Resumen
The research applies the reading strategies of Isabel Solé in fifth graders of the Educational Institution No. 146, Holiness Juan Pablo II - San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, to increase reading comprehension levels, (literal and inferential) We wanted to demonstrate the significant importance of Isabel Solé's strategies in the reading processes (before, during and after), of their application. The research process allowed us to systematically select the work groups (study group - control group). A pretest, a post test and ten readings were applied to the study group during the learning sessions, which served to increase the index of reading comprehension, considering the interest and need of the students. Taking into account the results obtained, it is manifested that there is difficulty in reading comprehension: at the inferential level, 94.3% of the students are at the Beginning level and 5.7% are at the In-Progress level; while, it is evident that no student shows outstanding levels. On the other hand, at the literal level, 25.7% of students were placed in the Outstanding Achievement level and 42.9% in the expected Achievement level.

Resumen
The traditional conception of higher education states that universities only train future professionals, no matter if they receive adequate preparation in scientific research, a fundamental activity in the construction of a society of knowledge. In this way, the purpose of this study was to find out the attitude towards research of high school graduates in the area of administration and psychology at a private university in Metropolitan Lima during 2018. In a quantitative and descriptive research, 152 high school graduates were evaluated by using the attitude scale for scientific research through a structured questionnaire and the application of the Likert´s scale. The results indicate that psychology students show a positive attitude towards scientific research, while administration graduates show a negative attitude to it, basically due to their academic training. Regarding the subscales towards scientific training, scientific interest and development of investigative capacities, the differences are also significant.

Resumen
The nation is a cultural construction of the eighteenth century. However, the identity of modern nations has its origin in the older imaginary. This study aims to describe the relevance of religious discourse in the formation of the Ecuadorian nation. Through discourse analysis, this article details the case of Santa Mariana de Jesús in Quito. It compares it with two other cases of Latin American cities, whose protonation identity was formed in the vice-regal stage. Which was based on a local religious cult, for example, Mexico and the Virgin from Guadalupe, Lima, and Santa Rosa. The study concludes that the origins of the modern nation are in the Christianized culture of the Middle Ages and that the modern Latin American nation is based on an imaginary fueled by religious discourse with strong political implications.

The present study has as a general objective to explore the Mayan identities during pre-Hispanic times from a current perspective. From this general objective, two particular objectives give rise to this research: 1) Study it differently compared to traditional anthropology, the issue of identity and the person in archeology. 2) Understand how the Mayan ruling elite built their identities and personalities. The methodological process that was followed for the preparation of the present study was the following: theoretical contrast of the personhood concept, compared to other categories such as individual identity and person, search for indicators from different disciplinary resources, cross-disciplinary interdisciplinary information. The empirical information used comes from mortuary contexts, spaces and tombstones, all of them studied from archeology; fundamental part were the epithets studied from epigraphy, as well as symbols and representations comprised from iconography. This whole process resulted in understanding how the Mayan rulers of the Classic period (300-900 AD) built their identities and personalities, specifically in cities such as Calakmul, Ekbalam, Yaxchilan, Copan and Oxtancah.

Resumen
This article refers to the importance of the growth of educational demand internationally and the learning factors in modern educational models that present new paradigms, where Distance Education (DE) emerges as an essential response for universities that must guarantee relevance in education. Quantitative diagnosis of distance training evaluation is presented, with an experimental design about the technological pedagogical dimensions as a set of independent variables that integrate the perspectives and methodology of computer-assisted teaching in the detection of educational needs for learning student online as a response variable. A sample of n = 288 people made up of various educational actors is required. Based on the obtained findings, multiple linear regression analysis and factor approximation of principal components were performed. The study related to the observation of the conduct of distance learning practices, concerning student learning, requires a set of different variables, compared to teaching in the classroom. The digital platform, as support for practices, is one of the main elements that directly impact the management of this type of education.

Resumen
A cyberattack is an attempt to get unauthorized access, expose, alter, disable, steal or make unauthorized use of information. Over the years, cyberattacks are becoming more frequent, considering that Ecuadorian authorities claimed they had received over 40 million cyberattacks such as denial-of-service (DOS) during a week, in April 2019. The objective of this research work is to assess to what extent Ecuadorians are prepared for a cyberattack focused on Millennials, who attend private universities and maintain a high socioeconomic status, due to they are more likely to be targeted by hackers. This study shows the level of importance that Millennial university students give to their private information. A quantitative study was applied to measure the objective mentioned before and was aimed at 103 university students in Samborondón, Ecuador. The obtained results showed that although the sample population takes some security measures to protect their information, there exist vulnerable aspects that can be used by hackers to obtain unauthorized access.

Resumen
There are two ways of understanding the corporate culture: as a resource within marketing strategies, or as an expression of the way of being of an organization, which sets, not only the positioning of its image among stakeholders or public but also the generation of leaderships, through which the organization influences public policies in a locality or country. This research is situated in the second viewpoint. In other words, this investigation identifies the aspects characterizing the corporate culture of the Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi and how they determine the generation of local leaderships. It also explores the bonds with the corporate culture in the university context. Moreover, it describes the most relevant aspects of it inside the institution and analyzes experiences in the leadership formation among teachers, employees, and workers. Besides, it uses a qualitative approach and the descriptive method, which consists of focus group techniques and in-depth interviews. The presence of counter-hegemonic discourses, obtained as an outcome, is marked by certain myths, characterized in three categories: the humanistic sense in its interrelations and practices, the exercise of criticism as a political identity, and the institutional unit as an attitude of self-defense.
