Resumen
This article reflects on the production of videogames aimed at participating in the local public scene, proposing from the digital play experience other ways of creating meaning(s). It focuses on the study of two independent groups based in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, whose projects involve the development of videogames as means of expression for social and political criticism. On the one hand, the work investigates the conditions and form of production; on the other hand, it describes its aesthetic characteristics and conceptual definitions. To this end, in-depth interviews with developers were conducted, as well as participant observation both online and at events.

Resumen
It is proposed to reflect on artistic and design practices as cultural identity representations of the community from which they emerge. This theme leads to problematizing the dominant modernist discourse, which gave the representations of “the Latin American” characteristics that have remained encased in the magical, surreal or fantastic rejecting those manifestations that, from their diverse and differential expressions with the European canons In its modern conception. The production and aesthetic creation of culture in our territory provides valuable inputs for the people to recognize themselves in their identity, consolidate their memory and contribute their sensitive intelligence to questions about who we are Latin Americans in this millenary transition, what is our place in the world and how we will continue to face the vertiginous globalization, increasingly accelerated by telematics, cybernetics and computer science.

Resumen
Organized by the NGO Argentina Debate, the first Argentinian presidential debate was held on October the 4th, 2015. The incumbent, Daniel Scioli, had announced he would skip this debate the week before: an unexpected resolution. An empty chair was left where his place would have been. Exactly three years later, on October the 4th, 2018, the last debate prior to the first round of Brazil’s presidential elections was held, part of an already well-established tradition. Using his heath as an excuse, candidate Jair Bolsonaro skipped this televised meeting. The object of this article consists of this two “missings”. Its point of departure is that not going to a presidential debate is a costly decision for a presidential candidate. The article first explores hypothesis that can explain the decision to skip the debate in terms of its tactical implications. Second, the article turns to observe the absence as a cause, examining its discursive effects. The analysis is situated on two levels: strategic and discursive. The conclusions hang upon this twofold analysis, while taking advantage of a comparative approach.

Resumen
Gastronomy is “the culinary art”, where beyond the ingredients, techniques and methods of their recipes they bring with them the historical evolution and its cultural meaning of the region where the flavors, colors, ingredients, are something like the bond of being human with his diet. In Mexican culture is where we find a great variety of regional dishes that have been maintained over time, recipes from the pre-Hispanic era that are still in the town of Mexico, obviously with the passage of time modified, due to a lack of registration, but that does not mean that it loses its great cultural value, because on a global level we can hear about it. Imagine the scope of a food dish in its maximum digital graphic representation where through color, typography, shapes and photography and composition can be taken to different sites through the Internet, where thousands of people from all over the world world that surf the web, cross borders discovering the gastronomy of a region, taking with it not only the visual impact of the piece of design but showing the cultural richness of Mexico.

Resumen
This article addresses the relation between edition and politics from the study of the production, circulation and reception of authors and books circumscribed to the right-wing ideology. Recently, the authors Nicolás Márquez and Agustín Laje, published by the right-wing Unión Editorial, have acquired an unusual visibility, reflected in the circulation and selling of their books and the massiveness of their events and presentations. We hold that the communication circuit that produces and reproduces their discourses place the book an object that, as it spreads, allows the authors to become intellectual, cultural and political leaders with “authority” and creates readers communities. They buy, read and use them as a way to ensure their beliefs, feeling and political opinions. From interviews and public monitoring of these authors we explore the forms of sociability and political subjectivation that these authors and their books enable in a space where rightwing ideas circulate in Argentine today.

Resumen
Politics involve all senses: we listen to political speeches, we participate in political rituals, we attend demonstrations and protests, we follow politicians’ Twitter, Facebook or Instagram accounts. Political forces deploy imaginal worlds filled with symbols, images and rituals, that invite us to follow their projects, their ideas, their values. In this article we try to understand the ethical world of the Front of Everyone [Frente de Todos] during the presidential elections of 2019. In order to do so, we take into consideration the imaginary logics deployed by Kirchnerism since its arrival to the Pink House in 2003. A hypothesis guides this text: the imaginary world of the current administration represents a mutation from the former Kirchnerist experiences. The reason for said mutation is the recovery of memories associated with democratic culture and governmental capacity, memories of values and experiences that the force itself had originally encouraged and then progressively left aside.

Resumen
The article aims to study the different visual resources that are used in a corpus constituted by the front pages of Noticias magazine, establishing a comparative analysis from a gender perspective between front pages dedicated to the figure of Cristina Fernández and those dedicated to Mauricio Macri during their respective administrations. The results of this analysis show that, even when the visual treatment is, in principle, similar and it’s also possible to observe the repetition of resources for the two political figures representation, from the perspective of the constructed meanings it is evident the establishment of a differentiated lecture pact for each one. These differences can be understood by observing the reproduction of a repertory of gender stereotypes for each case.

Resumen
The present article will address the design of the visual discourse of the photographs published in the book Mujer indígena en la ciudad made by the Documentation and Information Center of Bolivia. The objective is to analyze the discourse on indigenous women and their role in the city; that is, how society has designed a visual discourse that represents the identity of the indigenous woman with colonial characteristics. It is, then, through these photographs that one can understand the rooting of the imaginary and the colonial vision in societies that have been conquered and that keep in their gaze the ways of identifying and defining the other.
