type method, in order to offer an alternative for the transit between research and activism: separating the theoretical-conceptual values of the practical-emotional ones.

This article systematizes the evolution of our possible strategies of doing and teaching social research in Sociology degree career. We are teachers of the area of methodology of social sciences at Comahue National University. The researches that students proposes, challenge us to problematizations about our own trajectories, conceptual schemes and theoretical-political positions, which has been consolidated in recent years in the passage through a triple epistemic turn, whose elusive drifts challenge and transmute the possible ways of doing the craft of sociology. From these positions, we propose to reflect on how the craft is built and transmitted, from a constant exercise of epistemological vigilance, which provisionally recognizes a system of always-in-permanent-suspicion schemes. We also propose to build an idea of validity that implies a double rigor of internal coherence and external theoretical-political validation.

Towards the year 1899, Pietro Gori undertook, together with Juan Vucetich, a study trip to the Penitenciarí­a de Sierra Chica with the aim of studying the prison system of Argentina and the detained population there. The results were published in Criminalogí­a Moderna (1898-1901), a journal that Gori directed during his stay in Buenos Aires, in a section entitled Estudios Carcelarios. In this article, I propose to investigate this section in theoretical and methodological terms; more specifically, my interest lies in describing in what ways the data referring to the different characteristics of the Penitenciarí­a and the convicted were constructed.

This article reflects on the implications that theoretical-epistemological conceptions of action have on the methodological level in the research process. In particular, it analyzes the methodological consequences of pragmatism as the theoretical perspective chosen to build and address a particular research object: a conflict over relocations in a popular neighborhood in the city of La Plata between 2013 and 2017. It will seek to account for certain theoretical-epistemological displacements inspired by this theoretical current, which at the same time led to specific ways of deploying ethnographic fieldwork.

The aim of this paper is to describe the procedure for the construction of one of the indicators of a variable of occupational trajectory in which we compare the occupation at twenty-five years of age and their current occupation (or the last occupation in the case of retirees). The study in which the indicator will be used has as a general aim to analyze the processes of reproduction and occupational change, in the framework of social classes. The data comes from a random multi-stage survey done in 2015-2016 between 1065 members of households from the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), from which we have selected a sub-set of men and women between 35 and 50 years old. For the processing of the data for the construction of the transversal indicator we used the statistical software Stata.

In this article we develop some problems and reflections on the methodological and conceptual construction for the study of the enactment (Ball, Maguire & Braun, 2012) of educational policies at the level of school institutions. We propose an ethnographic approach (Rockwell, 1987, 1995) and a microphysical analytic (Deleuze, 2014) of the enactment processes focused on the description of the effects and modes of affectation that the policies produce once they reach the schools. We start from the premise that we do not study in schools but "in" schools and attending to the knowledge and experiences of the subjects.

In this review of the book Introducción a la Investigación cualitativa: Fases, métodos y técnicas, by the authors Verd and Lozares, we try to present the issues addressed in this work and also share an appreciation regarding their main inputs and contributions. We understand that the book becomes relevant for the way it outlines the development of the research process, from the initial questions to the preparation of the reports. It renews some answers to classic questions from the methodology field, it is positioned on the quality standards required and the importance of making autonomous and reflective decisions for scientific production.

El análisis de la historia del deporte en La Rioja es hoy en día un terreno insuficientemente explorado. Hasta hace relativamente poco tiempo el conocimiento que se tenía en esta región sobre disciplinas deportivas como el velocipedismo era bastante exiguo, señalándose fundamentalmente que se trató de un deporte muy subsidiario, con apenas apoyo y seguidores. Las fuentes revelan que no fue exactamente así. Por eso, con este artículo se pretende desmitificar aquellas aseveraciones que han colocado a la velocipedia en un plano muy secundario, mostrando para ello que ésta tuvo un significativo arraigo en dos ciudades riojanas de primer orden: Logroño y Haro. Así, tras realizar un somero repaso de la trayectoria del deporte a nivel europeo y español, se pasa a estudiarlo tomando a La Rioja como referente, para finalmente analizar en perspectiva comparada dos de las entidades velocipédicas riojanas más destacables del siglo XIX: Veloz Club Riojano y Club Velocipedista Harense. AbstractToday the analysis of the history of sport in La Rioja is a ground of pioneers. Until recently, the knowledge in this region about sports disciplines such as velocipedism was quite meager. Nevertheless, the access to ancient press sources lets know in a greater depth the first steps of the Rioja velocipedism. Therefore, this article aims to stimulate the knowledge about the Rioja cyclism history through the studying of two main cities: Logroño and Haro. Subsequently, after conducting a brief review of the trajectory of Sport in Spain and Rioja, it is analyzed two of the most outstanding Riojan velocipedic entities of the 19th century: Veloz Club Riojano and Club Velocipedista Harense.

La evaluación tiene un papel definitorio en la formación profesional de cualquier carrera y la Educación Física no es la excepción. El valor que se le otorga en los trayectos formativos debe ser sometido a análisis verdaderamente críticos, que consideren sus estatutos fundamentales sostenidos bajo esa impronta que ha legitimado incontables mecanismos de gobierno, que han limitado categóricamente los márgenes de manifestación de la sociedad en su totalidad. Desde esta perspectiva, se han establecido incontables y diversos procesos de cuantificación, bajo el nombre de evaluación, operando en nombre del tan proclamado progreso, pero que no han hecho más que reforzar permanentemente el poder coercitivo de las tecnologías gubernamentales en las democracias occidentales, pero, como se podrá observar en el siguiente texto, definidas hacia el desarrollo de las libertades más avanzadas, instituyendo el condicionamiento de ser siempre, y casi exclusivamente, posibles de ser resueltas por el propio accionar del ser humano. AbstractThe evaluation has a defining role in the professional training of any career, and Physical Education is no exception. The value that is given to it in the formative paths must be subjected to truly criticalanalyzes, which consider its fundamental statutes, under that imprint that has legitimized countless mechanisms of government, which have categorically limited the margins of manifestation of society asa whole. From this perspective, countless and diverse quantification processes have been established, under the name of evaluation, operating in the name of such proclaimed progress, but that have onlypermanently reinforced the coercive power of government technologies in Western democracies, but, as can be seen in the following text, defined towards the development of the most advanced freedoms,instituting the conditioning of being always, and almost exclusively, possible to be resolved by the human being's own actions.
