This production is part of the Research and Development Project "Professional interventions and construction of subjectivity: the case of shelters for women victims of violence in Entre Ríos from a gender perspective", which we are carrying out at the Social Work Faculty of the National University of Entre Ríos (UNER). As an introduction, we have made a general characterization of the study and specified the stage it has reached. Within this framework, we appeal to inputs generated in our research process, with a view to dimensioning certain feminist contributions with respect to the interpretative frameworks for considering and addressing violence against women. We first develop some considerations on the process of decentralization of this violence as a private issue and the role played by the feminist movement in its configuration as a social problem. We report on different international precedents in this line of argument, later entering into the feminisms of the South and in times of democratic restitution. We address the Optional Protocol to the Convention on all forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and "Not one less" as significant milestones in the Argentine spectrum, ending with some brief reflections on violence against women as a real syndrome and on the role of the feminist movement as a driving force behind other interpretative frameworks.

This article aims to socialize and reflect on the pedagogical proposal of the pre-professional intervention subject, located in the fifth year of the degree in social work at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FCS) of the National University of Córdoba (UNC). In the first place, we propose to look at social work from the perspective of the critical social sciences, as a necessary key for thinking about situated pedagogical processes and pre-professional training practices. Secondly, we highlight the trajectories, profiles and interests of the students and we reflect on the relevance of the figure of institutional benchmark in academic practices of pre-professional intervention. Finally, we point out implications, learning and challenges at this time of final degree training, from our place as teachers, researchers and workers of a national and public university.

The right of access to travestities and trans women health in Argentina is covered by legislation such as National Law 26,743, but it is in the institutional dimension that, on a daily basis, some medical staff struggle to deploy intersectional strategies, resorting to the policy of Friendly Clinics. In some institutions, such as the one studied in the thesis that supports this article, it is possible to observe the obstacles to the implementation of the Friendly Clinic, as a consequence of a distribution of priorities in the care of health / disease processes based on the stereotypes of cis / heteronormative gender by the management and a large part of the hospital staff, deepening the exclusion of transvestites and trans women. The incorporation of intersectional strategies demands to keep in mind the systematic exclusion that these groups experience, weighing on the main institutions such as the family, the school, the world of work and health.

In the context of the emergence of feminist and LGBTTIQ+ movements that have an impact on the public and State agenda, it is interesting to share the progress of research that recovers the universe of meanings - beliefs, feelings, knowledge - of primary health care (PHC) agents in the Municipality of Córdoba with regard to sexual and (non)reproductive rights; what changes, resistances and challenges arise in relation to the population they assist in this context of mobilization, expansion and dispute of rights; considering that the inclusion of these rights in the field of health was and still is the object of disputes of meanings and negotiation, in a dynamic and conflictive political process.

Tumor markers (TM) are molecules that may be elevated in the presence of a cancer, either as a reaction of the host to the tumor or as a product of the tumor itself. TMs are not specific to neoplasms, and appreciable concen-trations can be found in a large number of physiological or pathological tumor situations. They are useful for the early detection of cancer, to establish staging, response to therapy, predict recurrences, present high sensitivity, speci-ficity and positive predictive value and be organ-specific and tumor-specific. Among those that represent more relevance and value in gynecology are: CEA, AFP, beta-HCG, CA125, CA 15.3, CA 19.9, SCC, Cytokeratins, and LDH. * Biological markers are measurable changes, whether biochemical, physiological or morphological that are associated with exposure to any toxic. In the oncolo-gical-gynecological pathologies, BRCA1, BCRA2 and Her2 are frequently referred to; They can also be mentioned: hormonal receptors (ER and PR). The true clinical value in gynecology lies in the follow-up of patients, both to detect early recurrence and to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. In general, tumor markers and biological markers may be the key to reducing cancer mortality worldwide. Therefore, we propose this biblio-graphic review to enhance the TM most used in clinical practice in the area of gynecology.

Introduction: Chronic renal failure is defined as the progressive loss, usually irreversible, of the glomerular filtration rate that results in a set of symptoms and signs called uremic syndrome, and that in their terminal state, is incompatible with lifetime. Objective: To determine the prevalence of complications in patients undergoing catheterization who entered a hemodialysis unit in a hospital in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic during the period March-October 2019. Methodology: Retro-prospective, descriptive, cross-sectional study and observation in which the surveys of 59 patients were analyzed using a form in a hospital in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Results: 61% of the patients had some complication, where infections predominated in 56% of the cases, observed mainly in patients who had 5 to 6 catheters placed in them. Conclusions: Patients in the catheter unit have a large number of complications which are proportional to the number of catheters placed in them. Recommendations: Attendance at nephrology consultations prior to the onset of hemodialysis should be promoted so that patients can enter dialysis with a functional arteriovenous fistula to obtain better results.

