In the theoretical place of philology, considering its interactive disciplinary practice with other knowledges, based on the acts of construction and interpretation of the Nivalda's Costa Collection and the documentswhich compose it, we propose a critical reading about the performance of this black intellectual in relation to the history and memory of the black resistance in Bahia.

Eloy Anthero Dias, Mano Eloy, was a pioneer of samba and samba schools in Rio de Janeiro. The study of episodes of his relationship with carnival associations, is a way to expand and understand the multiplicities of black experiences in the agency of their daily contingencies, in view of the social panorama that has been revealed, in the post-abolition.

The article addresses the making of the first specific spaces for black women's political acting in the 1980s. This decade is known as a period in which “new subjects” arise in Brazilian politics. The article aims to establish the core elements of the movement and its initial phase. The research will analyze political strategies and the formation of an identity (or consciousness) of a specific political subject.

Margareth Rago é historiadora, formada pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP), com mestrado e doutorado pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp). Professora livre-docente do Departamento de História da Unicamp, aposentou-se em 2015 e vinculou-se ao mesmo departamento como professora colaboradora.
A partir de convite da Acervo, a entrevista foi realizada por Anadir Miranda, doutora em História pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) e pesquisadora do Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero dessa instituição.

This article considers the trajectory of Islamic feminism over its first two decades, when it moves from the national level to a global discourse and transnational/national collective activism. It sees some achievementsin the arena of legal reform as in the lifting of restrictions on women's access to certain professions in Muslim countries.

Resumen
The article examines the conformation of Brazilian archival terminology between the years 1972 and 2005 analyzing, especially, the process of elaborating the Dicionário de terminologia arquivística, by Camargo and Bellotto (1996), and the Dicionário brasileiro de terminologia arquivística (Dibrate), by Arquivo Nacional (2005). It is observed that both were fundamental to the structuring of Brazilian archival terminology, but they need efforts aimed at constant updating.

It reports Boullier de Branche’s technical-scientific mission, received by José Honório Rodrigues at the Arquivo Nacional. Through a bibliographic and documentary research, it presents the contributions from both to the Brazilian archives and archival science. Their actions consolidate the archival cooperation between France and Brazil in the formation of archivists and in the institutionalization of the discipline.

The article discusses the performance of the Museu e Arquivo Histórico Julio de Castilhos in the formation of a collection of documents referring to the farroupilha civil war, in the context of the centenary celebrations of this event. The analysis seeks to problematize the work of gathering and electing these records, showing which were the actors and the interests that influenced this process.

The article covers the development of institutionalization of personal archives in the Brazilian archival scenario by means of the analysis of processes from three custodial institutions: IEB, Cpdoc and Mast. Administrative processes of collection incorporation were analyzed from the date of their foundations until 1999, with the aim of capturing the method of the selection practiced by the institutions before their collection policies were published.

The article follows the formation and consolidation processes of the Centro de Memória − Unicamp, an institution created in 1985 with the main objective of promoting the preservation of documentary memory in the city of Campinas, São Paulo. The purpose is to understand the intellectual path of constitution of the collection and the institutional arrangement processes within the debates to safeguard local and regional history.
