Resumen
An epic journey blended the history of ancient Mazagão, a Portuguese colony in Morocco, now Al Jadida. In 1769 the inhabitants were forcibly moved to the Amazon to refound the city which today is called Mazagão Velho.Through the reconstruction of the historical deportation and the subsequent formation of the current community, it is possible to analyze the process of reinvention of the colonial past and the shaping of its cultural memory. The recent emergence of traditions and artistic productions - such as represented by the documentary "Mazagão - A porta do mar" - refers to a specific affirmation of identity, inventing a cultural genealogy of the community.

Resumen
This article proposes an analysis of the novel Biografia do Língua (2015), by the Cape Verdean writer Mário Lúcio Sousa, traced on a double axis. The first axis deals with reflecting the narrative strategy of a condemned to death who, when he narrates, suspends the time by modeling language and history. The second, outlining literary images mobilized by the narrative, designing the layout of a cultural imaginary that recovers the memory of the movements of Portuguese colonialism.

Resumen
This article addresses the role of women in during the colonial/liberation war in Mozambique, exposing actions and political agents that have been actively produced as non-existent by dominant historical approaches. Combining excerpts from interviews with the analysis of the power of photographs, the article debates, as deep as possible, and with the cautions measures associated with unveiling various feelings (revolt, hate, envy, discouragement and love), fragments of the experiences lived by women who knew war in the first person. These memories, of ordinary women, contribute to subvert absences, transforming them into active subjects of history.

Resumen
A lot of African potentates were exiled during the “Scramble for Africa”. Since then, some images continued to circulate through different social contexts and have gained new meanings in the last years. The analysis of some photographs of Ranavalona III leads to a new interpretation of his life in exile, when the vacation in France allowed him to invent himself. The portraits of the last queen of Madagascar in exile constitute the iconographic corpus of this article that problematizes the use of photographs on social networks in connection with a Malagasy “post-memory”.

Based on visual works by Ângela Ferreira, Luc Tuymans, Zined Sedira and literary works by Joaquim Arena, Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida and Yara Monteiro, the forms and modes of the stories told in the European house are discussed after the return of the old empires and ghosts.

Resumen
The aim of this paper is to explore biographies of huacos unearthed by huaqueros through the huaquería ritual, practiced in the Northern Andes of Peru. An analytical process of ritual, comercial and museum biographical reconstruction will be applied in order to investigate three aspects of these objects. First, the role of huacos inside the communities in which they circulate; second, the thought system activated by these objects in their interactions with people from these communities.

Resumen
The article is a reflection on the relationship between images and the evocation processes. In particular, the analysis of the artistic production of colonial post-memory questions the gaps of the Portuguese past in Africa and its official representations. It focuses on a selection of feature films and short films as an expression of the relationship between memory transmission of trauma and the possibility of its representation, starting from the will to re-imagine the past in the present.
