Rescuing autonomy and social integration of people with autism is an extremely important effort that cuts across multiple health domains, with nurses having a fundamental role in this process. Objective: To analyze the perception of students about the problems faced by autistic people and their families in nursing care. Methods: This is descriptive exploratory research with a quali-quantitative approach, carried out at UNICEPLAC, whose sample consisted of 75 nursing students from the 8th, 9th and 10th semester, data collection was carried out through a questionnaire in February de 2023. Results: After analyzing the results, it was evidenced that 57% of the interviewees might be interested in assisting autistic people, 79% reported having already had contact, 47% have a known person with ASD, 31% think that lack of trained professionals is the greatest difficulty faced, 97% that it is important to address this issue during graduation. We had a tie (49%) in the moderate and challenging options regarding the nurse's difficulty; 29% believe that the importance of the nurse is the humanization of patient care, 75% answered that perhaps they would know how to identify an autistic person; about the autistic characteristics, a large part (30%) believes that it is the difficulty in social interactions. Final considerations: In this study, it was observed that nursing students had a reasonable understanding of autism. Given the prevalence and complexity of ASD, it is important to address ASD at graduation so that nursing students and future professionals have more confidence and knowledge to provide ethical care to this population.

Objective: to understand the importance of raising awareness of early diagnosis of childhood cancer for proper treatment. Methodology: This is a literature review carried out in national and international databases such as the National Health Library (BVS), the Nursing Database (BDENF), the Online Scientific Electronic Library (SCIELO). The articles chosen for this theoretical discussion and analysis of relevant topics had as inclusion criteria: articles of declared authorship in the period from 2016 to 2023, published in Portuguese, posted on the internet for free. The exclusion criteria were as follows: articles without declared authorship, journals published in foreign languages, in addition to paid publications and/or dated in periods prior to 2016. Results: after analyzing the articles, the following topics were found for discussion: epidemiology of childhood cancer in Brazil, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric CA and the role of health professionals in the face of early diagnosis of CA. Early identification of neoplasms is essential for successful care. There are advanced treatments, of which it can be noted that the treatment of childhood cancer depends on the specific type of cancer and its stage. Conclusion: awareness about childhood cancer is essential for nursing professionals and families to develop an adequate approach to the treatment and prevention of the disease. This awareness also helps to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with the disease.

Introduction: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common chronic complication of diabetes mellitus (MD) and can lead to vision loss and even blindness. Early prevention and treatment are essential to reduce the morbidity associated with DR. General objective: To carry out a detailed analysis of the main risk factors for DR in patients with diabetes, with the aim of providing relevant information to effectively prevent and treat the disease. Method: A study with a qualitative approach was conducted, using the research technique of literature review. Databases such as LILACS and SciELO were used to identify relevant publications on the subject of risk factors for DR. Articles published in Portuguese between 2019 and 2023, with specific keywords and clinical relevance criteria were selected. Results: Several studies addressed the risk factors for DR in patients with DM. Among the most relevant risk factors are the duration of diabetes, inadequate glycemic control, arterial hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, pregnancy and smoking. Furthermore, the presence of other diabetic complications, such as diabetic nephropathy, is also associated with a higher risk of developing DR. Discussion: DR is a serious and common complication of DM that can lead to vision loss and blindness. Therefore, managing risk factors is important to prevent the development of DR in patients with DM. Conclusion: Based on the bibliographic review, it is possible to promote discussions and develop effective intervention strategies so that health professionals can face the disease more adequately.

With the advance of the pandemic, many questions were raised about the safety of the most fragile population, including the elderly. The objective of this work is to identify the types of violence most practiced, the sex most affected and who most attacked, helping to contribute to the confrontation of this issue. The research was carried out through an integrative bibliographical review, synthesizing in an orderly and comprehensive way the results obtained here, using as inclusion criteria articles published from 2018 to 2023, in the databases Scientific Electronic Library Online - (SciELO), PubMed, Advanced Search Builder, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), Virtual Health Library (BVS) and ABEN (Brazilian Nursing Association), in Portuguese and English, involving studies or case reports. It was identified as results that psychological abuse was the type of violence most practiced against the elderly, followed by women as the most affected gender and children or family members in general with a potential risk of becoming aggressors. Therefore, it is concluded that the pandemic greatly affected the lives of the elderly and the means found to try to spread the spread of the virus contributed to the increase in cases of violence, generating immeasurable consequences that need to be analyzed and treated with responsibility and care.

Sharpe and Lintner's CAPM model has been widely used in predicting returns in stock markets, however, it suffers from many criticisms in relation to its applicability. In this study, we sought to study how the LCAPM model, studied by Minovic and Zivkovic (2014) in the Croatian stock market, behaved in the Brazilian stock market. For this, comparisons were made with the models of Fama and French (1993) and the CAPM (1964). The methodology used was descriptive statistics, in which nine portfolios were formed, as Fama and French (1993) used. To measure the expected return on portfolio i, multiple regressions in a time series were used, with the monthly returns of the portfolios constructed as the dependent variable, minus the risk-free rate, in this case the Selic, and as independent variables the premium for market risk, measured by beta, the size factor and the liquidity factor. The presented results demonstrated that according to the studies by Hearn, Piesse and Strange (2010) and Minovic and Zivkovic (2014), the LCAPM model presented a superior performance to the traditional CAPM and to the three-factor model of Fama and French (1993).

The concept of simple arithmetic mean is very used in people's daily lives, although it often comes with the understanding of its meaning. The objective of this study is to analyze the knowledge acquired about arithmetic mean by students of a Mathematics Degree course graduastes from public schools. This investigation has a qualitative approach with field research methodology and use of questionnaires, observation and activities on this object of study. The analysis of these instruments indicates that the research subjects understand the concept of average as a number obtained by some arithmetic operations; others, as a representative measure of a data set. Based on this research, it is possible to indicate that apprehending the arithmetic mean object requires understanding the meaning of its concepts and a deep view of its properties.
