Objective: to describe the factors associated with the increase in the average length of stay in the medical clinic unit of a public hospital in the Distrito Federal. Method: this is a descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective and quantitative study that analyzed medical records of patients with hospitalization period ≥ 7 days. For data collection, a specific form was used to record information related to sociodemographic and epidemiological indicators. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis, and for the data processing, absolute and relative frequencies were applied. Results: we analyzed 368 medical records, showing that there was a higher use of hospital beds by male individuals, over 60 years old and living in Sobradinho - DF. The following factors were identified that prolonged the eviction of beds: the waiting for exams, the wait for completion of antibiotic therapy time and waiting for opinions from other specialties. It was evidenced that 117 patients remained hospitalized for up to 10 days, 73 from 11-15 days and 178 >15 days. of these, 48% of the patients hospitalized in the surveyed period occupied the bed for >15 days. The mean length of stay in the health service in the period surveyed was 20,21 days. Conclusion: it was found that the delay in dehospitalization is multifactorial and that requires improvement in the management process aiming at greater agility in the provision of services. Delay in discharge hospital is avoidable if appropriate strategies are implemented within the appropriate time frame. It is hoped that the study can contribute for action planning that aim to give quick answers to the needs of users and the service, optimizing the hospitalization and discharge process and reducing dwell time.

Acute lymphocytic leukemia is a disease characterized by excessive and progressive proliferation of leukocytes in immature forms, being the most common type in childhood. The disease in its acute phase can be characterized by some oral manifestations. The objective of this study was to present the main oral manifestations that occur in pediatric patients affected by acute lymphocytic leukemia and the treatment, adding to this, we define the importance of dental management combined with a multidisciplinary team, in the face of this situation avoiding the aggravation, in addition to providing health and comfort to the patient. Material and Methods: The literary review method was used, that is, we summarized the information in an impartial and complete way, placing an overview and general and current view of several authors on the subject. Literature Review: The most common oral alterations associated with acute lymphocytic leukemia are mucositis, candidiasis, xerostomia, dysphagia, dysgeusia, hypogeusia, radiation caries and labial herpes. Such oral manifestations do not result only from the disease itself, but also as a result of treatment, which may consist of surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Discussion and Conclusions: The intervention of the dentist reduces the risks of associated complications and although the dentist is not responsible for the treatment of the disease itself, it is essential in the diagnosis and treatment of oral symptoms, considering that the therapy itself, in addition to the disease, leads to opportunistic oral manifestations due to immunosuppression.

This text is articulated with the theoretical bases that create and produce the psychology of difference – the name we attribute to the modality of psychology that enhances, deterritorializes and is machined in the premises of singularity and plurality that inhabit the subjective contours. This ethical posture of thinking to do psychological practice is dedicated to a thought that recognizes imprisonment, territorialization, but also the rhizomes that cross and create. The lines that succeed each other in this production seek to explain about the production of knowledge, the places of speech, the territorializations and the creative process - which is the opposite of recognition. It is a space that goes beyond the simple act of criticizing and moves towards the recognition of creative productions and legitimate places of speech. We highlight the whitened movements of northern discourses that tirelessly colonialize knowledge, territorializing it in acts of recognition that lead to an education of repetition. The creative act, in turn, is based on the difference that remains in continuous metamorphic becoming. Writing is the power that allows expressing insurgent thoughts that escape the colonizing bond. Potentializing education processes, generating creative acts, pervade acts that deviate from colonialism and become.

This research aimed to analyze the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on school education after the return to face-to-face classes, considering the perspectives of teachers, families and children inserted in this context. Furthermore, the research sought to describe the psycho-emotional variables and the social skills involved in this context, and to verify the correlation between them. The method of this study consists of a mixed approach, that is, quantitative and qualitative methods were used. As a way of collecting data, the following quantitative instruments were used: the Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children (MASC); the Childhood Depression Inventory (CDI); the Social Skills Assessment System – Student Version (SSRS – BR) (aimed at children) and the Hamilton Scale for Anxiety (HAM-A) for parents/guardians and teachers. As a qualitative instrument, the narrative interview was used for the three categories (children, parents and teachers). The instruments were applied to thirtyfive students, six teachers and nineteen parents/guardians, with a total of sixty participants. The evidence found in this study indicates that the social distancing caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is related to emotional repercussions associated with the context of school education after the return of face-to-face classes for both teachers, families and children.

The current literature shows that malnutrition in patients with gastric cancer is present in about 60% of patients, with variations depending on tumor stage, histological type and antineoplastic treatment, directly impacting on various aspects.  This study aims to analyze and understand the nutritional aspects, as well as their impacts/implications on the clinical outcome of patients with gastric cancer.  This is an integrative literature review study, in the period 2017-2022, by means of a survey in electronic databases on the PubMed, SCIELO, and Google Academic platforms. Six articles were selected based on a critical analysis and relevance to the suggested theme, showing the impacts of malnutrition on the clinical outcome of gastric cancer patients. Gastric cancer patients with poor nutritional status have a greater tendency to postoperative complications, higher morbidity and mortality, shorter disease-free survival, lower overall survival and lower quality of life.

The school is currently confronted with the need for a change in its pedagogical paradigm. Today, she doesn't just have to present information, she needs to work with the information that students bring to the classroom. These students, born in the digital age, are used to dynamism, agility, technology and a willingness to act. Faced with this new reality, gamification emerges as an effective possibility to bring engagement, protagonism to this student who enters the school with the possibility of research in his hand, with the impetuosity to face challenges and with the desire to have learning through pleasurable means. , playful and rewarding. The study was based on the search for important differentiations for the theme in question, turning to theorists specialized in the subject and on the presentation of an example of gamification carried out in a school unit in the Federal District. The results indicate that gamification provided greater integration of students and allowed an effective interaction in activities; thus intensifying the experience with the ludic, the productive learning, the collaborative participation; thus providing student protagonism.

This research aims to explore the audiovisual intensity of two scenes about torture found in the film Hitler IIIº Mundo by José Agripino de Paula, in order to understand the concept of virtualization in the perspective of Pierre Lévy. In this way, we seek to understand how the audiovisual aesthetics of the marginal cinema of the 1970s, more specifically the film by José Agrippino de Paula, is configured as a form of resistance against the Brazilian military dictatorship. Finally, it concludes that while the aesthetic experience of these scenes has the potential to change the perspective on the dictatorship, they can also transform the perception of torture itself and its different forms.

This document characterizes the economic thought of Joaquín Balaguer, who presided over the Dominican Government for 23 years, explicitly focusing on the period of formation of his economic ideas prior to 1966. We begin by describing some important political and economic events for the Dominican Republic at the beginning of the 20th century, which we understand marked Balaguer's political interest and economic thinking. We highlight the role played by the United States' intervention of 1916 in Balaguer's staunch position against external indebtedness and how Colbertism, or French Mercantilism, influenced a vision of public policies as a tool for economic development.

Based on several writings from 1962 to 1966 and compiled in Gerón (2014). In this regard, the author places Balaguer within the physiocrat's school of thought, whose actions also combine inclinations for economic liberalism with politically enlightened despotism. Thus, Balaguer's economic development model focuses on policies such as agricultural industrialization, fiscal conservatism, environmental protection, and cultural infrastructure investmen.
