Resumen
Observations are made on the egg pods of 14 species of grashoppers. The entire egg pods and their parts were measured, described and figured. Data on average number of eggs per pod, length and width of the eggs of the different species are also added. In several cases, data on the type of diapause are given. Some conclusions related to the families ACRIDIDAE (Gomphocerinae and Melanoplinae, and ROMALEIDAE (Romaleinae), are also drawn out.

Resumen
Zoogeogrphy of the Latin American Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera). With about 60,000 species, of witch some 20,000 inhabit Latin America, Ichneumonidae is the largest family in the Animal Kingdom. Ichneumonidas parasitize principally the inmature stages of other holometabolic insects, in particular Lepidoptera, and most species can use a wide range of hosts, wich they select by micro-habitat and size rather than according to taxonomic position (species, genus, family or even order). Ichneumonids also are good fliers and even tropical species may tolerate surprisingly low temperatures. All these factors encourage their dispersal. On the other hand, ichneumonid wasps need a humid environment and keep mainly to forests, so that deserts, high mountains, and large expanses of water severely limit them.

Resumen
Congruence between traditional systematics and phenograms based on morphometry.A key of the Argentinian species of the genus Philodryas shows about the same relationships as two head phenograms (especially WPGMA), exclusively based on morphometric data from the head (23 characters). The key contains, however, many morphometric ratios; but the point is that even without them, it would have exactly the same structure.

Resumen
In this paper a review is given of the systhematic position of the taxon from 1851 to the present and the reasons to consider it as a well defined genus. The two species: P. carinulata (Spinola) and P. paranensis Bertoni are redescribed, including a key to separate them.
