In the knowledge society, Higher Education Institutions went from being educational centers, to being centers of production and knowledge management, which has led them to generate and apply administrative models for support for scientific production as the final result of their academic research activities. Objective: To analyze the variables that affect research production and knowledge generation in a regional Higher Education Institution. Materials and methods: Review of literature on the topics of Knowledge Management, Organizational Learning, Intellectual Capital and descriptive quantitative analysis of a survey of the institution's research population. Results: It is validated that variables such as working conditions, the expertity of the researcher and his ability to generate collaborative learning spaces are fundamental to the development of research and research training of an institution. Discussion: The study not only gives a complete view of the topic, it proposes a series of categories or variables that affect scientific production in a higher education institution, which will in the future focus the development plans of the corporation and the strategy for research development and knowledge generation of the programs.

This article is part of the project "The postgraduate of the UAZ and its contribution to the development of the state of Zacatecas: a view from the managers". Its objective is to investigate the contingency and transcendence of the postgraduate course in PNPC and not PNPC. The methodology is quantitative with nonparametric descriptive analysis of contingencies. The results in academic programs in PNPC show transcendence and socio-economic and political impact in the State. The proof of independence shows, dependence on socio-economic development, with respect to the importance of the postgraduate; politically they are independent. Those not included in the PNPC reveal that they are independent of socio-economic development, with little impact and political significance. In conclusion, the postgraduate at PNPC are relevant and impact from the socio-economic point of view, due to quality and relevance criteria attached to CONACyT policy. The non PNPC graduate programs have no social, economic and political impact on the development of the State of Zacatecas.

Today's society requires more and more adult citizens with an adequate level of statistical reasoning, able to interpret and read statistical tables and diagrams that appear in different media, for making better decisions in their daily professional and personal life. The curricular contents of school education have been adjusted to meet these requirements. However, it is evident that there is a problem in statistical education, which is being limited to the application of certain procedures and calculations, and this does not favor the solid statistical reasoning that is required. Then, with the purpose of supporting Statistical Education, a Pilot Course on Statistical Education was proposed, as part of the Linking Project with the Society, Gauss Project, for teachers of the Unified General Baccalaureate, in this problem situations of Level A and B were addressed, with the methodology recommended by the GAISE report, which provides a reference framework to address the statistical contents at three levels of maturation A, B and C, which allow internalizing the statistical concepts, variability and randomness present in problem solving statistical, applying the four steps involved in an investigative process.

Evaluate academic procrastination in medical students. Method. Non-experimental, observational, quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study. The academic procrastination scale proposed by Domínguez, Villegas and Centeno (2014) was applied to 707 fifth-year medical students from a public university, selected for convenience. The procrastination dimension refers to the postponement of academic activities necessary for learning and self-regulation is related to the active process that the student carries out to meet the academic objectives set. Outcome. Of the 707 students, 295 were men and 401 women, 11 participants did not respond to this item. 58.3% of men and 61.9% of women tend to procrastinate, however, they do not openly accept it, but 9.1% of men and 3.7% of women do procrastinate and refer it, that is, they postpone activities Academics such as: doing homework, jobs they don't like and reading. Conclusion. Procrastination in medical students is more frequent in men than in women.

Unir la teoría y la práctica es un tema que para muchos es desalentador, desafiante e incluso aburrido. Este artículo pretende romper paradigmas por medio de la reflexión del quehacer pedagógico en las aulas de clases, y así encontrar la manera ideal y efectiva para que la práctica y la teoría sean articuladas a la formación del profesorado en la vida académica y laboral. A lo largo del artículo se desarrollan algunas estrategias como la formación exigente de los estudiantes de licenciatura en diferentes áreas, una libertad para ejercer el quehacer pedagógico, la evaluación constante de ese quehacer pedagógico para todos los docentes, la elección de asignaturas o contenidos por parte de los estudiantes de acuerdo a sus capacidades, intereses y contextos; y una evaluación teórico-práctica donde se refleje el auto control, los hábitos de trabajo, la responsabilidad, la organización y la iniciativa propia.

