The objective of this work is to analyze the incidence of the type of cancer and its main manifestations in the terminal stage through data mining. We analyzed 288 data from 22 patients, provided by the Palliative Care Unit of the Hospital Regional 1 de Octubre. The evaluated variables were gender, year, age, diagnosis and symptom. The algorithm J48 corresponding to the algorithm C4.5 was used for the classification. The highest incidence of mortality according to the type of cancer is highlighted: lung, colon, rectum, breast and prostate. As for pain, it is higher in young patients, while in patients aged 65 or less, 39% and only 23% of the rest.

Low-cost antennas and receivers were evaluated in embedded systems altogether with a geodetic single-frequency receiver for measure a geodetic baseline; employing this equipment with a continuous reference station of the Red Geodésica Nacional Activa; located in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. The aim of this study was determinate the precision of the low-cost receivers employed, evaluating coordinates and distances obtained by applying the differential GPS method with academic and commercial software. Was found millimeter variances between the positioning of a geodetic receiver and the low-cost receivers for a geodetic baseline of 5.1 kilometers, doing possibly the implementation in geodetic or topographic applications.

The interaction of soliton solutions of the Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation is studied based on the adiabatic approach for the system parameters. The dynamics of two solitons with gain and loss in amplification is analyzed. If the perturbation is not present, the in-phase soliton interaction is attractive and forms a bound state. While the solitons are in phase with gain in amplification, their amplitudes increase; but the period of oscillation of the bound state and the relative distance between the solitons decrease. For the case of loss in amplification, the amplitude decreases and the solitons begin to repel, consequently, the period of oscillations and the relative distance between solitons increase.

This paper identifies factors that influence the decisions to take credits from formal and from informal sources in Mexico. Employing data from the Mexican National Survey of Financial Inclusion, the econometric results reveal a set of factors that have a positive effect on the choices of formal credit, but negative in the choice of informal sources (income, education, marital status, gender, and access to insurance), another set that statistically explains only the choice of formal sources (ownership of collateral, size of the household, financial savings, and ownership of cellphones), and a variable that only influences the use of informal sources (age). The study helps to improve our understanding of why participation in the formal sector in Mexico remains low relative to its informal counterpart.

A pedestrian detector is provided with the algorithm models of active shape (ASM), with the stages: training (PDM) and adjustment (ASM). With PDM, 50 landmarks are marked, and gray profiles are extracted in the silhouette of each pedestrian in 137 images (pedestrian1 and pedestrian2) applying the variation modes (PCA). The contribution of this work is the adjustment and detection of a pedestrian despite the variations. At the end, the results evaluated with leave one out in each 1 080 × 720 pixels image and with the mean square error (MSE) metric, a total average of 12.7 pixels is obtained in the error distance between the original landmarks and the estimated landmarks.

The aim of this work is to study the relationship between socioemotional dimensions and decision making process in family business, associated with the profile´s configuration of decision makers. Following the socioemotional wealth theory and family business archetypes. Based on multiple case study, the findings reveal that exists a differentiated relationship between socioemotional dimensions and decision making, depending on generation number and family archetype, because their primary frame of reference is a desire to preserve and enhance the family’s socioemotional wealth. The autors propose three profiles of decision makers: SEW-Dependet, SEW-Flexible and SEW-Independent, where the SEW-Flexible is the most suitable for continuity and preservation of socioemotional wealth.

The objective was to analyze the factors of innovation and their impact on the development of family agricultural production units (FAPU) of corn, beans and tomatoes crops in marginalized localities of Ejutla de Crespo in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca. The innovation was analyzed with a mixed non-experimental methodological process, using stratified-random sampling, by means of the questionnaire (n = 86) applied in 2017 and analyzed by means of goodness-of-fit tests χ2 (α = 0.05). The approach is systemic and evolutionary, with neochumpeterian theories. The results show the different innovation types, and how they are related to the crop and are independent of the locality. Nine out of ten factors influence some type of innovation. There is a better interaction of factors to innovate in the FAPU where the main crop is tomato in greenhouse.

The micro-credit implies the granting of small loans in the hope of achieving the development of business units through financial institutions in the peripheral Peruvian population. In this context, the objective of the article is to determine the relationship between micro-credit and the development of micro-enterprises in rural areas. 278 women micro-entrepreneurs were interviewed, the data collection instrument was subjected to a validity by expert judgments with a coefficient of agreement of 97% and Cronbach’s internal alpha consistency of 0.90. The results obtained show that the super woman’s micro-credit has a direct and significant relationship with the development of micro-enterprises in rural areas according to the Spearman’s Correlation coefficient (rho 0.84, Sig. 0.000*).

Recent findings show that global warming can cause extinction and change in the spatial distribution of various reptile species. It has been proposed, that in response, lacertiles could migrate in an altitudinal gradient, but hypoxia (oxygen shortage) is not considered as a factor that could limit migration. Here we discuss the possible adjustments in certain morpho-physiological characteristics that could allow ectotherms to migrate over an altitudinal gradient even with the negative effects of hypoxia. With this we can begin to study in depth the vulnerability of ectotherms to global warming that depends not only on their thermal biology, but also on their physiology.

The article aims to do an interpretative approach of the knowledge neo-co-management in the digital society, letting know the current dynamics of knowledge in the lives of some subjects immersed in a technological-based social model. In relation to the method, it is targeted as a documentary type descriptive study. Additionally, it is essential to mention that during the article development there are findings that show the emergence of a new co-management of knowledge and allow to conclude that in it, collaborative networks are integrated among the different actors (nodes) of society, who through technologies of information and communication, appropriates of knowledge and displace it into the collective as a common well.
