The paper offers an approximation to the Thomistic theory of the analogy of the divine names from a consideration of the general notion of analogy to which Aquinas subscribes and which has its origin on the discussions on equivocation found in logical treatises. It shows the extent to which the analogous predication of God and of creature is a unique case, not entirely equal to the traditional cases of analogous predication. The diverse ways in which Aquinas characterizes the analogy of the divine names would respond, not so much to an evolution of his thoughts on analogy, but to an attempt to characterize such difference.

This article tries to approach an interpretative reading of the Parable of the Samaritan from the text and the context to deepen it; that is to say, to go beyond a simple reading whose teaching is Christian practice but seen in isolation. It aims to introduce the reader to the text from a Christological perspective. That is, to see in the parable a metaphor of Jesus of Nazareth and his action in favor of the Kingdom of justice that appeals to the God whose entrails are of mercy. And, in this sense - as E. Schweizer says - see how Jesus is the parable of God. Therefore, the parable contains much more than a simple teaching. It expresses the infinite and saving love of God, made in the person of Jesus of Nazareth.

In this paper, the author presents the scientific work interpreted from abductive reasoning. In this way, the fallible character of science becomes evident, overcoming its naive views. The author also shows how this vision of science from abductive reasoning is linked to a way of scientific realism. Instead, the vision of science dependent on inductive and deductive reasoning are, according to the author, quite similar and closer an infallible vision of science. To demonstrate this, the type of reality assumed by both Francis Bacon and Karl Popper is presented, which the author defines as a previously organized independent reality. Finally, the author proposes that the understanding of science from abductive reasoning reveals three peculiarities of it: functionality, the closeness between science and technology, and the limited rationality of science.

In this paper, Edith Stein's conception of women is analyzed from the perspective of philosophical anthropology, with a predominantly phenomenological approach. Her ideas are presented as a foundation for contemporary philosophical reflection on women, seen as a person who possesses unquestionable dignity. Likewise, the topicality of her approaches is highlighted, mainly what Edith Stein called the “feminine specific”.

This paper is an academic reflection within the pastoral area, which involves a theological reflection inasmuch as it has to do with Christian practices and the way to announce the Good Word. Pandemic times provide a good opportunity to reinvent new strategies for pastoral work: ones that are nearer, more engaged in history, open to dialogue and with a better understanding of the person and its integrity. It is important to understand that times have changed and thus the way to announce the faith in Jesus Christ needs to change as well. We need to move from a pastoral focused on morality and the obedience of precepts and external norms, to one that truly fill the person with a deep experience of God. This lively encounter with him will determine the way to understand religion as a relation with God, oneself, and others.

The following work attempts to broaden the perspective regarding beliefs considering that traditionally only beliefs of the conscious and linguistic type have been considered. In other words, it has been assumed that human cognition only creates beliefs from our ability to produce language. Contrary to this, the article suggests that cognition implies a spectrum of beliefs that also encompasses those that are neither linguistic nor conscious, and that emotions are beliefs as propositional survival programs. In order to accomplish this, theories of the philosophy of the mind, contemporary psychoanalysis, Buddhist psychology and neuroscience are treated. Taking all in consideration, we can assure that the amount of beliefs we have is much wider than those of which we are linguistically aware.

This paper aims to reflect on the theme of Prevention, Health Promotion and Personal Bioethics in the defense and promotion of human life. Today more than ever it is necessary to maintain a vigilant look at human life, which is continually exposed to dangers that affect the health and well-being of people, hence the need for an incisive health promotion that benefits everyone. Personalistic Bioethics in this context is proposed through three of its principles as the model that defends the human person and its dignity, in the promotion of health care and the life of each person, as both an individual and a collective commitment.

Humanity is in danger of extinction, the world lives a war against an invisible enemy in the 21st century, the Covid-19 pandemic, which not only puts people's lives at risk, but also shows us the inhuman side to which the neoliberal policy has led us such as: the abandonment of health, education, and security. The main objective of this research is to analyze existential risk and employability. Bibliographic review was carried out, as well as the analysis of documents, decrees, norms and laws. Artificial intelligence, biotechnology and the pandemic itself were identified as potential existential risks for the future work. It is necessary to reflect from a public policy that considers the future of employability at existential risk facing the covid-19 and post-pandemic context.

In this essay the epistemic criterion of fallibilism is analyzed within the critical rationalism and scientific realism that make up the epistemology of Karl Popper. Fallibilism becomes evident especially when evaluating not only scientific theories but also moral theories or various conceptions of good, in order to determine their claims to truth in the context of a plural and democratic society.
