Resumen
Objective: Check that machine learning is transforming the way that large companies have relationships with their customers, the design of their products and the management of human resources. The above as a result of a digital transformation that will consequently generate competitive advantages for companies that can quickly adapt their business strategies to the latest technological developments. However, it is proving that SMEs slowly embrace technological innovations, thus assuming a risk of losing the opportunities that Machine Learning offers them. Results y Conclusions: Identify and describe the opportunities that Machine Learning offers to SMEs, relating the dimensions of business and technology. First, a literature review is developed. Then, describe in detail the different perspectives in which the adoption of an improved decision-making process will lead to an improvement in organizational performance. Finally, recommendations are given for the development of specific decision-making processes in Machine Learning.

Resumen
Objective: To determine the quality of lighting and strategies for its improvement in classrooms at a higher education institution. Methodology: The study was descriptive. Measurements of the lighting in the classrooms and the uniformity of the lighting were conducted. In addition, glare index, general color performance index, and nominal color temperature for each lamp were assessed. Environmental or illuminance measurements were conducted with an Extech luxmeter in a total of 15 classrooms for three workdays at the institution. Results: The illumination in the morning and afternoon meets the standards in most classrooms. In contrast, in the evening, none of them meets the ISO 8995 standard. Besides, in the morning and afternoon, there are classrooms with excessive levels of lighting and in the evening, with levels far below the appropriate ones. Most classrooms analyzed in the three workdays did not meet the standard; there is no annoying glare, and also some lamps do not meet the appropriate color performance and the required colorimetric temperature. Conclusions: There are classrooms that did not meet illumination standards and uniformity in the three workdays. It is highlighted that there is a classroom that does not comply with three parameters: illumination, uniformity, and color performance. This can affect work performance and cause discomfort and eye disorders.

Resumen
Objective: This work assesses the influence of Mn+2 and Cu+2 ions in eight formulations of different solid media (F1–F8) for the production of laccase (LAC), manganese peroxidase (MnP), and endo 1,4 β-D-xylanase (ENX) from Trametes Versicolor. Methodology: The production media were formulated using lignocellulosic waste, two calcium carbonate levels, manganese sulfate (II), and copper sulfate (II). These formulations were inoculated at 4% (w/w) with Trametes versicolor and incubated for 17 days, during which time biomass, reducing sugar production, and hemicellulose and lignin degradation were assessed. Then, a four-way multifactorial experimental design was applied to determine LAC, MnP, and ENX activity. Results: The best LAC enzymatic titers were produced by the F5 and F8 media, with activities of 11.96 and 8.36 U/g dry solid (DS), respectively. For MnP, the F8 medium exhibited the highest enzymatic activity at 1.32 U/g DS. The maximum ENX activity was reported by F1 at 2.63 U/g DS. In addition, the F7 medium evidenced the highest lignin (42.5%) and hemicellulose (32.5%) degradation compared with all other media. Finally, a mathematical model was proposed for fungal biomass production, LAC and MnP activities, and substrate consumption. Conclusions: Adding CuSO4 at 0.16% and MnSO4 at 0.1% favored LAC and MnP production from Trametes versicolor, respectively. The selected culture conditions facilitated LAC and ENX to be synthesized at a high rate. In addition, the proposed mathematical model adequately describes the solid-state fermentation process from Trametes versicolor.

Resumen
Objective: To determine the use of the andesite from the Guatapurí Formation in the ceramic industry. Methodology: Fifteen samples were taken at random, and X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), mechanical, and petrographic tests were conducted to determine the quality of the rock and its composition. Results: It was determined that the andesite is composed of plagioclases, feldspars, quartz in smaller proportion, and secondary minerals such as biotite, hornblende, sanidine, and augite. Geochemical tests showed average concentrations of silica (SiO2) at 57.7 wt%, followed by aluminum oxide (Al2O3) at 17.02 wt%, ferrous oxide (Fe2O3) at 6.32 wt%, and potassium oxide (K2O) at 4.76 wt%. The crystalline phases constituting the samples revealed the presence of quartz, feldspar, and cristobalite in greater amount. Mechanical tests revealed that it has a density of 2.64 gr/cm3, resistance to the mechanics of flexion = 30 MPa, resistance to the compression = 172 MPa, wear resistance of 12.61%, and absorption coefficient of 0.22%. Conclusions: The quality analysis of the andesite via petrographic, geochemical, and mechanical examination shows that it complies with the parameters required for ceramic use in tile manufacture, as established in standards ISO 13006 and 10545.

Resumen
Objective: Conduct a comparative study of the clarification process of a natural wetland using two coagulants, aluminum sulfate and potato peel (Solanum tuberosum L). Methodology: Initially, the agroindustrial waste was collected from different fast-food establishments and restaurants in the city of Barranquilla, where it is usually discarded. Potato peel is washed, dried and ground. The powder obtained was screened and packed tightly in a glass jar to be used as a coagulant. Aluminum sulfate was obtained commercially. Water samples are collected from the Cienaga de Malambo by simple sampling. To remove its turbidity, a jug test was performed that simulated the coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation processes, taking as a reference the parameters established in NTC 3903 of 2010, using each coagulant. Results: The water under study had an initial turbidity of 59.60 UNT. The greatest removal of this parameter was obtained with a dose of 40 mg / L aluminum sulfate (92.51%); while the natural coagulant removed 81.32% when using a dose of 10 mg / L. Conclusions: It was determined that the doses of coagulants, aluminum sulfate and potato peel, used in this investigation influenced the turbidity of the water of the swamp, impulse to the study and use of the potato peel as a viable alternative in the treatment of water.

Resumen
Objective: To analyze the technological transfer for clean production in the mining of alluvial materials in La Guajira, Colombia. Methodology: The research was descriptive, with a non-experimental, transectional and field design. The population was made up of three companies: Agregados Río Negro, Valores y Contratos S.A. “Valorcon S.A.” and La Macuira Inversiones y Construcciones S.A, which make up the alluvial materials mining sector in La Guajira. For the data collection, the survey was used as a technique, using as an instrument aimed at the informants, with closed questions and five response alternatives, consisting of 49 items. The criterion validity was applied with experts, then the reliability calculation was made through Cronbach's alpha coefficient, obtaining a value of 0.90. Results: It was found that most of the population makes the transfer directly with the technology provider, that is, only one receiver is involved and who provides, the population studied sometimes attends fairs and congresses to obtain information on new technologies, and Among the barriers, it is noted that a large part of the population does not use adequate technologies for clean production. Conclusions: The transfer of technology in the companies studied was framed by the lack of technologies that lead to clean production, the competitive factor of technology and increased quality of projects.
