Resumen
To evaluate the natural revegetation as a restoration strategy, the dynamics, structure and regeneration of the plant communities should be understood. The objective of this work is to analyze the changes in the forest structure of the plant communities in the center of Córdoba, its dynamics, and regeneration along a time lapse of six years, evaluating the effect of cattle and precipitations. In 16 sites located in the Natural Reserve of the Defensa La Calera the woody species and their regeneration were surveyed (2013, 2016, 2019) in four different plant communities. Cattle was excluded from seven sites and it was present in low loads in the other nine (~12 ha EV-1). The local standardized precipitation indexes were calculated. The cattle exclusion did not lead to higher regeneration. In the communities a positive evolution towards maturity was observed, with the most dynamic communities being those of Sebastiania. In the deforested areas, Geoffroea decorticans and Schinus fasciculatus present an important survival rate and growth speed. In Vachellia and Schinopsis communities the regeneration follows the precipitation dynamics. According to the results, passive revegetation is an important recovery strategy in natural and semi-natural environments of the center of Córdoba.

Resumen
The proportions of fatty acids present in eggs and gonads of wild and captive Lutjanus guttatus (Steindachner, 1869) were evaluated to assist in obtaining nutritional information necessary to improve the diets provided in aquaculture production centers of this species. Samples of eggs and gonads were obtained from broodstock (1.0±0.1 kg) kept in the Pacific Marine Park (PMP), Costa Rica, and from individuals caught by fishermen in their natural environment. The samples were taken in triplicate during the period spanning from August to September 2015. Captive snappers were fed a fresh diet. Spawns and gonads were obtained from two groups of 16 specimens each of captive and wild fish, both groups having a sex ratio of 1:1 male to female. Gonads from females were selected according to their maturity stage, and male gonads were sampled based on the quantity, viscosity and color of semen. There were no statistically significant differences (p≥0.05) between egg diameters and oil droplets size; viability rates, expressed as percentages, were considered to be high and appropriate for comparison (91.2% captive, 86.1% wild). There were also no statistically significant differences in the fatty acid composition of eggs obtained from wild and captive females (p=0.2188), or in gonads from males (p=0.6179) and wild and captive females (p=0.1153). The presence of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) was observed in all of the samples analyzed, while arachidonic acid (ARA) was found in amounts ranging from 0.38 to 5.07% and was not present in the eggs of wild females or in the gonads of captive females.

Resumen
This study is intended to answer the question of how to integrate remote usability tests into eXtreme Programming. The study is based on a literature review involving search, selection and results classification. Keywords, emerging categories, and search strings in relevant databases were used. An analysis of the current state of the components and processes that have been used in this type of integration has led to a combined approach in areas such as: 1. Requirements management, 2. Management of team members including developers, usability evaluators, experts and final users, 3. Management of tests, data collected and feedback, 4. Design, and 5. Activities carried out within an iteration. It is concluded that more research, experimentation and documentation are necessary to be able to recommend integration processes that satisfy demands and take advantage of eXtreme Programming and remote usability tests. Finally, it is necessary to confront the challenges posed by the difference in the holistic visions of both approaches, as well as communication problems between usability developers and evaluators, adaptation of eXtreme components, and the limited priority assigned to usability efforts.

Resumen
The objective of this study was to analyze the management and use of organic solid waste through generation rates by type of waste in the sodas of the Campus Omar Dengo of the National University of Costa Rica. The raw and cooked residues were collected in five sodas, weighed and based on this data, daily waste generation rates were calculated. In addition, a survey was conducted in order to determine the perception of users about this problem. It was evidenced that the amount of waste varied significantly during the sampling period and it varies in each soda. Social aspects, as well as quality and proximity, induce greater user assistance; therefore, the generation of waste is increased. It is concluded that it is necessary deeper studies that allow the reduction of waste, as well as the awareness of the users of the sodas.

Resumen
The principal objective of this research is to analyze the impact of the earthquake of September 05, 2012 on a set of sixteen Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) stations located in Costa Rica. This is an explanatory investigation based on the calculation of weekly free solutions, which were later combined to obtain a final solution which was in turn used to generate time series that show variations in the position of the stations. It was observed that GNSS stations located at a maximum distance of 140 km from the epicenter of the earthquake experienced changes in both their position and in the magnitude of their speed, with the stations located in the Peninsula de Nicoya being the most affected. It is concluded that the event studied produced significant changes in the position of thirteen of the analyzed stations, while three stations were not affected by the earthquake.

Resumen
This article presents the results of the project entitled Mathematics Education and Digital Technologies, conducted in the research group of Curriculum Studies of Mathematics Education (GECEM), of the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education (PPGECIM), from Universidade Luterana do Brasil (ULBRA), Canoas, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is understood that technologies have changed the way humans interact and think regarding the world around them, and mathematics education needs to adapt to this reality. The problem that motivated the GECEM group to conduct this research on digital technologies was: What are the didactic possibilities of digital technologies for mathematics education in basic and higher education? The paper analyzes the pedagogical potential of digital technologies (computers, tablets, smartphones, calculators) in mathematics education, both in basic and higher education (teacher training and courses that use mathematics as support in professional training). The methodology used during the research was exploratory with an analytical-descriptive approach. For instance, a robotic arm simulator was used as a learning object for the visualization of triangle areas and didactic sequence, for the statistics and environmental education topic. The results of using digital resources have been positive, and such resources have potential to be used by teachers in the classroom; therefore, they should be explored for didactic planning, both in basic education as well as to train teachers.

Resumen
This research explores the impact of negative emotions of 2 teachers at the moment they are teaching mathematics through an emotional profile. The methodology adheres to the qualitative paradigm, and the research design is the case study. The participants are Karla, a novice high school teacher (15-18-year-old students) and Norma, an experienced primary school teacher (6-12-year-old students). The results demonstrate that Karla experiences 5 emotions during the teaching of mathematics, 2 positive (joy and pride) and 3 negatives (self-reproach, reproach, and distress). Norma has 5 emotions, 2 positive (joy and satisfaction) and 3 negatives (self-reproach, disappointment, and remorse). In the case of Karla, her negative emotions lead her to lose her motivation, when she is teaching; in a certain way, she tends to avoid classroom situations that trigger those negative emotions. In Norma’s case, negative emotions are related to her poor mathematical knowledge, therefore she feels “unarmed” to be able to face the demands of her students when she experiences negative emotions; unlike Karla, Norma faces the situations that trigger in it the negative emotions. Based on the analyzed cases, we emphasize the importance to develop the emotional knowledge in math teachers to optimize the regulation of the negative emotions and develop their classes in an emotionally stable environment.

The article proposes, through a particular case, to delve into the problem of the representation of the State through architecture at the beginning of the 20th century, when the foundations of modern Uruguay were still under construction. Through the review of an immediate antecedent, an exposition of the Ministry of Public Works in 1914 published in the Revista de la Asociación Politécnica del Uruguay, the work reflects on the Uruguayan shipment to the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915, held at the city of San Francisco, in the United States. The buildings, represented through photographs and graphics, not only showed a desired modern Uruguay - highly literate, equipped and progressive - but also a conception of the architecture and construction of its capital, Montevideo, indebted to the concept of «monumentality». Under this conception, creator of «lay temples», architectural institutions and high politics found a common fund to operate.
