The purpose of the present essay is to analyze a literary text such as Colección particular, published by the Chilean writer Gonzalo Eltetsch (1981) in 2018, with the aim of: a) studying the relationship established between the autofictional writing and the processes of subjective remembrance; b) analyze in what way the remembrance in a partially or totally autofictional text leads the author to recreate in the text the geosocial and cultural conditions of a certain historical period; c) confirm a common feature in contemporary literature, reflected in the writer's arbitrary choice to include or exclude from history figures belonging to his referential space, and see how this decision causes the emergence of “ghostly existences”, that is, figures present in the daily and subjective intimacy of the creator, but banished from the textual plane.

Resumen
This paper aims to analyse the participation of Afro-Cubans in the armed struggle for the decolonization of Africa. Indeed, after the triumph of the Revolution in 1959, protected by the Internationalism and the Marxism, and under the command of Ernesto Che Guevara, Cuba breaks out a campaign of liberation in Africa in which, the afrodescendants, at the forefront of the armies, will play an important role. In this way, this article analyses the reasons of the select participation of blacks Cubans. It starts with the blood relation between Cuba and Africa, then studies the reasons of the sending of afrodescendant’s combatants and the great protagonists of these campaigns and finishes with the impact of these struggles in the relationship between both peoples.

Resumen
The pilgrimage in honour to the Lord of Quyllurit'i, one of the biggest celebrations taking place in the southern Peruvian Andes, attracts several thousand people every year. At 4700 meters above sea level, pilgrims reach a shrine located in a place already considered sacred in pre-Columbian times, to pay homage to the representation of Christ on the Cross, which is painted on a rock and which, according to Catholic legend, appeared to a shepherd in 1780. The dominant interpretative models propose to explain this pilgrimage as a syncretic phenomenon, an assimilation of Catholic doctrine into the practices of the Andean communities or a structural transformation that would make it possible to preserve an original pre-Christian system. By means of an itinerant ethnography of the pilgrims of the community of Hatun Q'ero, this article aims to show how the primary objective of pilgrimage is the maintenance of communication and connection between human beings, sacred places and deities, the status of the latter not being reduced to the Catholic register. Keywords: itinerant ethnography; pilgrimage; Lord of Quyllurit'i; Cuzco; Q'eros

Resumen
Through the analysis of the role of shamanic practices in José María Arguedas’ \textit{El zorro de arriba y el zorro de abajo} and César Calvo’s Las tres mitades de Ino Moxo, this essay explores a possible alternative way of producing mestizo identities that is neither part of nor a result of the Western intellectual tradition but is instead supported by an indigenous knowledge system. Fueled by the fluidity Shamanism offers to its practitioners (a potential to become another being/entity, and to be located in a liminal space where one may dwell in a foreign epistemological horizon without leaving his own) as well as by the Andean and Amazonian indigenous belief that the spirit is common to human and non-human, the mestizo identity-making machines in these novels show the stealth ways that indigenous people produce a mestizaje that works as a tool of cultural resistance. For instance, in Arguedas’s work, the characters Loco Moncada and the Peace Corps member Maxwell are affected by shamanic practices that create cracks in the Western intellectual tradition and foster dialogue across different cultural realms. In turn, these characters acknowledge that there is a logic behind statements considered irrational within Western cultural epistemology. In Calvo’s work we see similar shamanic movements. Ino Moxo and the jíbaros, while making their shrunken heads, reveal Amazonian Indigenous ways of negotiating with otherness, even if that Other is a Western subject driven by violence that aims to suppress and transform everything that is different from him.

Resumen
For the Toba people (Qom), an indigenous group of the Argentinean Chaco, the world is composed of a great diversity of entities (human and non-human) that communicate with one another. The ability of communication is rooted in a so distant past. In this paper, we will focus on some stories we were told by elders of Central Chaco. These stories refer to key moments of the conquest, colonization, and current indigenous claims. We are interested in the articulation between historicity and ontology, by showing the reconstruction that the Qom people make of their past is rooted in the idea that society and human history cannot be understood aside from some non-human agencies.

Resumen
On tracing the radical revisionism of American Studies’ cultural and methodological paradigms, this intervention will specifically investigate the multicultural and transnational turn of the field, whose material and conceptual boundaries have been increasingly confronting other extra-national literary traditions, such as those from the Indian subcontinent. The relationship between the USA and the postcolonial diasporas from India and Pakistan resounds with the political and intellectual Asian American experience of the Sixties and the Seventies, and configures a literary space that simultaneously addresses the migratory flows from many South Asian countries in the last decades of the previous century, as well as globalization’s challenges: citing works by first and second generation South Asian American writers such as Amitav Ghosh, Bharati Mukherjee and Jhumpa Lahiri, I will highlight the complex intercultural dialogue that these authors entertain with multiple linguistic and national collectivities.
