Physiotherapy acts on neck pain, not only aiming at reducing the pain, but also at improving the dysfunctions caused by it, acting directly to improve the function of the neck region and, mainly, its functionality. For the treatment of neck pain, physical therapy has various resources such as electrotherapy, phototherapy, kinesiotherapy, manual resources and specific methods of postural realignment. This study addresses chiropractic as a therapeutic practice used for the treatment of neck pain. The research problem of this work is: what is the scientific evidence about chiropractic in the treatment of neck pain? The general objective of this study is to seek scientific evidence about chiropractic in the treatment of neck pain. The specific objectives are: to identify articles published from 2013 that show data about the effectiveness of chiropractic in the treatment of neck pain, to analyze the data found and the possibility of applying chiropractic in Primary Health Care. Studies published since January 2000 provide low to moderate quality evidence that various types of manipulation and/or mobilization reduce pain and improve function in chronic nonspecific neck pain compared with other interventions.

Spondias tuberosas have roots that allow storage of water, minerals and organic solutes, favoring their survival in drought. The objective was to evaluate the effect of sodium chloride on the growth of umbuzeiro seedlings in response to different salt concentrations, between the months of June/2020 and January/2021, in the municipality of Lagoa Seca (PB). A randomized block design with four repetitions and five salt concentrations was used. Every 10 days the relative growth rate in height was calculated and at 45 days the dry matter mass (root, stem and leaf) was evaluated. Analysis of covariance was performed considering initial height as a covariate, and regression analysis using the F test, with the software R, 4.0. There was a significant effect of salinity on the seedling growth variables, except for root dry matter mass. The height varied between 30.34 and 24.54 cm, with a linear decreasing effect of NaCl concentration. The relative growth rate in height was fitted to a linear regression model and a significant effect of salinity on the plants was evidenced, with a 97% growth reduction. The dry matter of leaves and stems followed the linear regression model, with a reduction of 89.1% and 58.2%, respectively. The dry matter mass of the stem also had a linear decrease of 1595.6 mg/muda (58.2%). Root dry matter averaged 713.23 mg/muda. The total dry matter mass had a linear decrease of 39% (2536 mg/seedling), ranging from 4157.29 mg/seedling (controls) to 1621.29 (for 200 mM). The height of seedlings and their relative growth rate decreased linearly as a function of NaCl concentration in the nutrient solution at 45 days. The increase of salinity reduced the accumulation of dry mass in the aerial part of the plants. The roots of umbuzeiro present adaptability to salt stress.

Understanding pain represents a challenge and a task of great importance in nursing work, especially when dealing with pre-verbal patients, as is the case with newborns (NB). In the context of preterm patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the ability to understand and interpret pain requires more specific expertise. This study aimed to address nursing care to preterm newborns in the NICU in the treatment of pain. The integrative review methodology was adopted with consultations to studies selected from the Scientific and Technical Literature of Latin America and the Caribbean (LILACS) and Database in Nursing (BDENF), all from the Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library - VHL, published, preferably between 2018 and 2023 and organized in the form of a PRISMA diagram. The results favored the understanding of the behavior adopted by nurses in dealing with neonatal pain, showing relative unpreparedness among many professionals. The gaps were identified mainly in initial and continuing academic training. In addition to these, another relevant factor identified was the culture in hospital units - the lack of attention due to the treatment of pain in neonates: even with knowledge of the proper conduct in the recognition, management and treatment of pain, it is common for some health units to neglect the correct conduct, sometimes, due to demand in other areas. It was concluded that, although adequate care for newborns in the ICU in pain management is of great relevance for their health.

Medicines play an important role in healthcare systems as they have the potential to save lives and improve health, however their indiscriminate use can lead to health problems. The COVID-19 pandemic favored a climate of fear, uncertainty and, above all, despair due to the lack of knowledge of the extent of infection by the new virus. This is a Literature Review study, carried out from free digital databases and guided by the objective of identifying the risks of self-medication concomitant with the COVID-19 pandemic and understanding the role of the pharmaceutical professional in this pandemic scenario. The study showed that the potential problems related to the demand and commercial promotion of medicines in pandemic times must be faced with ethics and professionalism. The pandemic has had a major impact on the daily lives of the world's population and the search for preventive medication has grown worldwide. The pharmacist must assume a leading role in guiding consumers about the risks and dangers of self-medication, which must be rational and conscious, which is one of the great challenges in the recent pandemic scenario.

This study aimed to analyze the scientific production that deals with Circular Economy Business Models (CEBM) published from 2018 to 2022. The analysis aims to describe the configurations of CEBM present in case studies published in this period. The research question is “How are the CEBMs present in case studies published in the last five years (2018-2022) configured?”. To answer the research question, a Systemic Literature Review (SLR) was carried out using the Methodi Ordinatio. From keywords, strings were defined (business model, circular economy, Circular Business Models, circular economy), searches were carried out in Google Scholar, SciELO and Web of Science databases. The initial search identified 267 publications, from which the ten most relevant that contributed with 21 cases on CEBM were selected. The analyzed cases described how circular businesses are configured, presenting information about the location of the business, market sector, typology, maturity level and values. The cases highlight the business contributions to sustainability, whether related to the environmental, economic and/or social pillars. This research theoretically contributes to the literature on CEBM, promotes guidance to companies by indicating possibilities for applying Circular Economy principles in their businesses, pedagogically helps students to understand them.

Medications are relevant for playing an important role in healthcare by serving as a means of prevention and treatment of diseases. Pharmaceutical assistance has been added and modified in recent years with the introduction of SUS management. The objective was to describe the new challenges for pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical assistance in the SUS. The methodology used was a literature review in the databases of the Virtual Health Library, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). The results showed that the implementation of the Unified Health System provided space for new debates and reflections on the health policy implemented in Brazil. We concluded in this study that the distribution of medications and the guidance on the rational use of drugs distributed by SUS require professionalism, ethics, and social control from all involved in the process.

The basic objective of this article is to apprehend the meanings of university students with disabilities regarding the process of inclusion/exclusion in higher education. To achieve this, we seek support from the assumptions of Socio-Historical Psychology, which, based on Historical and Dialectical Materialism, guide us to understand the human as an active subject that is constituted in the relationship with the material and social world. Data were produced during thirteen meetings with a group of ten university students with disabilities enrolled in a public university in northeastern Brazil. For the analyses, we used the Meaning Cores. The results show that university students with disabilities experience situations of invisibility, exclusion and silencing, aspects that interfere with their permanence in higher education.
