Resumen
ABSTRACT: The baobab is a tree of multipurpose and biological properties; being its roots, tubers, twigs, fruits, seeds, leaves and edible flowers and used as common ingredients in traditional dishes in Africa. The objective of this study was to evaluate the chemical scarification with sulfuric acid and caustic soda to overcome the integumentary dormancy in baobab seeds. The design was completely randomized in a 2 x 4 + 1 factorial scheme (chemical scarification: sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and caustic soda (NaOH) x immersion times: 2; 4; 6 and 8 hours + untreated seeds (control)). The efficacy of the treatments was evaluated by the emergence, speed index and mean time of emergence, stem diameter, length and dry mass of shoot and root system of normal seedlings. The results showed that the chemical scarification with caustic soda and sulfuric acid for the periods of 2; 4; 6 and 8 hours caused the tegument rupture of the seeds, which contributed to increase the emergence of baobab seedlings, however, the emergence of seedlings of the seeds scarified with caustic soda for 2 hours did not differ from the values of the seedlings from the untreated seeds. Caustic soda and sulfuric acid were efficient in overcoming the integumentary dormancy of baobab seeds, however, caustic soda is more indicated because it is easy to acquire and low cost.
KEYWORDS: Adansonia digitata, sulfuric acid, caustic soda, seedling development.

ABSTRACT: This work aims to report our experience with Oral History, developed in the Special Topic Course in History Teaching of the Master's program Prof.História at UFS. This experience had as its culminating point a research practiced in the Florestan Fernandes Settlement, located in Canindé de São Francisco-SE, for that purpose we made use of the Oral History Methodology, which offers innumerable possibilities, among them the one of giving voice to “little men”, so that from their experiences and worldviews, we can have an unofficial understanding of the most varied events. It is worth highlighting the importance of our interviewee, Mrs. Maria de Lourdes, whose rich testimony contributed a lot to the elucidation of different issues. It is worth noting that the article had as its guiding concepts the aforementioned Oral History, as well as Memory, Social Identity and Places of Memory.

ABSTRACT: This work presents fragments of the life story of a young man who was created in the middle of the northeastern caatinga, in a land settlement called Florestan Fernandes, located in Canindé de São Francisco - SE. Using the Oral History research methodology, which seeks to hear the voices of different subjects and reconstruct their memories, seeking to insert their life experiences in the official history. By listening to the young Geovanio Darlan, 22, engaged in social and economic development projects, aimed at the population of the settlements in this region, it was possible to understand how people's lives work in a space of land originated from the expropriation movement, such as the school, and more specifically the teaching of history, can and should be more incisive in contributing to the strengthening of the local identity and to the citizen formation of individuals.

Resumen
ABSTRACT: This article aimed to analyze the narratives of rural women from the sertão sergipano through the use of oral history as a research tool. To this end, interviews and bibliographic revision were carried out, as well as a selection of narratives that were collected by members of the Professional Master's Degree in History Teaching at the Federal University of Sergipe - UFS, in the semester of 2019.2. These narratives are intended to contribute to demystify the prejudices and stereotypes that surround the country woman, as well as to highlight the adversities of the daily life that these women need to face. In addition, an attempt was made to elaborate a work that can serve as a subsidy for history teachers when working with issues related to the life of the backcountry woman and to encourage the use of oral history as a source and research method.
