The purpose of this research work is to prepare an information security management plan for the security assets of the Cañar provincial government, dedicated to the implementation of projects and services, in order to meet the province's requirements. The applied approach is inductive-deductive, supported by descriptive and bibliographic research, together with the analytical method; The techniques for collecting the information were: questionnaires, checklists, and interviews with public servants from the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) department. The results of the investigation demonstrated the potential risks against the security assets of the Cañar prefecture, being the lack of security procedures and the little importance of training in cybersecurity issues to the servers who are working in the organization, therefore that it is essential to develop information security policies, focusing their efforts on the area of ​​cybersecurity, precisely in this era in which all companies seek technological innovation and therefore the growth of information systems and services through the internet.

The uncontrolled increase in the number of vehicles and the concentration of public and private institutions and organizations generates serious and latent vehicle congestion problems in Ecuador. Several cities have been affected by this growth, which has caused their roads within urban areas operate beyond their capacity, this has led to the incorporation of alternative road infrastructure such as bicycle lanes and peatonalization of spaces, seeking to reduce the congestions and vehicular traffic that is generated. There are various groups in favor and against this type of mobility alternatives, so in this research a tool has been developed that allows the visualization of non-motorized mobility in Loja city in order to determine the number of people who use these spaces and whose information helps decision-making for the implementation of new routes within the city in an orderly way.

The world has made great changes in the last century regarding communication; most societies have adopted different languages to carry out their education, business, technologies, and social life. Among the most important languages around the world, it is the English language that is considered as a lingua franca, and most people want to master it for being competitive in different fields. Besides, these well-known aspects there are lots of research which claims for a more critical role of bilingualism and its effect on effect on cognition and skills which are related with being creative, independent, innovative, and to be able to make decisions, take risks, among others which are the new abilities for the XXI century. Hence, this research intends to present a comparative analysis based on bibliographical and documental research on updated theories that are in favor and opposite with the effect of bilingualism in cognition.

COVID 19 is an infectious disease sustained by the coronavirus, this condition has caused significant changes in the social and economic life of the human being, in Ecuador to date, according to the WHO, 50,919 cases have been confirmed, of which 4,246 were fatal , this condition that has caused the application of novel strategies for the development of the teaching-learning process, representing precisely the condition previously exposed the mobile, which led to the writing of this scientific work, with which it is intended to disseminate the content of a strategy methodological approach aimed at facing the academic activity of nursing students, who are limited to carrying out fundamental practical actions in their work activity. Studies prior to the writing of the present allow to assert that, despite the efforts made by managers, teachers and other personalities, it has not been possible to establish methodological guidelines that facilitate essentially practical learning for future graduates. The research that basically supported the elaboration of the article demanded the selection of methods of the empirical and theoretical level of the research, which provided findings that show the need to seek ways that generate knowledge and facilitate the learning of students. The scientific result obtained was endorsed by nine duly prepared experts, who certified the potential of the content of the strategy. Coming to the conclusion that through the application of curricular strategies that present problem actions as a basis, the chosen scientific problem can be largely solved.

The present work is a systematic review of the literature is the result of previous work for the construction of a Direct Memory Access (DMA) using the VHDL hardware description language, the Field-programmable gate array devices (FPGA) and some algorithms for the programming of these devices, the main objective of this study is to provide an effective methodology for modeling the DMA controller ensuring proper access to data by optimizing resources for each of the relevant transactions, Another objective is to know the different architectures that exist and the configuration of the devices for a much simpler and optimal implementation, the literature research includes a framework of the Systematic Literature Review process on primary studies focused on the search of articles related to architecture, design and algorithms used to build the DMA Controller using FPGA and VHDL. The results of the review show that there is a great variety of DMA architectures, the use of these architectures depends on the type of transmission you want to make and the types of data involved in the transaction, there are also several design models in multiple programming and modeling languages, according to the DMA architecture, there is the improved architecture of the controller that greatly helps to reduce processing latency, as well as the presence of a specific architecture needed for read/write image and video

The concept of gender-based violence does not explain an obvious situation of living together in the same home. When we link the rate of deaths due to gender-based violence we have to differentiate between couples who live together and those who do not. We understand that women are victims of gender-based violence in various contexts, without the condition of living together being met. Therefore, knowing the importance of the consequences such as vulnerability and helplessness that arise from a situation where the victim shares housing with her aggressor, our attention is directed towards the effectiveness of the measures taken by the authorities. To this end, we use the decision tree as a research tool in order to be able to interpret the usefulness of the information provided in the Statistical Portal of the Government Delegation against Gender Violence (Spanish Ministry of Equality) to help us understand the cause of the increase or decrease in the rate of women who die of gender violence in cohabitation, by assessing the relevance or lack of effectiveness of the measures taken in this regard. This research is framed within the quantitative paradigm, taking as an objective the interpretation of the data and the evaluation of the measures carried out, during the study period from 2009 to 2019, capable of helping to place the rate of deaths in cohabitation, in cases of deaths from gender violence, below 63.63%.

