Resumen
This article examines Francesca Woodman and Rebecca Horn’s oeuvre, establishingconnections between their work, their work and their biographies, their artworks and their selves. In their art practices, they create prison-like and claustrophobic environments that reflect their inner selves, their traumas and their anxieties. Through the embodiment of space, they portray themselves, thus, blurring the limits between inner self and outer world, between body and space. By closely analysing their work and their lives, this article sets forth the idea that their work can be read as a dynamic and visual autobiography, as kinetic and psychological self-portraits of these two female artists.

Resumen
It is paradoxical that Andy Warhol, one of the artists after the middle XX century who has pay more attention to the images power, painted a large group of monochrome canvases. This article offers an interpretation of these singular works and their compositions in polyptychs, starting from the paradigmatic "Before and after" (1962) and focusing on the series realized between 1963 and 1964 with silver painting. To that end, we take as reference the artist's own reflections about the concepts of beauty and her own image.

Resumen
The purpose of this article is to question the feasibility of considering liberal democracy as the pinnacle of human ideology. Resumen
Starting from the myths of Apollo and Dionysius and the aesthetic attributes of Nietzsche, given to the deities in the The Birth of Tragedy, some connections were found between the Apollonian and Dionysian, the anima and animus of Jung and the ying and yang of Tao Te Ching. The link points of the Apollonian and Dionysian, the Anima and Animus and the Ying and Yang will serve as aesthetical attributes for the purpose of forming a better psycho-aesthetical and metaphysical understanding of the figure of the Artist and their artworks.

Resumen
Expressionism is a universal movement that can be placed in different contexts throughout art history, but it can’t be merely reduced to an Avant-garde movement. This paper seeks to show how this reality can flourish in any age and in any place, in which can be found similar features. To achieve this goal, I will perform a comparative analysis of the German Expressionism and the Latin American Modern Art: similarities between them, the aesthetics and the purpose of art itself. The main focuses of this work are Käthe Kollwitz, George Grosz and Otto Dix, German artists, and, as the paradigm of this movement in the Latin American ambit, the Ecuadorian artist Oswaldo Guayasamín.

Resumen
The Exhibition Society of Traveling Art, also called "The Travelers" or "The Wanderers" was formed in Moscow in 1870 as a group of artists seeking to deny the academic standards of the School of Fine Arts of St. Petersburg, claiming social freedom to the detriment of artistic freedom. The present study analyzes the artistic transgression exercised by different painters in the social context of prerevolutionary Russia and what was its repercussion on the aesthetic theory of the moment.
