Resumen
Emotional intelligence and problem solving are of great importance for social work, as this is largely an emotionally demanding and stressful profession as well as an applied scientific field of psychosocial problem solving. The aim of this research was to investigate the emotional intelligence of social work students in relation to their demographics and study-related characteristics, and their problem-solving skills. The sample included 368 students from the bachelor’s degree programme of the Department of Social Work of the University of West Attica in Athens, Greece. The students completed both the Problem Solving Inventory (PSI) and Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS). The results show a strong correlation between emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills and suggest that emotional intelligence plays a very important role in decision making, action taking and good performance in social work. Implications for additional research and education of bachelor level social work students are discussed.

Resumen
After the socio-political advances in favor of gender equality, there are still men and women performing different roles, conditioned by patriarchal values in Spain. Such circumstances spread all areas of society, including the educational context. This article shows the results of a research about the historical evolution of the teaching practice of four generations of women from 1958 to 2018 in Extremadura. Both gender and generational perspectives were the focal points of this retrospective analysis based on the biographies of five women teachers, throughout sixty years of changes in Extremadura society. As a space-time research strategy, it is approached from the conception of the generational trace, which deepens in the processes of knowledge, skills and attitudes transfer between the different generations of teachers in the Extremadura school organizations, materialized in teaching activity.

Resumen
The influence of the sense of community on biopsychosocial adaptation of Latin Americans living in the city of Malaga, Spain, was analyzed. The sample consisted of 34 people of Latin American origin and two measurement were carried out in an interval of 18 months. An approximate longitudinal prospective comparative study was developed. The relationships between the variables were compared according to the length of time of residence in Malaga (less/more than one year) and the effect of the passage of time. The results showed that the dimensions of sense of community were consistently related to the biopsychosocial adaptation variables analyzed in this study and a positive change was observed in the adaptation variables for both groups. Implications for practice and training of social workers and public policies improvements are considered, revealing the potential of Community Social Work in this area.

Resumen
Social policy manages to revalue certain actors in certain socio-historical contexts. In Argentina, during the Alianza Cambiemos, the role of local governments in the implementation of national social programs has been displaced, and that of civil society organizations has been strengthened. In this framework, we analyze the local implementation regime of AT - PRIST from the Asociación Civil Identidad Vecinal. In this sense, we provide a contribution to the studies of the implementation of programs at the local level from social organizations and we construct analytical categories
