Present and future generations have a great concern about environmental issues such as the increase of contamination of natural resources and the loss of plant and animal life on earth due to excessive waste and its poor management, poor production practices and consumption habits. As a result of this concern, the main purpose of this research was to present the strategies and the framework that constitute the circular economy (CE) and to consider its application in Latin America. The methodology included a literature review using Scopus and Dialnet databases, applying the key terms “Circular Economy” and “Latin America”, the selection criteria were based on language, number of citations and publication date, which resulted in a statistical sample of 62 articles and reports. After completing the literature review of CE principal concepts, implementation strategies throughout different economic levels, opportunities and disadvantages for use, the researcher was able to see the potential for a global change in the economic system. Because there are clear differences in the application of a circular economy in different regions, the researcher found that an investigation into the socio-economic conditions of any particular region would be necessary before implementing a circular business model. The researcher found that in Latin America a circular economy with a focus on regenerative agriculture and a waste management sector with a waste-to-energy focus provided a high potential for success.

The present investigation analyzes the different strategies of electronic commerce that can be implemented in the Dimatex company. The type of research had a qualitative approach, that is, information was collected on the textile sector and the importance of e-commerce through the years The method used was a case study, that is, the process by which the company Dimatex has passed in its years in the market was analyzed, and we also analyzed the benefits that the implementation of e-commerce could provide to the company; subsequently, different strategies and keys of e-commerce. The scope of this project is proactive and analytical, because with the information that was collected a specific proposal was made and why these strategies were sought by analyzing the different variables, looking for relate those strategies that best suit Dimatex. 8 e-commerce strategies in the textile sector were evidenced to carry out their activities, strategies such as website creation, use of SEM (search engine marketing), SEO (search engine optimization) and SMO (social media optimization) techniques, affiliate marketing, the constant use of social networks, e-mail marketing and finally the business blog. The result of the investigation allowed to identify that, for Dimatex, the right strategies to implement are the business blog, the creation of the website and the constant use of social networks.

The objective is to apply an open corporate system model for the control of administrative accounting and the strategic management of income to avoid risks in the network of authorization or financing promoters that it offers SACSA Corporate. With a qualitative methodology, exploratory and descriptive, the case study method was used and the open corporate-operative system model was applied, to identify the driving and constraining forces of the organization's strategic management of sales and profits, which was complemented with the method of systematic analysis of scientific literature in correspondence to the administrative and strategic control of the companies. The findings reveal that the model allows optimizing the management of income and profit control, documenting the process in accounting and financial information reports through the open corporate system with operational and informative characteristics of administrative accounting, which must be closely linked to the technological development systems and human resource training systems. With its implementation, the operationalization of accounting and administrative information is improved, which allows the redefinition of responsibilities and functions of the personnel, in addition to promoting the creation of innovative strategies based on certification, aimed at factors involved in the sales process to obtain greater benefits and to improve the profitability of the company.

Based on the actions carried out by the "Los Passaos: Emprenden con Historia" project, the objective is to perform a diagnosis of the commercial image in order to evaluate the elements that make up the brand in the businesses located in the Leónidas Plaza parish. The study focuses on a quantitative and exploratory-descriptive approach, and the sample consists of 389 businesses selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Among the most representative results, it was found that the large format printing was recognized as "adequate" by 50 % of the respondents, as well as the internal signage, reflected by 31.6 % of those surveyed. However, the corporate identity of the workers was recognized as "inadequate" by 36.8 % of the total number of evaluated locations, denoting a deficiency in these three elements. The Cronbach's alpha of 0.847 recognizes a very good reliability of the instrument. It is concluded that innovation is necessary in the development of the commercial image to create better visual expectations for customers. It is recommended to continue working at the management level to achieve better projection, business focus, and visual communication at the consumer level.

An analysis of the internal control of maintenance expenses was conducted in an educational institution, using a quantitative and descriptive non-experimental design approach, with a cross-sectional type. A convenience non-probabilistic sample was selected, composed of workers from administrative areas. Literature from authors such as Álvarez-Sanango et al. (2020), Bakhtigozina et al. (2018), Bermeo-Giraldo et al. (2021), Carrillo et al. (2021), and Cevallos Villegas et al. (2018), among others, was consulted. A survey was used and a Likert scale form was applied, with 29 printed items, in a face-to-face interview. The results showed that 76.85 % of the workers reported a stable and secure organizational culture, with practices based on ethical values, effective communication, and a clear assignment of responsibilities, which favored a good organizational climate. Additionally, it was possible to identify how risk management was being carried out in 76.04 %, with clear and transparent goals that allowed analyzing the probability of fraud and taking necessary measures to mitigate risks. Finally, 79.77 % of the workers stated that the institution continuously supervised and monitored processes, activities, and tasks to achieve objectives. In conclusion, efforts were made to improve internal control, which will greatly contribute to a correct and adequate distribution of maintenance expenses.

