Un expediente de limpieza de sangre se redactó para ser presentado a nombre de doña Petrona Isabel Cálcena y Echeverría, perteneciente a una de las principales familias de la sociedad paraguaya y santafesina rioplatense. Su objetivo era ingresar al antiguo claustro de las hermanas dominicas del Convento Santa Catalina de Sena de Córdoba del Tucumán. Las pretendientes al claustro conocían que, de ser aceptadas, deberían renunciar a todo derecho en el siglo. No obstante, la recompensa se consideraba un tránsito hacia la perfección y santidad, en unión y oración permanente con Dios. Un estudio de caso puntual -el de la preindicada joven- se analiza con la documentación proveniente del mismo Convento de Córdoba, R.A., en un marco de bibliografía sobre la Primera Orden de Predicadores, la Segunda y la Tercera Orden.

El presente trabajo presenta una biografía del maestre de Montesa don Felipe de Aragón y Navarra (ca. 1455-1488). Hijo bastardo del príncipe de Viana, es un muy buen modelo de cómo los Trastámara aragoneses colocaron a su descendencia ilegítima a comienzos de la Edad Moderna. Dirigido a la Iglesia desde su juventud, obtuvo el arzobispado de Palermo en 1476, que sería cambiado en 1484 por el maestrazgo de Montesa. Su condición de eclesiástico no impidió que tomase parte en los grandes conflictos de su momento, encontrando la muerte en la Guerra de Granada. El estudio de su persona permite entender el funcionamiento de las relaciones de la Monarquía con la Iglesia, Roma, la corte y la propia familia real. 

En este Dossier se analiza la compleja tipología del concepto de la santidad femenina porque fueron, ciertamente, muy diversos los criterios por los cuales se postulaban determinadas mujeres para la beatificación y canonización. Se estudian diversos modelos referenciales de santidad: la martirial que implicaba una vida difícil con el final dramático del martirio (los casos de misiones en Asia) o con la proximidad al mismo (caso de Luisa de Carvajal); la interiorizada a través del recogimiento y las visiones (caso de Hipólita de Rocabertí y Martina de los Ángeles Arilla); la que premia la proyección pública asistencial (caso de las Terciarias Dominicas del Río de la Plata en el siglo XVIII) y, por último, la que significa el testimonio del sacrificio y la renuncia de privilegios elitistas (caso de Petrona Isabel de Cálcena y Echeverría de Córdoba del Tucumán, también del siglo XVIII). 

Este artículo analiza la dinámica de los martirios en Japón y Filipinas con la persecución de los misioneros católicos por parte del gobernador Hideyosi. Se insiste especialmente en la significación que tuvieron los dominicos Alfonso Navarrete y Domingo Castellet. El discurso misional de los dominicos se opuso siempre a la aceptación de los ritos paganos autóctonos y promocionó el papel de las cofradías como la del Santísimo Nombre de Jesús, con notable papel de las mujeres. Aún con las prevenciones dominicanas a las mujeres, no faltaron testimonios de mujeres mártires, como Lucía de Freitas o Magdalena de Nagasaki. El impacto de los martirios tuvo gran incidencia en Cataluña, lo que se refleja en la ansiedad que expone en sus escritos la dominica Hipólita de Jesús de Rocabertí, con el imaginario puesto en las experiencias martiriales que en el escenario asiático tuvieron las Órdenes religiosas. 

This research characterizes the body mass index (BMI) and Emotional Intelligence (EI), differentiated through emotional attention, clarity of feelings and repair of emotions, of a group of 120 schoolchildren from Basic Education in the Municipality of Soledad, Atlántico 11 years old. For the measurement of the variables, the values proposed for the measurement of the Body Mass Index (BMI) in Colombia have been used, as well as the Trait Meta-Mood Scale-24 questionnaire (TMMS24), validated for the Colombian population. The results of this work show infants with severe malnutrition, obesity and overweight inclined towards the difficulty to attend to their emotions, the repair of feelings and the understanding of their emotions. Therefore, it is pertinent to address this problem in the aforementioned institutions, since it may lead to infants suffering from anxiety, fear, and others, associated with bullying due to their body condition, which have affected their self-esteem and may reach be decisive for decision-making such as suicide.

The Sars-Cov-2 virus has inevitably caused the Covid-19 disease. It has been one of the worst news that has happened to humanity at the beginning of the 21st century. The material damage and loss of human life has been significant, as well as the collateral effects from the social and psychological point of view. In response to contain or counteract these high affectations, various areas of knowledge and human activity are activated, multiplying and creating new mitigation strategies. One of the areas that has contributed the most during the quarantine periods and after it, is the area of Physical Culture, sports and specifically the didactics of Physical Education. The aim of this work is to systematize a group of scientific publications referred to physical activity, sport and Physical Education in times of COVID, focused on the virtual environment and the use of ICTs. With this study, it is intended to carry out an analysis of the main positions of the authors in order to obtain a criterion about the potentialities of virtual Physical Education to face the COVID-19 attacks. Together with this periodization, a group of methodological recommendations will be added, aimed at perfecting the work of Physical Education teachers with the use of ICTs in these exceptional moments that humanity is going through.

The objective of this article is to analyze the citizenship competences in university students from the Uniminuto Main Campus, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports Degree, in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. For this, the survey pedagogical practices for the development of citizenship competences was applied. It consisted of 29 items that include the integrative skills (three items actions), communicative (nine items democratic environments), emotional (seven items emotions and empathy) and cognitive (three items critical thinking), with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.73 for the total scale. The incidental sample consisted of 264 students in the last semester. The methodology is quantitative in nature and descriptive in scope. SPSS software was used for the study. The statistical analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques. The main findings reflect that the critical thinking variables in the three items show low scores with respect to the arithmetic mean, while the variables of actions, emotions, empathy and environment show acceptable scores. It is concluded that the citizenship competences go beyond a simple citizen understanding and that they are part of an ethical, moral, professional and special character purpose that includes diverse views and ways of acting in this case in relation to the academic formation of the physical educator; this allows to form citizens with principles, values and sense of institutional belonging.
