Resumen
Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and impulsivity (ADHD) is a common conduct disorder. The aim of this study was to implement a simple intervention to treat ADHD. One group of children with pre- and post-intervention was used. The TIMCO intervention is based on the senses of sight, touch, and hearing, as well as on higher cognitive functions such as logical reasoning and memory, to treat ADHD. Forty-six children from 6 to 12 years old were taken from all social strata in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The incidence of ADHD was higher in boys. TIMCO diminished ADHD in the same way for both boys and girls, reducing the global average of ADHD by 19%. The simplicity of this intervention allows its use by teachers and parents from rural areas or where no specialized centers exist for the attention of ADHD.

Resumen
This study aimed to evaluate the productive behavior and metabolic profile of 64 steers (initial weight 364 kg ± 5.9 kg) fed with four experimental diets (16 animals per treatment) with the inclusion of crude glycerin (CG) as a replacement of corn grain. Diets contained 0%, 5%, 15%, and 25% of CG, and steers were fed during 90 days in a completely randomized design. Steers were weighed every 30 days. Blood samples from each steer were taken before the morning feed by puncturing in the coccygeal vein to evaluate serum metabolites. The addition of CG did not affect the variables of productive behavior (p > 0.05). The interaction level of CG per sampling month was significant for glucose (p < 0.05); however, the inclusion of CG did not affect the urea and triglycerides concentrations (p > 0.05). The inclusion of crude glycerin to ruminants’ diets is an energetic alternative when there is low corn grains availability.

Resumen
The genetic variability in Agave tequilana is limited due to the clonal way of field reproduction. In the present work, mutations were induced in micropropagated Agave tequilana plants in vitro by means of indirect embryogenesis using ionizing radiation with gamma Co60 rays at doses of 10 Gy, 15 Gy, 20 Gy, and 25 Gy; the regenerated plantlets were treated again at 10 Gy and 20 Gy to obtain simple and double irradiated clonal populations. Genetic variability of the irradiated populations was evidenced by Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) markers by grouping them in accordance to their radiation dose. Single and double mutants at 20 Gy significantly increased the fructose and sucrose content in stem, regarding control without irradiation, and the synthesis of fructooligosaccharides with a degree polymerization of 3, 4, 5 increased, suggesting induction of genes 1-SST and 1-FFT in the variants of Agave tequilana.

Resumen
To understand climate change, climate variability should be studied. Climate variability focuses on denoting those weather behaviors that are considered out of the ordinary and their relationship with the planet’s natural variation, such as El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) phenomena. The objective of this research was to know the climatic variability of a fragment of the coastal plain of the state of Nayarit, Mexico, a predominant area of mangrove cover, lagoons, and agricultural use. The investigation is presented in three parts: climatic characterization, variability analysis (annual, monthly, and interdecadal), and its teleconnection with ENSO and PDO indices. The interdecadal variation showed an increase in the minimum temperature, a decrease in the maximum temperature, and a decrease in the precipitation in the last two decades. A 30% correlation was found with ENSO (the highest correlations in the summer months) and 25% with PDO.

Resumen
Urban growth has generated significant pressure on the green areas that make up the landscape of cities and threatens the green infrastructure's ecosystem services of the city. This study aimed to estimate the economic value of ecosystem services (ES) offered by the Metropolitan Park of Guadalajara (MPG) through the contingent valuation method. Users recognize cultural services as the most important ES, followed by those of regulation and support. Likewise, a high percentage of users (98%) say they are willing to pay ($38.60) to keep the benefits provided by the park, and 90% are determined to demand compensation for the possibility of being denied access to them. It is necessary to make people and decision-makers aware of the importance of the ES provided by parks to ensure proper management.

Resumen
Production of heavy and extra-heavy crude oils generally entails high costs, especially in the winter season, due to heat losses. This work studies the effect of a flow enhancer (a chemical formulation based on biodiesel and oxidized biodiesel of soy oil) on the viscosity of heavy crude oil from different wells in Northern Mexico. The observed results indicate a non-linear decreasing behavior of viscosity concerning temperature and volume fraction of the viscosity reducer. It is also presented a theoretical model that predicts the flow increase that can be achieved using the enhancer in systems in which crude oil temperature is higher than the temperature of the environment. Results showed adequate correspondence between experimental and predicted data. It was found that the enhancer increases the volume of crude oil that can be processed without varying pressure gradient.

Resumen
The objective of this paper is to examine whether there are significant differences in the intentions of continuity of micro businesses headed by women or men and to analyze how the sex of the owner affects the impact of microbusinesses’ characteristics on their continuity in Mexico. In order to do this, hierarchical modeling was used with information from the National Survey on Microbusinesses (Enamin, from its Spanish acronym) 2012, collected by the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI, from its Spanish acronym). Results indicate that sex has an effect only on the impact of the variables: schooling, having the microbusiness to exercise their career, the number of employees, and whether the owner would change her or his job if they had a similar income and access to social security.

Resumen
This scientific article is a piece of evidence of the use of the computer aided engineering (CAD-CAE) validating a real mechanical process for a destructive test on fiberglass, rivets, and adhesives. The CAD-CAE simulated test tubes that had been used for manufacture processes of buses. First, the real test tubes must satisfy the ASTM D3039 and ASTM D5766 standards. Therefore, the objective of the CAD-CAE analysis was to simulate the destructive test with the least possible error to comply with the requirements of the ASTM standards. Experimental tests showed that the properties in the mixed joint meet the requirements of mechanical and deformation properties. The mechanical tests showed that the specimens do not fail because of the materials but because of the stress concentrator of the rivet. Finally, the models were developed by the CAD-CAE, analyzing the failure zone and keeping the characteristics of the tested joints. The results of the CAD-CAE analysis reproduced the conditions against the experimental model satisfactorily, achieving a maximum permissible error of 3%.

Resumen
Information and communication technologies (ICT) are an opportunity for innovation and improvement for health systems. The different applications of ICT in the health field have been associated with the term electronic health (e-Health) or digital health and have shown to be cost-effective and promote health systems performance. Taking as a guide the conceptual framework of the basic functions of health systems (stewardship/governance, financing, resource generation, and service provision), an analysis of progress and opportunities of e-Health in the national system of Mexico was carried out. This analysis was based on a literature narrative review and semi-structured interviews, principally. The study identifies important advances in e-Health in Mexico; however, there are still many issues to be faced, such as policy strengthening as well as access and implementation improvement.

Resumen
Innovation oriented towards a sustainable economy has not yet achieved the desired effects. Given this concern, within social sciences, the Multilevel Perspective (MLP) studies upon the challenges that disruptive innovations face in transforming consolidated markets. Despite its global approach, the model has been criticized for its insufficient conceptual articulation at the micro dimension. In response to this criticism, the objective of this paper is to identify the first technological niches of bioplastics in order to study the alliances between agents who intended to penetrate the market, as well as the contextual elements that facilitated them. Through bibliographic and patent research, pioneer inventors, companies, brands, applications, and those external circumstances that either hindered or facilitated the development of niches were identified. New applications are pointed out. Findings revealed ex-postfeedback between niches of different societal functions, which led to propose the concept technological latency between niches.
