This article discusses Niels Bohr's philosophy of complementarity in the field of biology. To do this, it shows how the concept of complementarity arises in quantum physics and how Bohr generalizes it so that to apply it to biology. Likewise, the article looks for the philosophical sources that give rise to the philosophy of complementarity and concludes that said philosophy is oriented towards an epistemological, rather than an ontological, analysis of subatomic objects and living beings.

This article tries to explain the metaphysical psychology of the classical age of Athens through one of its most emblematic literary genres : tragedy. This requires to say the relationship between tragedy itself with the God who presides it (Dionysus), and the relationship between this god with the cultural and political situation of the time.

On the exile from the nonsense, abandonment and loneliness that arises from being outside the homeland or in any situation derived from the absurdity of the human condition. This contribution is a reflection on the claim that María Zambrano makes of Spanish exile to be able to affirm that exile is the privileged place for self-knowledge and the discovery of one's homeland.

Mineral residues deposited in groundwater have been identified, analyzed and creatively applied. These residues are oversaturated in CO2 and are extracted by means of galleries/mines. The documentary analysis covers the Canary Archipelago; the collection of samples and experimental development has been carried out mainly in galleries and conducts in Tenerife. The most resistant waste-rocks have proved to be magnificent materials for medium format sculpture. The fragmented remains and the rocks of lesser consistency, such as tufa, can be useful in the manufacture of lime-mortars compatible with the restoration of heri-tage works. Due to the petrifying capacity of these waters, multiple possibilities are opened in three-dimensional creation by means of molds and/or mother forms, both in sculpture (unique work) and in artisan activities that require successive repetition of elements of similar characteristics. The exhaustive collection of data and the analyses carried out show the need for basic multidisciplinary research that offers, in relation to the treatment of groundwater and reject brine, alternatives for reuse that are compatible with environmental sustainability.

Sin duda RADAR supone un proyecto a largo plazo dispuesto a repetir su primera edición. En este proceso de asentamiento como lugar de convergencia, se persigue no sólo consolidar la participación del profesorado de reciente incorporación, sino la progresiva integración de los miembros sénior de la comunidad docente y noveles investigadores (doctorados y másteres) en los futuros seminarios, generando un tejido de colaboración intergeneracional más denso de profesorado y fortaleciendo las vinculaciones docente-alumnado.

La exposición de proyectos escultóricos recogió una selección de los trabajos desarrollados por los estudiantes de la asignatura Escultura II de 2.o curso del Grado en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de La Laguna. Más de un centenar de obras, pertenecientes al período 2005-2018, fueron seleccionadas teniendo en cuenta pautas que consideramos de especial importancia: investigación y estudios previos llevados a cabo, desarrollo conceptual, dominio técnico, calidad expresiva de los materiales utilizados, interés plástico y originalidad.
