The psychic impact of the banner-painting is registered since the times of evangelization in Guayrá. In the Tupã Róga ("Casa de Dios") the reception of the image by the Guaraní continues to be translated into a magical-shamanic channel: the images are, like words, bearers of spirit: apparitions. Added to the nature of that reception is an interpretive layer that pairs verbal and visual signs. The word, which the pre-Hispanic Guaraní links to the different manifestations of the soul, under the Jesuit experience maintains its meaning and éschatos, with linguistic equivalences that propitiate deviations or lateralities in the theological sense. The Catecismo de la Lengua Guaraní (1640) reveals to what extent the search for such equivalences leads to different constructions of meaning. Essential words, such as "soul", "image", "Glory" or "hell" echo on different planes, according to the semantic demands of the transmitting sign and the adaptations that the receiving mold creates. In the case of images, their re-signification is analogous.

As we have been publishing so far, the document we present on this occasion is one of the 12 acquaintances presented by various Jesuits from the province of Paraguay to Fr. Pedro Calatayud to facilitate the task in the composition of a history of Paraguay, of which he could only sketch a draft. In this particular case, it is a text, as the title indicates, of a school that had special gravitation in the creation and development of the missions of Chiriguanos and especially of children, that great missionary hope that meant for the Jesuits of the first half 18th century

This essay studies the administrative work performed by Jesuit Pablo Joseph de Arriaga as rector of the Arequipa College (1609-1612). Based on an unpublished judicial file on a lawsuit that Father Arriaga followed against the royal officers for the alms of wine, oil and medicines, the social conflicts and destruction suffered by the properties of the aforementioned school were affected as a result of the movements telluric that suffered the province in the first years of the seventeenth century.

A selection of cutouts from the papers found in the apartments of the Jesuits of the Alcalá de Henares College, after the expulsion of the Jesuits from Spain, is studied in this article. The objective of this compilation, whose title reads Censurable Proposals in Jesuit manuscripts, makes clear the objective: look for texts written by members of the Society of Jesus alluding to an unorthodox morality or suspects attitudes to justify, if necessary, the exile of those religious ordered by Carlos III in 1767.

From a mortuary mask began to paint portraits of St. Ignatius in Europe, until he began to draw a series about the most important events of his life. We present this news to reach the Rubens models that were the ones that ultimately prevailed and influenced the whole world to start a classic iconography, whose background and subsequent development featured prominent artists, not only in Europe but also in America.

In 1668 Julian de Aller S.J. leave the rectory of the San Francisco Xavier de Chu-quisaca University with the mission of going to the jungle area of the Llanos de Mojos.
