Resumen
Although with its own characteristics determined by the isolation and little contact of national artists and writers with their colleagues in neighboring countries, the cultural modernization of Colombia ran parallel to that of the rest of Latin America. This essay deals with some fundamental moments in this process - the influence of the avant-gardes, political radicalism, nationalist and cosmopolitan tensions - to understand the ideological disputes that influenced the creative processes between the 1920s and 1960s. Compared what happened in Colombia with what was happening in the rest of the continent, the peculiarities of our cultural evolution are better appreciated.

Resumen
We reflect on crossing out as a constitutive part of drawing and, at the same time, on the exposure of one who draws to the artificiality of her own trace. Thanks to the revision of the written and artistic work of different creators of Pasto, in the southwest of Colombia, it is possible to propose the cross-out as a singular conceptual approach taking place in this city. Addressing the problems of representation surrounding tracing, its teaching, exposition and conception, it is understood that the creators that were suggested for this conceptual and experiential exhibition —despite their closeness to academia— propose the overflows typical of drawing by preventing its trace from becoming cloistered in academic boundaries.

Resumen
Frequently, we find episodes in literature works where eroticism and sensuality play an important role in the development of the story. We focus especially on Spanish medieval literature, trying to analyze such scenes, and the role that women are given in them, through their representations in the visual and plastic arts, from the engravings that illustrated the editions, to contemporary manifestations that perpetuate a collective image which does not always correspond to the original text.

Resumen
Silence as an indubitable condition for listening, enabling several ways in which it can be perceived. Attending to an interdisciplinary character, it is considered the inexistence of silence itself and the aesthetic contingencies that may arise from there, followed by a look at the cultural and socio-anthropological that also shapes various ways of differentiate silence. It is also recognized, an intra and inter subjective border of silence that calls to a pause and reflection in a world loaded with noises and sounds that do not give time nor wait for the main listening: the listening of oneself.

Resumen
This article is derived from the research project Education and gestures: an approach to the performance of teachers in the classroom setting, aimed at understanding the gestural choreographies of teachers' hands as performative, educational and aesthetic actions. The study was conceived theoretically and methodologically from an Arts-Based Research approach, implementing experimentation in arts as a method of articulating theory with the processes of understanding and creation. This led to a creative project within the framework of an artistic residency, which materialized a deep understanding about body gestures through various contemporary aesthetic expressions, giving voices to gestures in order to allow them to be conceived outside of the didactic senses that pedagogy has traditionally assigned to them.

Resumen
The life of magazines can be measured in the dynamics of their sections. And Calle 14 has not been the exception in this regard. Throughout 28 issues produced since 2007, we have seen how the central section has become the main section of the journal, encompassing articles that account for research and creation in these modalities: article on artistic, scientific and technological research , reflection article and review article. But the name of artistic research article is our insertion, with the editorial purpose of having an indexable and indexed “scientific” journal from the field of the arts, which at the same time does not give in to the logics, formats and hierarchies of science hard. An arduous and complex task, which at least, we think, allows us to question reality from the aforementioned logics and hierarchies that arise in the natural sciences, pass to the social sciences, the human sciences and end up enrolling in the arts.

Resumen
The objective of this article is to delve into the figure of Italian painter Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1652), whose work is of great interest and was long undervalued. To this end, we analyzed direct sources, such as her artistic works, letters of the time, the proceedings of the trial in which Gestileschi was involved, as well as several studies on her work. Our research focuses on the themes of her paintings in the artistic context in which she had to live, studying the characteristics of her female figures and analyzing how the events of her life ended up conditioning the reception of her work. The conclusions show that, although these circumstances defined and “sexualized” the consideration of her career, her brilliant artistic work, masterful and ahead of her time, has finally prevailed.

Resumen
The resistance of the peoples and systems of thought that have been colonized in their senses by the hegemony of the modern colonial world-system, generates a scenario of differential epistemic alternatives vis-à-vis the Euro-centered patterns in this matter, revealing a set of "other" positions in the sensory dimension. The latter assume autonomous ways of understanding the ideas of knowledge, sensitivity, the sense of knowing and the forms of relationship between those who engage in such processes. The Uitoto way of thinking, which, in its concept of "knowing how to face life" assumes a human existence that is in harmony with the whole of life in the world-fabric – through balance with vital forces, mutual recognition between people (human and non-human) and the community relationship in the personal, social, political and cosmic spheres –, and points to several concepts associated with sensitive-knowledge: measuring the hand, strengthening the handling of breathing and finding one's own body

Resumen
As a contribution to the still new study field of art television and video art in Colombia in the 1980s, we offer an analysis of the first art television program Colombia. This study of Personalmente T. Video (1986) identifies the challenges that the program set itself to achieve for institutional television, the way it assumed and explored television and video ebb and flow in connection with play and a commitment to free education for creating new images and television languages. The study shows how the producers proposed a television utopia of a pedagogical and playful nature in dialogue and contrast with Roberto Rossellini, Jean-Luc Godard and Anne-Marie Miéville.

Resumen
We offer a reflection about the use of dissonances by Claudio Monteverdi and the idea of the sensitive subject during the first half of the 17th century. For this purpose, we review the categories proposed by Christoph Bernhard in his Tractatus compositionis augmentatus (1660). In the conclusion, the relationship between the concepts of affections or passions and the dissonances used by Monteverdi will be made explicit.
