Resumen
In this study, the experiences of pre-professional practices are captured, reflected with the identification of an educational problem and its intervention. The problem revolves around the lack of a planned, systematic, sequenced didactic process with the pedagogical use of digital resources for the Natural Sciences area, causing children to lose attention and interest easily. The objective that was raised was: to determine the impact of digital resources in the teaching of Natural Sciences of the fifth year students, of the Educational Unit “Juan Bautista Vásquez”. Its theoretical foundation is based on authors such as Cisneros and Amendaño who address digital resources and Valdiviezo et al with regard to Natural Sciences. We worked with the socio-critical paradigm, as a qualitative approach, as a method: action research; supported by observation, interview and instruments: field diary and interview script. The results show that the students were motivated about the knowledge when the different digital resources were used in the classes. In conclusion, it is emphasized that this research contributes to the techno-didactics of Natural Sciences in Basic General Education.

This pedagogical experience, presented in the form of an article, proposes creative, playful, metacognitive, and interdiscursive processes that promote the love for reading among children in General Basic Education. From the perspective of Action Research, the qualitative paradigm and documentary and field techniques, indicators were developed that denote a lack of reading habits, coupled with a total absence of reading projects, in six educational institutions in the city of Cuenca.
Based on this situation, a novel set of resources is proposed under the title "actiLIBRO for metaREADING, interdialoguing, and expresSING". Finally, these actions lead us to the following conclusion: school teaching develops logical thinking, comprehension of written texts, identification of main ideas, cross-cutting contents, values, and connections between areas of knowledge. Likewise, the Language and Literature subject must generate knowledge of grammar, spelling, and morphosyntax of our linguistic code. But that's not all: nowadays, it is essential to train children in literary reading, who must read for pleasure and not only under school-related circumstances.

Resumen
Introduction. Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a disorder that often affects individuals who frequently use electronic devices, causing symptoms that not only affect the visual and ocular system, but can also cause discomfort at the musculoskeletal level. During the transition from in-person to virtual education due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers significantly increased their time spent on teleworking and virtual teaching, leading to an increased incidence of CVS and symptoms affecting their comfort during and after work hours. Objective. The objective was to identify the symptoms of CVS in teachers and the strategies they have used to reduce them. Methodology. A qualitative methodology was employed using narrative design, consisting of in-depth interviews to explore the symptoms of CVS and the strategies used by affected teachers. Then, preventive material was designed and evaluated by the teachers in question. Results. Teachers presented symptoms related to CVS that affected their comfort during and after work hours. The symptoms included visual fatigue, headache, eye, and cervical irritation, and in some cases, psychosocial symptoms such as anxiety and stress. Teachers implemented various strategies, such as using eye lubricants, taking active breaks, and adopting optimal ergonomic positions in front of screens. The preventive material designed was positively evaluated by teachers. Conclusion. CVS is a frequent problem in teachers working in a virtual and teleworking mode. Implementation of strategies and availability of preventive material can reduce the symptoms related to CVS.

Resumen
Introduction: A recent outbreak of disease worldwide about cases of acute hepatitis of unknown origin in pediatric patients has activated health alerts since in most countries an unusual increase in this disease has been reported, which has captured the attention, due to rapid progress towards acute liver failure. Objective: Describe the relationship between human adenovirus infection and hepatitis of unknown origin in pediatrics. Methodology: A bibliographic review was conducted on human adenovirus infection as a potential cause of hepatitis in pediatrics, for which several studies published in databases such as PubMed, SciELO, Scopus, and Web of Science were used. Results: The causality of this disease remains uncertain up to now, but several hypotheses have been proposed, among them the most accepted allegation that it could be a consequence of infection by human adenovirus and although it is well established that infections by this pathogen are common in children, the severity of clinical symptoms as the underlying cause is not fully justified. Conclusion: It will be a challenge to determine the role of adenovirus in acute pediatric hepatitis, since understanding its pathophysiology will allow developing effective surveillance and treatment strategies that prevent exacerbation of the disease and liver transplantation. Meanwhile, it is suggested to consider adenovirus as the differential diagnosis of acute non-A-E hepatitis.

Resumen
Introduction: The present analysis starts from the inquiry of the academic formation of the architect and the application of the contents of geometry with the different projects that are dictated in the second semester of the Architecture Major, pretending to overcome the traditionalism of the pedagogical models using the solution to the concrete needs of the context, besides having very clear the investigative work that generates the study, and to show analytical results, and objectives through the integrating project which provides skills and competences to develop in the solution of a problem. Objectives: The objective is to apply the contents of the formative projects through pedagogical activities for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary development in an innovative architectural design based on the origin of geometry as a specific area of mathematics. Methodology: it is oriented to the description and interpretation of the fundamental combinations of the experience and the meaning of the pedagogical value applied in the students, who support the practical exercise and activities in the project process in architecture and urbanism, on the other hand, the methodological approach used was phenomenological-hermeneutic, aimed at the interpretation and recognition of relationships and practices of everyday pedagogy exhibiting and contributing from the educational inquiry and investigative practice. Results: The student is prepared to analyze the context in a specialized and competitive way through the linkage with teaching and the practical work of integration, recognizing the argument that fits with all the characteristics for the elaboration of the design of a cultural center using the contents of geometry when shaping an architectural object with all its components. Conclusions: It was concluded that the practice of integration of knowledge of the different formative projects and geometry in architecture contributes to the professional profile of the architect, enabling the student to create new knowledge and identify the problems of the context and capture in the design of architectural works that are visualized in a balanced and harmonious way.

Resumen
INTRODUCTION AND AIM
Although the performance of the first implanted ear seems to be an important factor and possibly the best predictor of success in sequential bilateral cochlear implantation, there are currently few studies that focus on the first implanted ear after implantation of the second, when the interventions are given
in a deferred way in time. The aim of the present investigation was to evaluate the percentage of word hits in the first implanted ear (CI1), before and after the implantation of the second ear (CI2).
MATERIAL AND METHODS
Series of pre-experimental cases. The sample consisted of 8 prelingual patients who used sequential bilateral cochlear implants. Demographic and hearing history data were collected, and the percentage of word hits was evaluated at two moments: at 6 months of CI1 and at 3 months of CI2.
RESULTS
The presence of two differentiated groups is evident: those patients in whom the percentage of hits achieved with CI1 decreases after the activation of CI2 and those in whom said percentage increases, the first group having the largest number of patients.
CONCLUSIONS
Having reliable data on this phenomenon would make it possible to provide realistic expectations about the benefits of this modality of intervention to candidate patients. In turn, the rehabilitators could develop specific approach strategies to optimize the hearing performance of each ear, and as a consequence, favor the quality of life of the users.