Introduction: As is known, arrhythmias are an important cause of palpitations, being this a common problem in individuals that are within the pediatric age range. The objective of this research is to inform the general public about the importance of the correct investigation of the origin of palpitations, since this can cause a great concern among parents and/or guardians of schoolchildren, through a correct history, physical examination and a 12 leads EKG. Pediatric patients often seek medical attention for symptoms associated with arrhythmias. Cardiac arrhythmias are considered as alterations in the sequence of contractions and relaxation of the heart. However, not all rhythm disturbances are symptomatic, but they do require careful evaluation for proper diagnosis. Patients may have symptoms such as palpitations, syncope, sweat or headache, while others may have no symptoms and be detected before a routine physical exam, or an evaluation for some other cause. 1,2,3,4 The initial evaluation of a patient presenting arrhythmia, consists in carrying out a complete medical history, addressing the symptoms, the time of the arrhythmia, and the possible underlying diseases; a physical examination and a 12-lead electrocardiogram, if possible during or without the arrhythmia.3 On the other hand, the etiology of palpitations can be cardiac, or non-cardiac, for that reason, it is essential to define whether there is a metabolic and electrolyte disorder, or thyroid and psychosomatic history, since these can trigger heart rhythm disturbances.5 Material and Methods: for the development of the following research, a systematic review of scientific articles has been carried out by consulting the Pub Med / MED LINE, Up to date, Scielo and El Sevier bibliographic databases, with date restrictions from 2015 to the present, in the Spanish and English languages. With the data obtained from the scientific articles, it was possible to analyze the concept and origin of the arrhythmias, and thus affirm the most frequent causes of these, and the importance of the careful evaluation of the patient together with its correct diagnosis Results: In the present investigation, we found that the most frequent causes of non-cardiac arrhythmias in pediatric patients were primarily metabolic disorders, including electrolyte disorders such as hyper/hypokalemia and hypercalcemia, hypoglycemia, hemodynamic inestability and hypothermia. Similarly, patients with thyroid, psychosomatic and drug exposure disorders, especially the sympathomimetic contained in high-level caffeine drinks, and cough / cold medications can trigger an abnormal heart rhythm. Conclusions: In conclusion, the purpose of this article is to inform the different readers that not always the presence of palpitations is caused by heart disease, but that there are palpitations of non-cardiac origin, coming from other systems, which does not represent any danger for the individual. However, all palpitations should be studied for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Introduction: In the Dominican Republic the use of a central venous catheter is essential for the management of thousands of patients in hospital centers. However, CVCs are associated with several complications, including some that are potentially fatal. Method: A retrospective, descriptive, observational study was conducted in the ICU at the General Hospital of the Plaza de la Salud in which the clinical records of 93 patients who were placed on a CVC in the period of June 2017-June 2018 were evaluated. Conclusion: In this study, it was observed that within a sample of 93 patients to whom a CVC was placed in ICU of the General Hospital of the Plaza de la Salud in the period June 2017- June 2018, 19% presented complications due to CVC, being the infection the most frequent complication.

Introduction: The world population is aging rapidly. A third of those over 65 years of age falls at least once a year, and this prevalence increases by half when they exceed 69 years. Objective: To determine the sensitivity of the use of inertial sensors to determine the gait and rotations of the trunk in a group of healthy individuals. Materials: We use 3 inertial sensors of 9-axis together with the same number of microcontrollers, that sent the infor-mation via bluetooth to the computer, the data processing was carried out through an analysis program developed in MATLAB. To analyze the sensitivity of the sensors we use the protocol of Akram et al,5 modified, which consists of 5 activities. Results: In our study 6 volunteers participated, with an average age of 29 years, with an age range 25 to 33 years. The sensors were able to detect multiple variables, including the maximum and minimum elevation of the legs, number of steps, the degree of inclination of the trunk, rotation, speed and cadence. Conclusion: The results obtained are promising and we believe that the use of multiple inertial sensors to assess gait and balance could result in a new tool for the diag-nosis and monitoring of people with gait and balance disorder.

Objective: Unexpected absence of polyspike/polyspike & wave sign (PPW) in the EEG of our 29 and 51-year old published cases of Lance Adams Syndrome (LAS), prompted us to investigate the age when this sign may nearly disappear. This in order of considering it not obligatory for late LAS diagnosis. Methods: Inclusion consisted of a sample of 7137 recordings performed at the Rehabilitation Center and the Universidad Central del Este’s (UCE) teaching clinic (Nervus and Cadwell respectively). Excluded were 198 for unidentifiable indications. PPW was searched in order to study patient’s age, suspected pathology plus gender. Results: PPW was found in 293cases: 4.22% of the total sample: in 275.it occurred before the age of 17 with curve showing an initial tip at nine while between 18 and 65 only 18 cases showed it. Incidentally 14 patients showed Burst suppression or electro-decrement patterns without PPW. The most common indication pathology was Epilepsy followed by learning disability. Finally it was more frequent in 176(63.9%) male vs. 113(36.1%) in female cases: ratio 1.56 to 1. however not significant for the gender ratio in the total EEG sample is 1.55 to 1. Conclusion: PPW nearly disappears after the age of seventeen, perhaps explaining rarity in advanced aged SLA. It is more frequent in Epilepsy EEG indications and in the male.
