Resumen
In this work, a preliminary analysis of a set of ceramic spindle whorls (counter weights for spinning tasks), from various museological reservoirs of the province of Córdoba, is carried out. Techno-functional characteristics from measurable variables and it is investigated in the production possibilities that these artifacts admit, are considered. Most of them were produced coming from sherds from different ceramic containers, possibly discarded by breakages. This form of production, through recycling, involved widespread practice at the regional level, however, in specific finding and bounded spatiality limited we can see another type of spindle whorls, generally decorated with incised decoration, whose development is characterized by the modeling and baking technique of ceramics. Among the elements of this type that make up the sample, there is a significant predominance of those artifacts coming from the south of the Calamuchita Valley, which present a greater technological and functional specificity that delimits their performance. From the comparative study between this subset and the rest of the recovered spindle whorls, it is suggested in hypothesis that the spinners of this area show a productive preference in the elaboration of threads of certain characteristics.

Resumen
This paper presents a synthesis of the information generated over the years in the area of the Laguna Blanca Grande, starting with the work carried out by Bórmida, in which he described and defined the Blancagrandense as a lithic industry that arose around 3500 b.C. and lasted until historical times, without mentioning the Fort Blanca Grande. The fort was highlighted by the local historians Arena, Valverde and Cortez, and later by the works by Goñi and Madrid, and the local historian Paladino. Studies on the fort have been continued by the documentary and archaeological analyses carried out in the northwestern sector, the back part of the fort and the lagoon. Since the mid-twentieth century, research has been generated from different interdisciplinary fields that never touched on each other, hiding or denying the continuity in the archaeological record, which reflects the pre- and post-conquest occupations of the Pampaean region. In this work it is argued that separating archeology in pre- and post-conquest periods restricts the knowledge of our past, establishing an artificial division in Pampaean archeology.

Resumen
In recent years, the application of archeometric studies has increased notably. On the one hand, because it has managed to expand an interdisciplinary field that has allowed the training of professionals. On the other hand, because work spaces have been developed with access to the use of different analytical techniques, as well as dialogue and exchange in the analysis of the results between specialists. Regarding the study of archaeological ceramic materials, advances in the development of techniques and technology related to archaeological work has facilitated the review of results and data that were obtained in a timely manner during the investigations, in order to continue exploring archaeological problems and solve pending issues related to processes of production and circulation of ceramic materials, social practices of exchange, interaction and integration and their associated rituals, among others. This work aims to present the application of new technologies and methodologies adapted to ceramic materials to evaluate their potential related to the scope of the information obtained and to review and incorporate new data related to the study of the origin of raw materials, characterization of pastes and techniques of manufacturing used by Andean potters. For this, two case studies of archaeological ceramics from the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy province (Argentina), are presented, based on analyzes carried out with petrography-QEMSCAN, Raman-IFT-IR, UV-IR microscope and pigment microstratrigraphy. The results obtained have offered additional and specific information to interpret the interactions inside and outside the space of the Quebrada de Humahuaca in different chronological moments of the pre-Hispanic past, giving an account of the use of the circumpuneño space by the communities that inhabited it

Resumen
This work shows the results obtained from the vegetable microremains analyzes (phytoliths, and starches.) carried out on ceramic and lithic artifacts, from the archaeological sites Los Varela Recinto 11 and El Polear 1, located in the Ambato Valley, Catamarca, Argentina. Although this type of study has been carried out systematically in different regions of the Argentine Northwest, the truth is that most have focused mainly on grinding instruments, with fewer analyzes on ceramic material. In total, 27 samples (21 ceramic fragments and 6 lithic artifacts) were examined, with the main objective of establishing a possible relationship between ceramic classes, vessel shapes and their use. The results obtained allowed the identification of remains of maize (Zea mays) and carob (Prosopis sp.) in ceramic material and maize in lithic. Although this work is preliminary, the information obtained, integrated with results derived from previous investigations, allow us to propose, at least for the moment, that maize played a central role in Aguada of Ambato during the first millennium of our era.

Resumen
A synthesis of the advances in pottery research of the Meliquina Archaeological Site (LAM) is presented, in a wooded and lacustrine environment in the southern sector of the province of Neuquén, Argentina. The analysis strategy was not based on typological studies that used the potential capacities and limitations for formal aspects, but on the description of results of different archeometric analyzes from a multiroxi approach, organized in provenance, structural and functional studies. Among the provenance studies, we identified immediately available clays and another non-local chemical group by TXRF. Regarding structural studies, we observed manufacturing by superimposition and spiral elevation of rolls using radiographic images. Regarding functional studies, by Gas Chromatography we identified fatty acids from leaves, berries and seeds among the adhered residues, together with negative imprints analyzed by means of Electronic Scanning Microscopy identified with Bromus sp. and other domesticated non-local species such as corn from phytoliths and starches. The activation, cultivation and molecular identification of cryotolerant fermentative yeasts, together with phytoliths and thermo-altered starches from corn kernels suggest that, like other seeds and fruits, they may be part of the processing or containment of fermented beverages.

Resumen
Cultural heritage biodeterioration is an actual research line that it has been poorly studied from an archaeological perspective. However, current archaeometric investigations in pottery materials point to a diversity of biological agents involved in a complex mechanical, chemical and fouling deterioration process of the external and inner surfaces and the paste, presenting a sinergetic relationship in situ by weathering, erosion and postdepositacional agents in archaeological pottery materials from Northern La Rioja province, Argentina. Physical and chemical properties of these materials make them bioreceptive for microbiological colonization in environments with a strong aridity. Besides, these species impact for pottery materials preservation and for investigators health care was recognized. The aim of this work is to discuss and reflect about microbiological colonization implications in the archaeological pottery materials studied. Potential bias in archaeometric sample preparation and data collection is pondered and, these agents contribution as a complementary evidence lines in archaeological sites formation process, paleoenvironment and objects and/or raw materials circulation is enlighten.

Resumen
Familia Primón (FP) is an archaeological site located in a residential area in the south of Coronda city, on theright bank of the homonymous river (San Jerónimo department, Santa Fe province). During the archaeological fields works carried out, three sectors were excavated; sector 1 corresponds to a multiple human burial area. This paper presents the results of the reconstruction of the burial map ―achieved from the digitalization of the spreadsheets and photographs recovery in analogical format and their management through geographic information systems (GIS)― and from anatomical, quantitative and taphonomic studies carried out on the human bone remains. Additionally, a synthesis of available information of other sites with human burials located in the area of the Coronda River is made. In general, the results show that at least 18individuals were buried at the FP site, both in primary and secondary burials, with different orientations and characteristics comparable to those relieved from other archaeological sites in the area and also in the Northeastern of Argentina.

Resumen
Radiocarbon dates obtained from organic residues deposited on the walls of five sherds recovered at three archaeological sites are presented here. The sites are located in the North Patagonian forest (Chubut and Río Negro Provinces). These dates are the first obtained in a forest environment and cover the period between 960 ± 22 and 328 ± 31 years BP. Besides, these results allowed us to discuss issues related to the integrity and resolution of archaeological deposits, clarifying previsouly raised questions about site formation processes
