Traditional Intelligent Networks (IN) systems have entered a stage of technological obsolescence in the market; however, value-added services maintain an important role to continue being offered, mainly to users and companies. In this way, operators must look for solutions to maintain the service and in some cases make use of existing networks. The evolution of IN to the New Generation Intelligent Grids (NGIN) is an imminent need, but sometimes it is unknown how the evolution process is. This article allows operators to migrate to new innovative IN solutions from their existing networks. They can abstract and solve problems of interaction of characteristics resulting from the composition of services from heterogeneous network domains. To guarantee the complete migration of the functionalities to new platforms, the Historical-logical, Scientific and Deductive methods were used, which allow visualizing the evolution, scientific verification and analysis of standardized requirements and demands, fundamental in the evolution from IN to Multimedia Subsystem Internet Protocol (IMS). These solutions make it possible to provide new IN services in IMS and enrich existing IN services with Internet and web domain services.

Digital beamforming constitutes one of the actual tendencies in the construction of the antenna’s array. The paper presents the core’s realization for an electronic beam scan system in FPGA from the digital design made in Simulink (MATLAB), and exported to VHDL for its synthesis in the programmable logic device. The work gets a method to develop and fine-tunes this kind of processor that can be extended to more complex applications within this job’s line like smart antennas with adaptive data processing. The main contribution is the processor’s implementation for a digital array with an electronic scan from the description made in MATLAB.

In this paper, a digital reception system is proposed for a radio system with frequency agility. With frequency spectrum sensing for adaptive channel tuning the digital receiver avoid operate in high interference channels. With digital signal processing techniques like digital filters, decimators, NCO, and mixers the overall system is simulated and verified in Matlab. By Simulink model-based design flow the modeled blocks are synthesized in VHDL for final implementation in the Intel FPGA device. Finally, by system parameter measure is proved the used design method effectiveness. The methodology shows a way for software-defined radio design and implementation under a high spectral saturation environment keeping electromagnetic compatibility with other systems.

Electronic warfare (EW) includes all actions that use electromagnetic or directed energy weapons to control the electromagnetic spectrum or to attack a threat. Conducting EW in urban areas seeks to achieve much the same results as in other environments. A major consideration in urban areas is collateral effects on portions of the urban critical infrastructure that rely on the electromagnetic spectrum for service. While the EW cognoscenti have long recognized the importance of the contribution of EW to modern warfare, recently EW has been sagaciously integrated into modern warfare thinking. Cognitive radio (CR) technology has been proved to be a tempting solution to promote spectrum efficiency and relieve spectrum scarcity problems. Nevertheless, the cognitive capability cannot only be realized by monitoring on some frequency bands of interest but also more innovative techniques are required to capture the spectrum holes with temporal, frequency or spatial variations in sophisticated frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) radio environments, and avoid to the existing primary users (PU). The aim of this paper is to give an update over view of the roll of CR in EW.

Radar detection in environments with high spatial and temporal variability is an issue of great importance. Many efforts are devoted to the development of adaptive techniques that allow robust operation for all possible scenarios. Among the most widely used techniques in this context are those that changes the detection threshold adaptively in order to maintain a constant false alarm rate (CFAR). New CFAR detectors appear frequently, so it is useful the permanent update of the state-of-art in this topic. Therefore, this article presents the theoretical framework required by CFAR techniques, as well as a literature review in this matter. Furthermore, the application of non-coherent integration to CFAR detection is included as a distinctive element. Emphasis is made on three different scenarios: homogeneous clutter, multiple interfering targets and transitions in the clutter level. This review will be useful for researchers requiring a brief view of CFAR detection.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) constitute a new application field that has attracted great interest among researchers in recent years [1]. Due to the expansion of WSN scenarios running in Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) bands, a new challenge associated with spectral efficiency has arisen. To overcome this issue, Mitola [2] has introduced the concept of Cognitive Radio (CR) which empowers nodes by increasing the radio unit's awareness of its environment. This technology allows each CR node to access the unused frequency bands under certain interference constraints with the primary user (PU) signal.

Corpo. Taking as object of analysis a short story by Pernambuco writer Marcelino Freire, O Conto Junior, present in his book Rasif: sea that breaks, our text seeks to exemplify how the flesh born with a penis is not condemned by nature, or by a deity, to eventually become male or masculine bodies. The text seeks to clear that there are more masculine forms than naturalist and deterministic views state. Keywords: Flesh. Body.
