ABSTRACT: n Brazil the textbook was regulated with the legislation created in 1938 by the decree of law 1006. The textbooks were increasingly used and to ensure distribution in public schools the federal government created the National Textbook Program (PNLD) through Decree No. 91.542 / 85. This research aimed to analyze the process of choosing and using the science textbook by elementary school teachers in the municipality of Caridade do Piauí. Twenty science teachers from the largest public elementary schools in the municipality were interviewed. Through this research it was observed that teachers do not strictly follow the PNLD guidelines for choosing books, most also revealed that they did not use or had access to the Textbook Guide to select books. Most teachers reveal that they choose teaching material based on criteria they set themselves. Although they do not follow PNLD's instructions for choosing, current science books worked in schools have been well evaluated by teachers on various criteria such as theoretical content, visual aids, proposed activities and additional resources. Regarding the interference of the internet in the use of textbooks, most teachers state that books remain the main material used in the classroom. From all these aspects we can conclude that most teachers do not follow the guidelines of PNLD and Textbook Guide to make textbook choices. KEYWORDS: Guidelines, PNLD, Schools.

ABSTRACT: The present research discusses, from the perspective of the popular economy and public policies, the perception of the actors present in the free fair activity, marketers, consumers and merchants of the surroundings. The object is in the municipality of Arapiraca, located in the wild of Alagoas, where its main activity is trade, recognition acquired through the historic and traditional free fair Arapiracas, held on Mondays. It is in the free market that many find a way to get employment and income for family support and the state needs to promote conditions for the development of this activity and consequently the citizen who depends on it. The main objectives of this article were: to analyze the economic and social aspects of the free fair as well as its influence on the surrounding trade and to identify the presence / absence of the public power in the free fair. The methodology used was the bibliographic research besides the application of questionnaires with marketers, consumers and merchants unidentified. In the development we found that 59% of the fair marketers have only incomplete elementary school, 28% live in surrounding cities, 55% depend exclusively on the fair as a source of income and 77% earn up to r $ 300.00 per fair. Given its income-generating capacity, the fair plays a socio-financial role that can lift families out of extreme poverty and that the government does not fulfill its role in promoting the development of this activity. ABSTRACT:  Caatinga is a unique and exclusive biome in Brazil and, despite this, there are few studies that seek to understand the process of herbivory that occurs in plant species, even though this is an element of great importance about ecological relations. Considering the scarce information about the action of the edge effect on the herbivory of the plant species Ziziphus joazeiro Mart. (juazeiro) in Caatinga area, this study aimed to verify if there is influence of the edge effect on the herbivory in juazeiro, considering both the edge and the interior region of a forest fragment. The study was conducted in a Caatinga fragment in the municipality of Igaci-AL, with an experimental area divided into 20 linear transects of 10m², 10 transects in the edge region of the area and another 10 within the studied area. In each transect, 10 leaf limbs were randomly collected, separated in plastic bags and taken for analysis, where they were photographed and analyzed using the Image J software. The data obtained were transformed into √x + 1 and submitted to analysis of variance. The means compared by Tukey test at 5% probability using the SISVAR program. The herbivory rate was also calculated. A total of 34 individuals were found, 17 inside the fragment and 17 at the edge. Although in gross numbers there is a difference in the herbivory level between the edge and the interior, statistically there was no significance, presenting the same herbivory level in both regions. In addition, the herbivory rate averages in edge and inland conditions were not statistically significant either. Regarding the percentage of leaves with herbivory (herbivory rate), they were classified in category 1. Thus, it can be concluded that the edge effect did not influence the herbivory of the species in this Caatinga fragment. KEYWORDS: semiarid, plant-animal interaction, habitat fragmentation.

ABSTRACT: In the 1960s, small experimental plots of native and exotic forest species were installed in various parts of the country, including Paubrasilia echinata, in order to evaluate their behavior under homogeneous planting conditions and years later a large number of these plots were left without maintenance and were abandoned. Thus, the objective of this work was to retrieve silvicultural information about the plantations and to present results of behavior in experimental homogeneous plantations carried out in the coastal zone of the Northeast Region, specifically in the municipalities of Camaragibe-PE, Lagoa de Itaenga-PE, São Lourenço da Mata- PE, Nísia Floresta-RN and Maceió-AL. The trees located in the center of each plantation were measured, and the following variables were collected: circumference at the base (CB), circumference at breast height (CBH) and total height. The volume was estimated using the form factor 0.5. Higher growth was observed in Maceió-AL, with MAI (medium annual increment) estimated 9.396 m³.ha-¹.year-1 with 36 years old, where the site presents higher natural fertility. Lower values of MAI were observed in NísiaFloresta-RN, 1.336 m³.ha-¹.year-1 with 41 years old and Camaragibe-PE, 1.956 m³.ha-¹.year-1 with 24 years old. Although the growth of the species is considered slow, it was observed that the average increment in height and diameter of homogeneous plantings evaluated was higher than the quantified of several species of the Amazon Forest and even of the Atlantic Forest.

