ABSTRACT: The text is an expression of the reflections made from the invitation to give a lecture at the IX Scientific and Cultural Meeting (ENCCULT) in Maceió in August 2019. The theme “Education with diversity, society with sustainability” was divided into two parts, the first on the provocative issue of Education for Diversity, taking into account our challenging reality. The second part, transits from the perspective that within this challenging scenario, sustainability becomes a difficult goal to reach. At the end of the text, I question that sustainability is a little possible dream in this biased universe of commodification of hegemonizing politics and education, linked to it, but speaking of hope, I argue that the transgressive perspective of culture and education is a possible way through the strategies of communication with the other's world. To find the possibilities of strengthening counter-hegemony, we have the possible clues: in socially referenced science, in education of social responsibility, in the culture of recognition of diversity, in organizations and collective struggles, and in the consolidation of democracy. ABSTRACT: The debate about the territory was resumed with the great importance that it really deserves and is characterized as a study objective of Geography. For geographical science the territory theme has been highlighted not for its meaning, but for its relevance with the means of coexistence for human beings, besides being relevant to the identification of the territories of the different communities. Territory is not only linked to political power, it is also linked to symbolic power of appropriation. Prostitution is a social act of the excluded minority before society, without opportunity. The transvestites at dusk are seen in the streets of downtown Teresina for another night of work, and it's easy to spot the spaces they built over the years. What is the importance and the real reasons that led these professionals to choose these territories? KEYWORDS: Territory, Prostitution, Transvestites.

ABSTRACT: Schistosomiasis Mansoni is endemic in approximately 76 countries and it currently affects 8 million Brazilian posing a serious threat to our country health system and population. The parasite Schistosoma Mansoni has the Biomphalaria Mollusc as its intermediate host and their infected larvae, is responsible for transmitting the disease to the population when they are released in the water. People in contact with water infested by larvae are prone to catch this dangerous disease. Our study was conducted in three different areas of lagoon do Retiro, nearby the city of Junqueiro- Al, Brazil. Molluscs were collected with the help of a special sieve, then kept in plastic containers identified by the area and sent to the State University of Alagoas( Uneal) laboratory, in Campus 1. There they were isolated and studied in a petri dish containing 10 ml of dechlorinated water and exposed to a 40 W incandescent lamp. For the molluscs that did not promptly test positive for the Schistosoma Mansoni, the exposure was repeated in the space if 7, 15 and 30 days, in order to rule out the possibility of infection. Out of the 3 areas studied in 2018 one tested positive with a total of 8 infected molluscs. The study therefore proved the lagoon is not safe to swim, bathe, or have its water used by the population and the public heath departament should alert the local population about this danger and health risc. The objective of this study was to characterize the genetic diversity of a natural population Eugenia dysenterica DC, in southern Piauí, from the morphological characteristics of fruits and seeds. Seven phenotypic characteristics were evaluated for 200 fruits and the diversity of 10 adult individuals was estimated. Biometric data were analyzed using univariate statistics and deviations from normality of data were confirmed by the Lilliefors test, for use of non-parametric Spearman correlation. The genetic divergence between the individuals observed was based on the dendrogram, through the average euclidean distance matrix, which was obtained from the values of the biometric variables. Regarding the asymmetry, there was a left distribution for the variables: fruit weight, pulp and peel weight. The other variables presented positive values. The number of seeds per fruit and the weight of the pulp and peel showed a kurtosis measure smaller than the normal distribution, K <3. According to the dendrogram that evaluated the similarity between the individuals regarding biometric characteristics, there was greater similarity between individuals 1 and 3, with maximum dissimilarity between individuals 7 and 8. Most correlations between biometric variables were not significant, except between the weight of the fruit and the weight of the seed; fruit weight and pulp and peel weight; seed weight and seed number. The results obtained in this study were relevant, as they will serve as subsidies for studies related to pre-breeding and genetic conservation of the species.