It has been 50 years since the concept of learned helplessness was recognized as an important phenomenon associated to learning in experimental environments (Seligman & Maier, 1967). A great deal of studies on both animals and humans have been carried out to contribute with a reformulation of the theory and to offer empirical evidence of its correlations in depression and anxiety among many other forms of psychopathology and social issues. is paper offers a revision of studies where learned helplessness and hopelessness have been looked at from different perspectives and their implications to different approaches in psychopathology and other issues of social concern

The work of Andres Bello, as a representative educator of generations, has been characterized by having a special validity and permanency to the development and understanding of educational thought in general and, especially, in all that represents the process of forming a citizen endowed with a number of capabilities that enable him to act patriotically under the responsibility and autonomy, as exigencies to meet the social demands of his time. All this carried to the current plane, intends to demonstrate that the work of Bello comes to position that the functions of any education system and new trends in academic literacy also intend to form citizens with a critical and reflective thinking as fundamental conditions to act coherently within democratic scenarios, aspects that clearly reflects the correspondence of the contributions of Bello with the exigencies of the academic reading as a new way to face the educational and social world with the launching of creative skills, with a critical spirit, new knowledge and ideas, as well as the possibilities to judge their actions and from third parties.

The methodology followed in an investigation carried out in the Faculty of Nursing of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, Mexico, is presented with the intention of showing the key aspects to consider, as well as exemplifying the phases that follow the design of an educational research inserted in a constructivist paradigm. We will find a description of the way in which five relevant aspects are articulated to be taken into account in the development of this type of research: the paradigm in which the researcher is positioned, the selected research method, the meanings reconstruction procedure; the analysis process and the ethical considerations. The conclusions detail the contributions of the methodological strategy assumed and invite the academic dialogue and debate on the contributions of qualitative research in the field of education.

El trabajo que se presenta acá corresponde a las etapas de diseño, planeación y priorización de un proyecto de investigación orientado a la intervención de una problemática de convivencia y clima escolar en una Institución Educativa pública de un municipio de Colombia. Así, el objetivo de este artículo es dar cuenta de un proceso de construcción colectiva del concepto de ciudadanía como objeto pedagógico, así como de una posible estrategia para su enseñanza.  Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la reflexión sobre el concepto de ciudadanía implica su operacionalización en una gama de nociones que se solapan y se complementan, dentro de las cuales se encuentran las de familia, escuela y comunidad, derechos humanos, medio ambiente y sexualidad y género. En relación con las técnicas para la implementación de una posible estrategia de enseñanza-aprendizaje, los docentes identificaron al grafiti, la cartografía social, el teatro y la música como elementos lúdico-pedagógicos facilitadores del proceso. Estos resultados sugieren la importancia de la recuperación de este tipo de espacios como elementos constitutivos de las realidades educativas, así como la necesidad de un análisis de los imaginarios sociales presentes al interior de esas realidades. La metodología fue cualitativa con un enfoque participativo que combinó técnicas como las entrevistas a profundidad, los grupos focales y los talleres lúdicos. La población constó de 43 profesores y profesoras, que se distribuyeron, para los talleres, en 5 mesas de trabajo en las que diligenció una matriz para la priorización de temáticas, la selección de metodologías y recursos.

This document corresponds to a research article where the structural elements and the results of a research work developed in the framework of the research hotbed “Inclusion, pedagogy and public policies” of the Bachelor's Degree in Children's Pedagogy program of the Corporation are exposed. University Minuto de Dios (Soacha Regional Center). This research work had the general objective of designing a pedagogical proposal for attention to diversity in the setting of the kindergarten "My great future" located in the municipality of Soacha (Cundinamarca), from the perspective of inclusive education. The entire research process was developed from a sociocritical paradigm, based on a qualitative approach, and through the qualitative descriptive method. It will be seen in the frame of reference that there is a solid theoretical and conceptual foundation, in addition to a sound legal-regulatory framework that supports the pedagogical proposal. Precisely, one of the main conclusions of the research work is that inclusive education must be attended from the perspective of attention to diversity of all kinds in the classroom, and not only from the focus of attention to physical disability or cognitive, which is precisely the dominant approach in inclusive education work. Thus, the pedagogical proposal starts from the recognition of the   diverse existing in the physical, cognitive, social, cultural, political and economic condition of children in preschool education, but also recognizes the diversity of their needs, seeking a successful pedagogical proposal.
