Resumen
This paper deals with the cultural role that played the fall of the titans’ as a political allegory of the Portuguese monarchy against Islam. The aim of this research is to reconstruct, with a diachronic approach, the iconography of the titans (Adamastor, Atlas), in general, and the titanomachy, in particular, at the Lisbon court, that was applied generally in the ephemeral decorations of the Portuguese regal entries during the Early Modern period (16th - 18th centuries)

Resumen
María Franciska Dapena (1924-1995) was a multidisciplinary artist from Vizcaya remembered, generally, for her participation –the only woman– in the artistic group Estampa Popular de Vizcaya (1962), a backbone movement of legitimated Spanish and Basque art history of the 20th century. However, her recognition as a member of this collective project has been the result of researches carried out in recent decades, which incorporated the objective of recovering the agency of women artists of the past. On this occasion, the article attempts to analyse, firstly, the figure and work of Dapena through a gender perspective and, in turn, to relate part of her contribution to the feminist movement that was taking shape in the circles closest to the artist in which, for example, Lidia Falcón or Sol Panera participated

Resumen
This article documents the now-defunct bridge over the Almendares river in Havana. By providing its administrative record and the original plan, designed by the American engineer Wendel Bollman, this paper proves that this structure was the first iron bridge built in Cuba in 1859. Furthermore, the bridge is studied as a significative example of the implementation of this kind of technology that supplied the public works of Cuba with the necessary means to its own development and updating

Resumen
The present study aims to demonstrate the use of fabrics and elements related to clothing and fashion in Basque artistic production from the last decades of the twentieth century to the present, mainly found in sculpture and new typologies such as art installations.
The context generated in the Basque Country from the end of the 70s, will lead to the creation of an interesting artistic production that is currently part of the most important collections in Basque and state museums such as the Artium in Álava, the Guggenheim and the Museum of Fine Arts in Bilbao, the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, etc. The quantity and formal diversity surrounding its use, makes it necessary to create a chronological as well as material and conceptual approach, to understand its evolution and significance in the Basque artistic context

Resumen
This work aims to reveal some of the different meanings that books acquire in Carmelite pictures. Books appear frequently as an accessory in several iconographic types, with various meanings, mainly linked to a wide range of intellectual activity, from learning to teaching. Books have multiple nuances, from the defence of the word of God and the doctrine of the Church, to highlighting fundamental events in the history of the order, such as when it fled the east and arrived in the west under the guidance by Bertoldo of Lombardy, as well as the most important writings of its members, which are sometimes associated with emblems
