The black feminist ideology in literary discourse is the object of study of this research, which is aiming at determining how the discourse of an ilocutive agent reflects the change of ideology of Southern African-American women in the 1960s. Then, the characterization of the ilocutive agent as valuating subject is carried out. This research analyzes the novel The Help. Written by Kathryn Stockett, this novel describes the situation of African- American women in Mississippi during the Civil Rights Movement. An ilocutive agent of the novel was chosen to critically analyze her discourse. Theory involving discourse, Critical Discourse Analysis, black feminist ideology, and modality was presented in the research. The methodology included a literary review, the historical- logical, the inductive-deductive,  analytic-synthetic methods, a literary analysis and a Critical Discourse Analysis. The results have shown that the ilocutive agent has positive and assertive self-valuations as a  member of the community, whereas regarding her marriage the valuations are negative. The valuations are also negative and the ilocutive agent is gushing when she says her opinion on the context she is living.

Diseases produced by phytopathogenic fungi are one of the main causes of crop loss since humans started growing plants. Until now, these diseases have been mainly controlled by the improvement of plant resistance by means of selection and crossbreeding programs, the use of agrochemical products and an accurate crop rotation. Nevertheless, these strategies are not enough to control diseases caused by fungi because of the necessary long periods of time to carry out the crossbreeding and backcrossing as well as the selection of commercial varieties, which is plenty of time for new fungi types with different levels of virulence to appear. On the other hand, the use of agrochemical products is expensive and these eventually lack efficacy as a result of the evolution of the pathogen, apart from being extremely dangerous to the ecosystem. Implementing modern techniques of plant biotechnology as well as genetic engineering makes possible the obtainment of plants that protect themselves against fungi or fungal groups in short time. Tobacco is studied as a model to understand the molecular mechanisms of transference and regulation, which could be applied to crops of high economic importance such as the potato

In December 2019, a new virus appeared in Wuhan (China), SARS-CoV-2, the origin of the disease called COVID-19 that has currently caused a pandemic that devastates the planet. Globally, the scientific community is dedicating all its efforts to understand the virus, the disease and to find solutions that will lead the world out of this nightmare. This article reviews the data on the evolution of the disease, describes the biological processes that cause the major part of the deaths, and discusses the treatments used to mitigate the disease. In addition, and taking into account that it is a viral disease, the status of the only possible solutions are described; which are the discovery of a potential drug, the development of a vaccine, and the achievement herd immunity. Likewise, we present a simple mathematical model of the growth and decay of the number of cases. This document is written when the number of cases and deaths worldwide are still in a growth phase, therefore this document will be partial and only data published up to the date of writing this article will be collected (07/20/2020). It is possible that in the near future there will be new research that may make some of the information mentioned here obsolete, however, this text will allow the reader to create a slight image of the situation in July 2020.

Menu engineering is a set of key tools to evaluate the restaurant menu. For a long time it was thought that the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix was the only tool to enable to do this evaluation; butthere are other instruments that help analyze the permanence or removal of dishes in the menu. So far, in addition to the BCG Matrix, we can use the following tools: Cost engineering (Omnes principles), profitability index per dish (PID), popularity index, Pavesic Matrix, Miller Matrix, and the multi-criteria analysis. In this article, we propose to use the Arthur D. Little (ADL) Matrix as it complements the analysis of the restaurant menus by observing two complementary concepts: the amounts sold and the product shelf life (contribution margin). In order for the ADL matrix to contribute to menu engineering, we propose to re-structure this matrix with the explanation and results obtained so as to have better tools at the time of deciding the distribution, selection, permanence or removal of dishes in the menu.

This work looks into the main document of the National Cross-Cultural Bilingual Education Plan (PNEIB in Spanish) 2021 in Peru. This educational proposal highlights the revaluation of native languages, citizenship training and cross-cultural dialogue among the various social agents linked to the project. Thus, this research studies each of the above three issues to account for their effective implementation based on the discourse analysis of the program. For this purpose, the critical inter-culturality proposal, the abilities approach and the human capital development perspective are used. We then analyze if the project formulated by the PNEIB is viable only at discourse level or has an effective correlation in the implementation of this education policy.

Starting academic life represents a problem to new comers into higher education. This situation is aggravated in the case of students in art-related majors, as there is a pre-conception that these disciplines are oriented towards the development of artistic skills only. However, university life also implies the development of other skills related to academic life. Considering these difficulties, we present in this text some perspectives about the teaching of essay writing and research at university level. We propose that the content of the student’s major field of studies courses should be articulated with the research practice by means of writings that evidence the textualization of the artistic practice, knowledge that is valuable in the specialization.

The social-environmentalism can be described as a hybrid conceptual current between the environmentalism –mostly based on ecology and economics– and, the humanism, rooted on social sciences, especially sociology and anthropology. The social-environmentalism calls itself "environmentalism with social awareness." At present, socio-environmentalism has largely replaced environmentalism and its techniques that, in many cases, even came to be seen as retrograde, as in the case of natural protected areas. But, this hybrid, as usual, is not fertile. It does not work well for society nor for the environment. In addition, socio-environmentalism is growingly very alike current radical anthropocentrism, which does not consider that the natural is transcendent. Both are equivalent to the ancient myth of the inexhaustible nature.

The aim of this article is to develop the most relevant strategy approaches and the approaches related to business models, and to demonstrate the close link existing between both concepts. The theoretical referents are Michael Porter, Henry Mintzberg, Kim, and Mauborgne, Osterwalder and Pigneur, with focus on the strategy proposed by Igor Ansoff. We analyze the sequencing of the use of the various strategy approaches and the business models approaches, and the impact on each other. We end up by answering the query: What comes first, the strategy or the business model?

Any type of service without a dose of quality is difficult to meet or exceed the expectations of the customer or visitor, this kind of situation results in customers or visitors not returning or recommending the service, all this signifying economic deficiencies as a result of a bad service. The present research aims to “Identify what type of relationship and influence exists between tourist guidance and the quality of service in the San Francisco Convent museum”.The sample consisted of 384 visitors to the Museum, it was characterized by gender, age group, the instrument was focused on knowing the level of enthusiasm of the tour guide, the use of some technological equipment in the guide service, the level of attention to mu- seum visitors, ethics and morals of the tour guide to enforce relevant regulations during the on-site visit to safeguard the integrity of the collections. The results obtained determine that the processes that have been used during the development of the service must be impro- ved, two segments of visitors were identified, one of them is interested in knowing about the Museum only the basic and elementary aspects and the other segment is very interested in the technical-artistic aspects of the collections. In order to generate pleasant experien- ces in each of these segments, it is important to develop a manual of administrative proce- dures, as well as a manual for the Tourism Guide of the San Francisco Convent Museum.