Sustainability makes it possible to understand that the human being is facing a world with exhaustible resources and limited needs, with a population in constant growth and with economic progress based on obsolete technologies that generate a huge energy consumption, apart from billions of tons of wastes added to the ecosystem. These factors unleash catastrophic climatic consequences that have put the “world” on alert when is understood that there is a limit of planetary support capacity and that we are approaching the collapse of the ecosystem and endangering future generations, in addition to undermining the quality of life of all living beings because they exceed the capacity for natural balance of the ecosystems that support it. The increase in poverty, the overproduction of waste, the enormous North-South differences, the desertification and climate change are some of the main factors that human beings must face with great urgency. Regarding this last factor, it should be noted that today it has become a problem of multidimensional proportions that involves governments, organizations and entire societies with the aim of reducing its catastrophic global consequences and has been categorized as one of the greatest challenges of the world in the 21st century. Damage to the environment is becoming an issue that has received greater interest and attention over the years. Therefore, it is necessary a construct that includes ecological and development perspectives, that is, Sustainable Development. Under this context, this article aims to analyse in detail this concept, its origins and evolution, as well as its dimensions, to also establish its link with climate change, both inseparable factors.

Introducción: los riñones mantienen un equilibrio adecuado de líquidos en el cuerpo, remueven los residuos y eliminan las toxinas de la sangre. El catéter ureteral se utiliza cuando existe obstrucción para abrir el uréter y permitir el paso de orina del riñón a la vejiga.Objetivo: presentar la situación clínica de una paciente a la cual se le insertó un catéter doble J izquierdo y que a consecuencia de la COVID-19 presentó complicaciones.Presentación del caso: paciente femenina de 37 años con antecedentes de expulsión habitual de litiasis; ha sido operada en varias ocasiones de litiasis del riñón derecho. Se le inserta catéter doble J izquierdo por estenosis de la unión ureteropiélica. Durante la pandemia no fue posible el cambio del catéter en el tiempo establecido, ni su extracción por vía endoscópica. Por lo cual se planificó el procedimiento por vía abierta y tampoco pudo realizarse. La paciente acude ocho meses después con un cuadro de cólico nefrítico e insuficiencia renal aguda. Se realiza operación de urgencia. Se dejó nefrostomía y catéter ureteral simple a través del orificio, que fueron retirados al mes. Los resultados y la evolución fueron satisfactorios.Conclusiones: luego de intervención quirúrgica de urgencia por el catéter doble J calcificado y fragmentado en riñón obstruido, la paciente tuvo una evolución favorable con seguimiento en consulta con ultrasonido renal y exámenes de química sanguínea, con resultados normales

Introduction: unicystic ameloblastoma presents particular morphological pictures, and its recurrence is lower compared to conservative therapy.Objective: to present a case of unicystic ameloblastoma in the maxillary.Case presentation: a 41-year-old male patient with a history of epilepsy. He presented discomfort and increased volume in the right anterior maxillary region, and went to the dentist. In the simple periapical intraoral radiography, a radiolucent, rounded image was observed, with precise limits between the right upper lateral incisor (12) and the right upper canine (13), for which the affected person was referred to a secondary health care center. For the exceresis of the cystic process and the tooth involved, general nasotracheal anesthesia was applied and an intraoral approach was carried out. The histopathological study of the lesion revealed a unicystic ameloblastoma.Conclusions: the completion of the necessary complementary studies, and the opportune surgical intervention allowed the favorable evolution of the patient's condition after the operation. The histopathological analysis of the surgical specimen revealed an odontogenic tumor that, if not treated in time, has a high degree of recurrence

Introducción: el alcohol es una droga de consumo legal; sin embargo, es uno de los problemas de salud más importantes en el mundo, sobre todo en adolescentes y jóvenes.Objetivo: caracterizar el consumo de alcohol en adolescentes pertenecientes a una comunidad rural de la provincia de Ciego de Ávila.Métodos: se realizó un estudio transversal en diciembre de 2019 en adolescentes de la comunidad “El Yarual” del municipio Bolivia en Ciego de Ávila. Se trabajó con los 85 adolescentes que cumplieron con los criterios selectivos. Se utilizó la historia clínica, una encuesta y la prueba de funcionamiento familiar (FF-SIL). Se cumplieron los principios éticos.Resultados: la mayoría eran consumidores de riesgo (37,65 %) y sociales (24,71 %). Predominó grupo de 15 y 16 años (36,47 %), el sexo masculino (62,35 %), el nivel secundario (70,59 %) y la condición socioeconómica regular y mala (41,18 %). Solo (36,50 %) tenía vínculo estudiantil/laboral estable. La mayoría de familias eran moderadamente funcionales (45,88 %) y disfuncionales (25,88 %). Más de la mitad mostraron niveles bajo (42,35 %) y medio (25,35 %) de conocimientos. Entre consumidores y dependientes, predominó la falta de lugares recreativos y deportivos como motivantes (32,35 %) y el entorno social inadecuado como causa (70,59 %), con un mayor consumo los fines de semana (51,47 %, p<0,003).Conclusiones: el consumo de riesgo y social de alcohol en adolescentes de la comunidad representó un problema de salud. Los resultados aportan evidencias para la toma de decisiones sanitarias y para estudios posteriores
