The evolution of information and communication technologies, especially during the XXI century, have led to paradigm changes in all fields of knowledge, favoring more efficient management processes and the implementation of networking in many of the sectors that energize the national economy. In this context, one of the sectors that is characterized by its contribution to the socio-economic development of the country is Construction, with a 7% contribution to the gross domestic product, and the generation of 1.8 million jobs per year in its production chain (Dinero Magazine .2018), which entails great social responsibility, and the permanent search for cutting-edge technologies that make activity more sustainable in all areas, both economic and socio-environmental, betting on the global purposes of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and the objectives of the Colciencias Green Book Challenges 2030. One of the technologies in which construction has ventured in recent decades is the management model using BIM methodology that was already being developed worldwide since the early 1980s. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a process where they are generated and data of an architectural or civil work is managed using dynamic three-dimensional modeling software with properties of the components that allow obtaining reports in real time as the data of the model is updated, thereby optimizing the resources of a constructive project throughout its life cycle, from the integration of multidisciplinary teams that contribute to the development of the project, and to decision-making in real time, improving performance time indicators, operating costs and inconsistencies between specialties. In Colombia, around two million square meters of construction are approved monthly (DANE 2019), of which 80% correspond to licenses for housing buildings, by medium and small construction companies, which is why it becomes the leading segment that guides and provides significant results for the sector. In this context, the objective of the research is to identify the degree of implementation of the BIM methodology in the construction processes of work with real data, and the possible problems and aspects to improve in the implementation of BIM technology, related to personnel of work from each of their roles, based on a case study. The exploratory and field research methodology provides quantitative and qualitative data obtained from interviews with focus groups of the construction company. These data are integrated by applying the IDM Information Delivery Manual, to then generate a process map with which problems are identified in the BIM implementation processes, evidencing the change of paradigms regarding the training of the builder and the new specialists that they are involved in the design, construction and operation of construction projects.

This article presents the evaluation of professional satisfaction of rural health personnel, regarding the training through the teleclinics of Project ECHO. A descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental and field study was performed. Through the ZOOM platform, medical cases of endocrinology and hypertension were presented in teleclinic sessions, with the advice of specialists and aimed at rural health professionals. Using free digital support, a survey questionnaire was applied to 57 participants, structured in six dimensions. The measurement was made based on the Likert Scale; the statistical analysis consisted of obtaining the mean and standard deviation, as well as general satisfaction percentages. Most participants (81.5%) were satisfied with the application of the teleclinics. Scores that reflect a high level of satisfaction were observed in all dimensions. From the perception of the rural professionals, the teleclinics provided a permanent learning support at low cost, contributing to professional development and problem solving in the medical practice.

This investigation is based on information provided by the Ministry of National Defense, which describes that the illicit exploitation of mining deposits is present in twenty-five departments of the national territory, which are the ones that suffer the greatest environmental and social damage. According to the above, it is necessary to prepare a monitoring and control plan for the machinery used in mining in Colombia and contribute parameters for the proper use of it. The normative analysis that provides the tools to fulfill this purpose is imperative. Although the direction of the investigation leads to working together with the National Police, this does not neglect collaboration with other public institutions, such as the Regional Autonomous Corporations and  Directorate of National Taxes and Customs.

Pedagogical leadership is a key tool in order to optimize teaching performance. Closely connected with the project of School Improvement, it provides the strategies required in order to deal with the “education crisis” which challenges us to find urgent answers to new problems. From our perspective, school directors aren't just “managers” but also –and first of all– leaders who shouldn't ever lose sight of the main objective: a better quality learning. In effect, based on the consideration of some relevant points of view, we come to the conclusion that directors are esentially educators, not “managers” or “administrators”. A “good” director shares leadership with a view to influence his collaborators properly and lead them to achieve the institutional goal. It's not about “being the boss” or “giving orders” but about knowing how to communicate effectively and how to motivate teachers on the basis of a set of personal qualities, skills and competences which enable him/her to lead the teaching-learning process to educational success.

The Malthus growth model is the most widely used law to model dynamic processes. In this work, we use the Malthusian theory to estimate the growth rate of new daily cases of COVID-19 infection and two periods of time in which this type of growth occurred, the first of 41 days and the second of 101 days. In the first one, the growth rate was 10 times greater than in the second one. From the results, it is concluded that the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom were the countries that had the greatest impact on exponential growth during the first period, while the Americas, Russia and India were the ones that contributed the most in the second one.