The entire world has been paralyzed by an invisible enemy, which emerged in the midst of a series of discussions regarding its origin. In a short period of time, Covid-19 affected all processes related to the production of goods and services; as well as, the commercial processes of all countries, generating economic crises surrounded by indicators of a social and economic nature. Unemployment is one of the most outstanding indicators worldwide, leading to a direct impact on the family environment. After a review of reliable information from official government sources and a series of investigations carried out in this regard, the conclusions of this investigation maintain that unemployment generates diseases subject to the mental state, generating disorders such as anxiety, stress and depression, shaping the behavior of individuals and that directly affects the family environment.

To model the microgrid, the data and characteristics of the solar panels and wind turbine installed at the Center for Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfers (CIITT) of the Catholic University of Cuenca are taken. Weather data (solar radiation and wind) are sampled every hour, 365 days a year; it then goes through the fuzzy logic process and obtains the maximum values of current, voltage, and power. Any changes to the inputs immediately involve changes to the outputs. This article introduces the mathematical model of fuzzy logic, the irradiance and temperature effect of solar panels, as well as the direction and wind speed on the parameters of a residential microgrid connected to the grid. Detailed modeling is simulated step by step using MATLAB/Simulink software due to its frequent use and efficiency

El cultivo de Maíz (Zea mays L.), es de gran importancia, dado su consumo y uso, como la elaboración de alimentos procesados para la nutrición humana y animal. Pero entre la problemática que se presenta en este cultivo  tenemos las malezas, que constituyen un problema en la agricultura por ser plantas agresivas, que afectan su normal crecimiento y desarrollo. La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la selectividad del herbicida Pledge, en mezclas con preemergentes para el control malezas gramíneas y hoja ancha.  Los resultados determinaron que a los 15 días la mayor altura de planta fue 12,92 cm, con la mezcla de Pledge+Glyphosato (510 g/kg+480 g/l + Pledge+Paraquat), Mientras que los 45 días, la aplicación de Pledge produjo 138,37 cm. En la longitud de mazorca, la mezcla Pledge+Glyphosato (510 g/kg+480 g/l) con 18,75 cm y el diámetro de mazorca, con la aplicación de Pledge (510 g/kg) + Pendimethalin+Atrazina (400 g/l+900 g/kg con 8,12 cm. Sin embargo, la aplicación de Pledge (510 g/kg) en sus dos dosificaciones produjo los mayores pesos, 211,22 y 210,52 gramos, en relación con el testigo absoluto que registró el menor peso con 167,10 gramos. Se identificaron las especies Amaranthus (Amaranthus dubius), Paja de burro (Eleusine indica), Coquito (Cyperus rotundus), Caminadora (Rottboellia exaltata), donde el nivel de control estuvo en el rango del 93% al 96%, el nivel de toxicidad de acuerdo con la escala de (ALAM), fue a partir de los 14 días que lo ubica con Clorosis más pronunciada, manchas neurótica y malformaciones.

The present research work was carried out in the rural sector Plan America belonging to Canton Daule, located in the Litoral or Coastal region, northwest of the lower basin of the Guayas province. The general objective of this work is to evaluate the environmental, economic and social sustainability of the rice production system in the area of Daule, province of Guayas. Based on which, alternatives can be proposed to improve the productivity, recover degraded soils and also reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The results of this study indicated that the age average for the producers in the Daule area is around 50 years. It was also showed that the main crop in this sector is rice and all the people are dedicated to agriculture; growing rice monocultures which is an activity done by more than two family members through traditional technologies. Some people consume directly the product of its harvests and others process it. The income from this activity is mainly designated to food, health, and education. In addition, it was seen that around 80% of the people have between 1 to 10 productive hectares. Agroecological indicators were found very sensitive to the realities of the rice system of the canton Daule, which suffered very similar edaphic deterioration in most of the variables evaluated, probably due to the continuous production of the monoculture.