Organic agriculture is an agricultural production activity that generates food of high nutritional quality and durability. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the practice and some aspects of the organic horticulture of the municipality of Arapiraca-AL. For this, 12 properties were visited in the localities of Cangandu and Pau D'arco, located in the rural area of the municipality. In the properties, semi-structured interviews were conducted to evaluate the profile of horticulturists and their practices of organic horticulture. It was found that 76% of the interviewees are between 30 and 50 years of age, while the youngest (between 20 and 29 years) and the oldest (over 50 years) represent 24% of the total horticulturists interviewed. As for schooling, 25% of horticulturists have never studied, 25% of the interviewees have completed high school, 33% have only the fundamental level (both complete and incomplete) and 17% have complete tertiary education. Regarding income, 83.3% of horticulturalists have only the production of organic vegetables as a source of income. As for the most cultivated vegetables, coriander (Coriadrum sativum L.) (28%) and lettuce (Lactuta sativa L.) (23%) stand out, although other vegetables are cultivated. In addition, it was noted that 91.6% of horticulturists usually use personal protective equipment, even when dealing with organic crops. The data obtained reflect the current trend, based on the discourse of healthy food consumption, where the importance of the practice of organic horticulture is based on the acquisition of quality of life, health and wellbeing of the population.

Maize is a plant belonging to the grasses family, or Poaceae, possessing the second place as the most produced cereal in the country in the year 2017. In this context, through the realization of this review, it was objected to highlight general and peculiar characteristics about maize cultivation. Bringing, in such a way, more knowledge to the rural and urban population about the potential of culture in the country. In the development of this study, researches of bibliographic nature were conducted, based on the databases of Scielo, Capes and Google scholar, published between the years 2010 to 2018. In the Constitution of this research, we used 44 national articles, 02 International articles, 01 monograph, 02 dissertations, 02 Theses, 01 folder and 02 newsletters. Through the development of this work it was possible to gather important characteristics for the culture, whether they are more general characteristics, popularly disseminated among farmers, as the most peculiar, but of fundamental importance to the Culture development. Thus, it was possible to gather in one work, themes that can help in the development of maize cultivation, increasing the productivity and viability of the crop. ABSTRACT: The edaphic mesofauna consists of organisms between 0.2 and 2.0 mm in length. Among its members are the mites (Acari) and collemboli (Collembola), the diversity of these microarthropods is related to soil type and its physical and chemical characteristics. The objective of this research was to record data about the density and richness of the soil mesofauna in a permanent preservation area in the Alagoano forest. For this survey the modified Berlese-Tullgren funnel was used. Ten soil samples were collected from 3 meters away from each other, the dominant group was Acarina with 107 specimens, followed by the Collembola group with 79 specimens, suggesting that the mites have greater adaptability to the studied environment. Coccinellids can exploit a wide variety of foods and other sources of nutrients to supplement their diet. The use of these secondary sources of food, is called an alternative diet. Some species are able to maintain their development and reproduction by feeding exclusively on an alternative diet, while the fecundity of others are compromised. One of the major sources of alternative food exploited by predator coccinellids is pollen. The aim of this research is test the hypothesis that pollen affects the fecundity of the B. foudrasii. A group of females were fed with nymphs and adults of F. dasylirii mealybug. A second groupe were feed with F. darsylirii along with pollen, and a third group was fed only pollen. All female beetles were observed for 10 days. The eggs were counted and the females were dissected, to access oocyte maturation. The results showed that only females fed with mealybugs oviposited. These females had an average of 18.9 mature oocytes. Females fed with the mix of mealybugs and pollen had an average of 17.4 mature oocytes. Females fed exclusively pollen had no mature oocytes. Our results suggest that pollen appeared to exert an inhibitory effect and oviposition behavior.

ABSTRACT: This work aims to determine the beef cuts and their low prices, dividing the front and back cuts. There are significant differences between these parts and the separate set of them. The consumer lives far from this reality and does not know of this difference. The character of the work is therefore descriptive and informative. The essay uses primary data with descriptive statistics and a convenience sample, thus not probabilistic. The results ensured a higher price for the first cuts a nd greater variation. Results explained throughout the text, as mention of back and front cuts. KEYWORDS: Bovine, Agricultural Economics, Prices.
