The main objective of this work is to carry out a first analysis of the performance of the revolving credit fund program for entrepreneurs in the southwestern region of Buenos Aires, between 2015 and 2019. In search of this, an institutional analysis of the funds is carried out, various hypotheses are suggested and descriptive statistics are use in addition to a probit-type econometric model, seeking to verify or not them. For this, two databases were created. One based on interviews with the different secretaries of production of the municipalities that participate in the program, in order to know the framework of action of the program, its scope, its limitations, among other parameters that consolidate the identity of the program. The second databases contain 497 credit operations, detailing amounts, interest rates, execution modality, among other determinants. The revolving funds program is an experience with great potential for the development of regional economies, which, when well executed, can be consolidated as a big push for local productive activities.

The fashion industry is one of the industries that generates the greatest environmental pollution and unfair working conditions. The general objective of this work was to study the decision-making process of actors and organizational leaders in the fashion industry in order to describe the process of generating sustainable enterprises and the role that incentives from the market, government and institutions have about this problem. In particular, the objectives were: to determine the intrinsic motivation mechanisms or incentives that drive sustainable business models in this industry; characterize consumer perception and describe their priorities when choosing sustainable fashion products; and finally, explore assistance measures and programs from the government and other organizations. With a mixed methodological approach, a field study was carried out that included three data collection instruments: a survey of 321 consumers, and seven in-depth interviews with key referents, including on the one hand three emblematic businessmen and on the other, four leaders of supporting institutions. The results showed that these enterprises were founded by intrinsic motivations of entrepreneurs given by environmental values and close experiences with the communities. Institutions promote ventures by providing technical advice and favoring access to commercial channels. The market for fashion values compliance with sustainable policies and fair employment, and the main sustainable consumption driver was the communication of product specifications.

In this paper we propose to evaluate the impact attributable to the Sectoral Funds for High Technology (FSAT) program of the National Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology (ANPCyT) of Argentina. In particular, we want to determine whether the performance of the private companies that integrated the beneficiary public-private associative consortia improved thanks to the program, in relation to the performance they would have shown if they had received support in individual innovation projects. For this purpose, we will implement a quantitative approach based on the application of impactevaluation techniques. The results show that there are positive impacts on the trajectory of the companies that accessed the FSAT program. On the one hand, the evidence showed that the growth in spending per employee on innovation activities was higher thanks to FSAT. On the other hand, the growth in employment and total sales was more intense thanks to the program.

This research experience presentation aims to analyze and describe the continued management in the administration of waste from health services in a clinical analysis laboratory, how an adequate management of solid waste impacts on the finances of a small clinical analysis laboratory. As a methodology, a case study was used. For data collection, direct observations were made at the company, application of semi-structured interviews with the two business partners. Data triangulation was performed based on the analysis of documents related to the waste treatment management plan, provided by thelaboratory and direct observation. Based on the evaluations carried out, it was concluded that, due to the low volume of production of infected waste, the financial impact for the laboratory is low or insignificant, although from an environmental point of view, all contamination must be avoided, even if its volume and impact are small.

Gerbode Defect (GD) is a rare congenital heart disease that mainly affects the upper portion of the membranous septum, generating a shunt between the left ventricle and the right atrium. Even though most cases are congenital, it has also been reported acquired cases due to cardiac surgery, infective endocarditis, acute ischemic heart disease, and invasive percutaneous procedures. The diagnostic workup includes the clinical evaluation and the echocardiographic study. Here, we present the case of a 43-year-old adult patient with an incidental finding of a congenital GD in the context of acute appendicitis. Imaging plays a role in the diagnostic workup of congenital diseases; in this case, it allowed us to identify more details and the decision- making for our patient.

Median sternotomy is the Gold Standard access for surgical revascularization of the myocardium, but it is not free of complications, especially in patients with multiple comorbidities. Minimally invasive access offers the advantage of avoiding sternotomy, achieving a more accelerated postoperative recovery, with less hospital stay time and a higher level of satisfaction with quality of life. We present the case of a 49-year-old male patient, diabetic, hypertensive, smoker, with multiarterial coronary artery disease, very symptomatic, who underwent surgical revascularization by left mini-thoracotomy.

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection was associated with increased morbidity and mortality, predominantly for opportunistic infections, before using antiretroviral therapy. With this, patients have experienced increased survival and cardiovascular compromise too. The etiology of these clinical conditions could be related to the infection itself, adverse events associated with antiretroviral therapy, or adverse events produced by the combination with other drugs. Some of these conditions have an acute onset, and their rapid recognition is vital for a better prognosis.

We present the case of a 56-year-old male patient with a history of atrial flutter for six months; he was admitted to the hospital for presenting a mass of 8 cm in maximum diameter in the right atrium, which prolapsed through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. Emergency surgery was scheduled, performing exeresis of the tumor and tricuspid annuloplasty. The Pathological anatomy determined that the removed mass corresponded to a cardiac lipoma.

Objective. Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) programs based on telehealth are an alternative in the context of a pandemic and represent an opportunity to continue in the intervention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The present study aims to evaluate the effect of a Cardiac Tele-Rehabilitation (CTR) program on quality of life, anxiety/depression index, exercise safety and Level Of disease awareness in patients discharged from a national referral institute in times of pandemic. Methods. A pre-experimental study in cardiac patients who entered the cardiac rehabilitation program at INCOR from August to December 2020. The study included low-risk patients who were administered a questionnaire (on cardiovascular disease, exercise safety, anxiety/depression, and quality of life) at the beginning and end of the program, which was applied through a virtual platform. Descriptive and comparative before-after analysis was used through hypothesis testing. Results. Sixty-four patients were included (71.9% male). The mean age was 63.6 ±11.1 years. Regarding exercise safety, an increase in the mean score was found after the application of the program (3.06 ± 0.8 to 3.18 ± 0.7, p=0.324). Concerning anxiety, the mean score was reduced from 8.61 to 4.75, while for depression, the reduction was from 7.27 to 2.92. Regarding the quality-of-life score, the global component improved from 111.48 to 127.92. Conclusions. The CTR program implemented through a virtual platform during the COVID-19 pandemic enhanced quality of life and decreased stress and depression in cardiac patients discharged from a national cardiovascular referral center.
