The objective of the work was to evaluate Bacillus thuringiensis var. Kurstaki (Bt-K), as an alternative for biological control of potato moths Phthorimaea operculella and Tecia solanivora, in storage in Cerro Punta, Chiriqui, Republic of Panama. For this, five batches of potatoes were selected, subjected to different application dose of the product Dipel 6.4WG (Bt-K). A Random Complete Block Design was used, with five treatments and four repetitions. A regression analysis was also performed, depending on the dose of the product and the percentage of final damage. The batches were stored for 100 days, at controlled temperature and humidity. The treatments consisted of doses of Dipel 6.4WG from 50 g to 90 g, divided into three to five applications. As results, no significant differences were found between the treatments, keeping the damage below the permissible threshold. The regression analysis allowed estimating that, without treatment, the final damage in the tubers would have been 9.36% (R2 = 0.95), which exceeds the permissible damage threshold of 7%. In conclusion, the 50 g dose of Dipel 6.4WG divided into three applications, is sufficient to maintain the damage caused by potato moths in storage below the permissible threshold. It is recommended to repeat the experiment with lower concentrations of product and include an absolute control. The use of Bt-K should also be evaluated in warehouses used by farmers.

The research deals with the application of vinasse, which is a by-product in the production of sugar and ethanol from sugarcane juice. The main objective was to determine what dose of vinasse controls the earthworm (Agrotis ipsilon) in the radish crop. The experiment was carried out at the Los Anitos Farm and the Completely Random Block Design was used, which consisted of three blocks and five treatments T1 = 0, T2 = 8, T3 = 16, T4 = 24,T5 = 32 ml / 1;6m2.It is worth mentioning that the dose was 8 ml of vinasse / 24ml of water / 1;6 m2 / week and was applied until the fourth week. The field and laboratory evaluations were carried out and the experimental data was obtained which was then processed with the analysis of variance and the Duncan test at 5 % error. The results determined that T5 stands out in a lower percentage of damage with 24;11 % of affected plants, plant length with 24;28 cm, commercial yield with 7;59tn / ha,weight per plant 37;71 g,weight of bulb 17;86 g and equatorial diameter with 3;02 cm. .

Corn is a cereal with high potential for grain production and is highly sensitive to water deffcit and nitrogen; these two factors are the main limitations of the corn producers of the Community of Vista Alegre in San Marcos-Ancash. In this sense, the objective of this research was to evaluate the yield of starchy maize in irrigated and rainfed situations with two levels of nitrogen. To do this, the study was carried out in Complete Random Block Design (DBCA) with a factorial arrangement of 2x2 in 3 repetitions. Irrigation was applied during the Critical Period (PC) between two weeks before and after flowering; and the doses of 150 and 300 kg/ha of N were supplied in the phenological stages ofV3 andV6. Thus, obtaining the best yield of starchy corn of 6; 036 tn/ha with irrigation and a dose of 300 kg/ha of N, followed by 4,397 tn/ha for the same dry-season dose. With the 150 kg/ha of N fertilization, the yields of 3; 285 and 2; 975 tn/ha in the irrigation and rainfed modalities did not express significant difference according to the Tukey test. The residual CV was 5; 228 % and the R2 97 %. Therefore, the interaction between irrigation in the PC and the fractional fertilization of 300 kg/ha ofNin stages V3 and V6 increases the yield of starchy corn.

Writer Roald Dahl is responsiblefor some of the most imaginative stories thatuniversal literature has given us in the 20thcentury. These stories, their characters, andan inimitable style, have created a unique universethat is part of a cultural heritage whichis transmitted from generation to generation. This universe remains in the unconscious ofthe community in the whole world. The reference, direct or indirect, to the worldof music, is one of the resources that the authoruses recurrently and intentionally withdifferent purposes: as a metaphor for socialcriticism, as a resource for dramatization, forpsychological characterization of the character, etc. He does it, moreover, with an in-depthknowledge of the resources that this mediumoffers to literary expression, and of the theoreticalsubstrates of the musical art itself. The present work represents an approximationto the role played by the universe ofsounds in Dahl’s work; from the references inhis work, the creation of operas or musicalsbased on his stories, or the use and identificationsof his compositions as a teaching resourcein training and promoting reading in theearliest stages of education.

In recent years, studies about teachers’reading practices have emerged, based onthe assumption that future reading mediationis related to their own trajectory in this field. In this context, a qualitative research was developedthat analyzes 279 reading autobiographieswritten by eight generations of Chileanpedagogy students, throughout the last decade. This exploratory and diachronic studyworked with the “life stories” technique tocollect information about the personal trajectoriesand forms of reading appropriation. Thedata was addressed by means of mixed analysis(statistical and of content) that establishedstructural categories and subcategories relatedto the reading experiences in pre-school,primary, secondary and university education;the moments and places where the readingtakes place; the mediators role and the valueattributed to literature. The main results highlightthe centrality of shared reading, the familymembers acting as mediators and the limitedparticipation of the school and the library inthis task. The reason would lay in the compulsorynature of reading in the school context, taking it away from pleasure and aesthetic enjoyment.

The youth publishing field is one ofthe fastest growing in sales and publicationsin the world, and also in Argentina in the lastyears. Parallel to this phenomenon, technologicaladvances have modified reading and writingpractices, especially among young people:Platforms dedicated to literature, huge virtualcommunities of readers and new mediators ofreading on networks, such as BBB (bloggers, booktubers and bookstagrammers), make upthis novel map. The sector has perceived thesenew experiences by incorporating strategiesto capitalize on them. This paper proposes anapproach to this editorial configuration thatemerges in the youth sector with emphasison new actors and promotional actions. Thestatements in this article are based on a qualitativemethodological approach, from an analysisof fieldwork at events such as book fairs,as well as in-depth interviews with membersof the BBB community, references in the youthpublishing sector and young readers who consumeboth: books and BBB.

The relevance of the Early ChildhoodEducation stage in children’s scholasticdevelopment is undoubtable; however, in thedaily routine of the students some innovationis demanded. Therefore, within the presentwork we have strengthened the associationbetween play and work in the classroom.Reading and methodology by corners are twoeducational references of this period. For allthis, the main objective of this work has beento develop an innovative proposal encouragingreading, while designing an innovative methodologyfocused on the corners. The methodologyfor corners is one of the star strategiesof Early Childhood Education, for this reason, and combining both aspects (corners and encouragementof reading), our didactic proposalis based on the design of a super corner onreading encouragement where we go throughdifferent traditional stories along with playfulactivities to create interest and reading curiosityin the students. The innovative elementlies in the creation of a mega-corner, divided inturn into four sub-corners, in which the contentsof the developed didactic approach havebeen carried out.

Literature together with cinema, theater, documentary, and music, is auseful instrument for teaching and learning– both guided and autonomous – of aforeign language. In this paper we presenta didactic proposal addressed to studentsof Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) oflevel C1 of the Common European Frameworkof Reference for Languages (CEFR).Didactic intervention starts from the exploitationof some fragments of El CaballoRojo, a novel published by Concha Alós in1966. Likewise, this work is part of the recoveryof texts forgotten by the canon andthe vindication of an author absent fromthe History of recent Spanish Literature. Inthis way, the first part of the article reflectson the limitations of the literary corpus inrelation to what is called literature writtenby women. In the second part, a didacticintervention for a SFL classroom will be articulatedand developed.