ABSTRACT: This research aimed to investigate the representation of the female figure in Graciliano Ramos' work São Bernardo, specifically regarding the aspects of violence and oppression. In this sense, we sought to understand the representation of the feminine from the cultural bias of the time of publication of the work, emphasizing the factors of domination, submission, silencing and exercise of power over the female gender. To this end, the choice of this work as a research corpus was motivated by representing a complex, imposing female character who shares emancipating thought in the midst of a period marked by patriarchy. Thus, this study provided an interdisciplinary course from the areas of cultural studies, literary studies and feminist critique, contextualizing the historical period represented in the work. On the other hand, the novel also allowed us to analyze the trajectory of women, situating the impositions and restrictions through the preestablished roles of the culture and society of the period, as well as enabling the establishment of correlations with women and their role in contemporary times. During the investigation, it is possible to observe prejudice and inferiority marks faced by females, especially in relation to the functions imposed on social life, prevailing a hierarchy between males and females, emphasizing dependence and female submission. The research had as theoretical and methodological foundation the conceptions of Beauvoir (1980); Bosi (2007); Candido (2006); Friedan (1971); Geertz (2008); Hall (2006); Laraia (2009); Ortner (2017) Tedeschi (2008), Woolf (1928), among others. In this work, traits were observed that represented the aggressive and domineering character of men, as socially and culturally considered superior subject before women, idealized as the most fragile and auxiliary gender of men. Throughout the investigation, we noticed, in São Bernardo, the attribution of the inferiorization attributed to women. In this sense, scholars consider gender inequalities a reality that exists independently of the social group and in the most diverse types of society, and the way women are treated according to the time and culture in which they operate is varied. ABSTRACT: Schistosomiasis is an infectious disease, initially asymptomatic, which can progress to extremely severe clinical forms and lead the patient to death. Although it presents a reduction in morbidity and mortality indicators, it is still considered a serious public health problem in northeastern Brazil. The present study aims to analyze the occurrence of Schistosomiasis prevalent in the Northeast region, in the period from 2013 to 2017. It is a descriptive epidemiological study, in which it was carried out based on the analysis of secondary data provided by the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN). The years 2014 (1419 cases), 2015 (1483 cases) and 2017 (1220 cases) stand out with the highest prevalence of the disease in the states of Bahia with 3226 cases, Pernambuco with 1442 and Sergipe 559 cases. The data indicate that 2876 patients were cured, 116 people were not cured and 256 people died. There was a higher occurrence of the disease in adults, especially the age groups between 20 and 59 years old. As for the residential area notified by SINAN, it was possible to verify that 3926 people infected with the disease live in the urban area, 2099 in the rural area and 44 in the peri-urban area. There was a higher rate of positive cases for Schistosomiasis mansonic in the urban area, with 61% of cases. The collected data indicate an endemic occurrence of Schistosomiasis in Northeast Brazil. Becoming indispensable measures to prevent the risk of contamination of the disease. KEYWORD: Epidemiology, Public Health, Schistosoma Mansoni.

ABSTRACT: Geography teaching has been problematized in recent years and new methodological approaches have been proposed in the light of overcoming traditional teaching methodologies. Aiming to fill a gap in the theory that involves the methodologies of geography teaching, this paper seeks to propose the use of film language to understand the concept of territory from the animation "The Lion King". Film language, added to the understanding of the concept of territory, presents itself as a possibility to the teaching of geography, as it is able to bring the conceptual - which often seems distant from the students - closer to concrete reality. Thus, it is believed that this proposal is capable of providing the development of skills and competences regarding this learning field, mainly because it allows the theoretical complexity of the concept territory to be unveiled from an interactive and pleasant language such as language. Even though it is easily accessible, it still has some obstacles in the field of education, especially with regard to planning difficulties. KEYWORD: Geography teaching. Territory. Didactics. Film language.
