Given the need to continue improving the teaching of Animal Husbandry - Veterinary at the Polytechnic Institute of Agriculture (IPA) "Manuel Simón Tames Guerra", from a greater consideration of the student as the main protagonist of the teaching-learning process, it is proposed to center the teaching-educational process of this specialty in the knowledge and development of student learning styles as a way to treat content. To this end, a didactic strategy was elaborated that contributed to improve the teaching of the subjects of the Zootechnics - Veterinary specialty considering the characterization of the learning styles of the students. Its assessment was made through the method of specialist criteria.

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a very useful approach for the design of tailor-made syllabuses in varied academic and professional contexts such as polytechnic institutes, art vocational schools and military vocational schools. The theoretical foundations that lay the ground for its significance, its history, its distinguishing features, its evolutionary developmental stages, its objectives, the roles of the practitioner, the stages for its teaching and the required elements for syllabus design are discussed in this article in order to contribute to its knowledge and later implementation in the teaching of English in specific contexts. The following methods were used in this research: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, historical-logical, observation and critical source analysis.

This article offers the readers a study of the application of the professional approach to the use of informatics tools as teaching aids, to give the university students an active role in learning and help them develop professional acting styles. The objective is to reveal the formative results of the application of a professional approach to the use of the informatics tools as teaching aids in university majors. This article started from a thorough research in the sources directly linked to its topic. The authors processed the sources, which data generalized by means of the logic procedures of the scientific knowledge: analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction. Likewise, the materials were selected according to the demands of the research process.

The environmental problem raises the need to develop a culture that provides an awareness of its causes and ways of solving for the improvement of the quality of life, which can only be achieved through Environmental Education. The present work with the objective of determining the theoretical foundations of the Environmental Education process for the discipline Biological Bases of Medicine, is based on the integration of theoretical and empirical methods that assume as a general approach the dialectical - materialist method for the determination of the components and the main dialectical relationships between them. As a result, a proposal is offered for the foundations of the Environmental Education process for the Biological Bases discipline and a strategy for its implementation, considering that its implementation will guarantee a greater preparation of teachers to face the introduction of the environmental dimension.

Waste pickers are placed in a context of vulnerability. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to understand the working conditions and the health situation of waste pickers who work in an association located in the city of Ceilândia in the Federal District. This is a qualitative study that used the ethnographic approach. The densely applied techniques were semi-structured interviews and informal conversations, as well as participant observation of the workplace. The results show that the pickers experience complex social contexts regarding their working condition, which causes damage to their physical and psychological health. The reality of daily life shows that the work could be developed with more dignity, if the public power had focused attention to meet the needs of these subjects. Moreover, they are totally helpless, resisting the contexts of poverty, the daily situations of gender inequality, the stereotypes of occupation and unemployment. The life, work and health contexts of waste pickers have specific peculiarities inherent in being waste pickers in capitalist society. For this reason, to survive in the midst of the diseases and health problems naturally produced by the daily life of the occupation, added to this the totally precarious working conditions, make being scavengers resistant subjects to inequalities, especially women scavengers.

In view of the obvious loss of gastronomic traditions in Santander, the main objective of this research is to contribute to the safeguarding of the gastronomic heritage of the Province of Yariguíes (or Province of Mares until 2019), based on the identification, characterization and analysis of its main components. From a formative research approach, the methodology used was based on the review of secondary sources on gastronomy and culture in the municipalities of San Vicente de Chucurí, Barrancabermeja, Betulia, El Carmen de Chucurí, Sabana de Torres and Puerto Wilches. Likewise, fieldwork was carried out in these municipalities in order to critically recognize the indigenous gastronomic uses, the different products and preparations and the identification of Teachers of the Kitchen to whom a semi-structured interview was applied where the customs were intended to be known, the uses and traditions in the preparations, also of the most representative agricultural products that are produced in this territory and that are part of the preparations of the traditional dishes, likewise consult about the cultural environments around the traditional and typical food of this Province. Taking into account the above, it was found that in the Yariguies province there is a varied gastronomy typical and traditional, the predominant trade is fishing, particularly with a net and hook, a trade that the inhabitants have to generate income and make their culinary preparations with fish such as bocachico, bream and the tile. Likewise, the products grown in this region such as avocado, yam, yucca, banana, among others, are part of the dishes prepared. The participation of family and friends in unison of music and dance is evident in the dynamics gastronomic of the region.Finally, as an action for safeguarding, the preparation of an audiovisual document is proposed, through which the disclosure of the document is recorded and facilitated where the characteristics of the findings are recognized under the institutional parameters of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Taking as a case study the women who work in non-domestic cleaning companies in Córdoba, Argentina, in this article we define some theoretical categories that, on the one hand,  recover the meanings and assessments that the operators give to their occupations and, on the other hand, they contemplate the main features on this type of employment. For this we adopt a qualitative methodological perspective, ethnographic, based on observations fields, records and notes and ten semi-structured interviews conducted with different women employed in different companies in the sector. After identifying the tensions that appear between the senses that these operators give to their work and the precarious features that the researchers we observe within this sector, we propose the category glass stabilities as a theorethical resource that contemplates the different dimensions that has this labor universe. This concept allows, on the one hand, to incorporate those features that this type of occupations presents, for example, contractual formality but accompanied by depreciated wages, overtime not paid, inability to plan vacations, limitations on the use of licenses, penalties, control and mistreatment. On the other hand, it also makes it possible to understand why these jobs are preferable options in relation to the previous trajectories of women. What is valued for non-domestic cleaning work is contractual and salary stability compared to their previous jobs.
