Resumen
Stories and storytelling are part of our cultural heritage and we have experimented if these experiences and memories in a learning and teaching activity can contribute to new understandings and a new sense of community. Stories connect people, while also contributing to the freedom of thinking. Referring to Walter Benjamin, the German literary critic and philosopher, this paper reflects upon the stories, myths, legends and fairytales of Venice in relation to teaching and the use of storytelling as a tool in teaching. More specifically, it concerns an exploratory study with new and unique methods and interdisciplinary collaboration that focus on understanding cultural heritage through storytelling, including the freedom of thinking as an original teaching method to initiate creativity and imagination for the students in their works. The reflection is based on practical experiences during the CRAFT summer school during the Art Biennale 2019 in Venice.

Resumen
The Sustainability shift leads to a new way of thinking in all levels of society. It does not mean to shut down production, but to produce better. Designers should understand the whole supply chain, to recognize how things can be designed to make them easier to recycle. In manufacturer level, we must be just as persistent on environmental issues. Now we can attend to export the ideas, instead of materials or stuffs. Designers can share sustainable methods for a price. Even though we cannot predict the future now, thinking sustainable is here to stay. It is the time to find solution for the future all together. By collaborating and using design thoughts we can create our common future.

Resumen
Design as Cultural Heritage is a 2018 European proposal; this draws on Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage regarded as ‘our heritage: where the past meets the future’. This paper aims to answer the research question about the nature of the space between the human been and the world. Therefore, it will analyse certain processes that occur in their thickness, focussing on ‘authenticity criteria’ employed by UNESCO to define tangible culture in order to identify different language use of ‘culture’. From these, both criteria and usage, this paper evaluate the four main reasons multidisciplinary background to support the late correlation between ‘tangible and intangible culture’. Eventually, this paper proposes four sequences of symbolic objects which embody tangible culture contents. Key Words: Culture, Tangible, Intangible, Authenticity.

Resumen
This text aims to discuss the partial rehabilitation of a 19th century building, Palacete do Lima, in Porto within the framework of cultural heritage’s preservation through architecture. In this case, it is addressed the existence of a hydraulic mosaic floor that was discovered during the rehabilitation’s process and that influenced the decisions that have been made. In effect at previous moments of intervention in the Palacete the mosaic was hidden and later recovered. This text’s reflections intend also to stress that the design solutions were as less intrusive as possible in order to not compromise future and deeper interventions that are foreseen to be undertaken.

Resumen
This article examines the cultural history of chairs to understand the many meanings the Monobloc can acquire. The history of chairs is traced from post nomadic culture through the Middle Ages to the Enlightenment period and the French Revolution. Subsequently, I will examine the Monobloc from a Cultural Studies perspective and demonstrate how its unique characteristics allow multiple meanings, which are always dependent on context and discourse. Thus, the Monobloc becomes an utterly democratic symbol of popular culture that can be appropriated for any use.

Resumen
From decolonial postulates, an analysis is given of how indigenous elements, as well as those proceeding from popular culture, were gradually introduced into Latin American design and its theory, making a case for and defending the diversity of form and the multiplicity of ways of comprehending space as a strategy against homogenisation imposed by the process of globalization. This text outlines some examples of reactions from creators to the standardisation of consumption arising from globalisation and the homogenisation of style born from the modern movement and accentuated in the post-modern movement.

Resumen
Design has proved to be a discipline deeply connected to our daily lives. Its identification as a cultural heritage element is undeniable due to its wide-ranging values. In this sense, the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona has been promoting this artistic field since its creation in 2008. This museum has a relevant social and cultural function as it is the only design museum in Spain. Furthermore, the museum also stands out because of its innovative pedagogical programmes pointed to scholars, university students, families and groups of people with accessibility problems. The aim of this article is to present the Musseu del Disseny de Barcelona from an educational perspective, paying attention to its staff members, facilities, programmes and assessment. The 2018 museum annual report results are an example of its success. In order to accomplish this study, the authors have recently interviewed in-depth some members of the pedagogical team (Serveis Educatius).

Resumen
To understand the present and prepare for the future, we must remember our past. - And as indicated with the writings of 19th century English art critic and writer, John Ruskin; material cultural heritage holds an important lesson and plays an ethical role in establishing such a remembrance. With this paper, we discuss examples of implementing storytelling as a creative-explorative teaching method to critically reflect on- and develop the awareness and understanding of material cultural heritage among students from disciplines of Art History, Architecture, and Design. Our examples stem from a workshop held during the International Art Biennale in Venice 2019 by the Erasmus+ interdisciplinary research projectCRAFT.
