Flowering cycles are poorly understood in the majority of woody bamboos, since their frequency and duration may vary according their growth-form and distribution across latitude and altitude ranges. Tropical Andean bamboos are known for combining gregarious (asynchronic) and asynchronic flowering events; the main objective of this study was to determine the flowering pattern of Chusquea mollis Swallen) L.G. Clark (= Neurolepis mollis Swallen), a monocarpic, native bamboo that grows in the subparamos and paramos of Venezuela and Colombia. The chronology of flowering events of this species was based on the revision of herbarium specimens, online databases and the occurrence of flowering events in two populations of the Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela. Taking in account that age diversity may also contribute to identify flowering patterns in bamboo populations, we performed a survey of a single population located in the Páramo La Aguada. Our results suggest that C. mollis combines gregarious and asynchronic flowering cycles, after a relatively short vegetative period (5-7 years). The census conducted in a single population of La Aguada revealed the co-existence of plantlets, juvenile plants, vegetative, reproductive and post-reproductive adults, of which the juvenile were the most numerous group.

The Stomatognathic System is one of the most complex systems of the human body, it influences concretely other systems respecting the principles of bio tensegrity, since this system and its position influences the center of gravity to the point that the Stomatognathic System relates it to lumbar spine pathologies. The research design was experimental, mixed approach. The sample formed 40 adult patients of both sexes, between 18 to 60 years old, with lumbar pathologies. The primary source from which the data was obtained is software Al Posture Evaluation and Correction System APECS, version 1.84, complete evaluation in all planes plus flexion. Correlative numbers to safeguard the patient’s personal characteristics coded the cards. Each patient received 18 cards with different characteristics. In total, 720 cards were analyzed. The difference in averages of biomechanical changes in the anterior plane was observed with the average improvement of 0.9 ° in the experimental group vs. at -0.2 ° in the control group in the posterior plane, an improvement in changes of 1.3 in the experimental group vs. 0.2 in the control group. In the right lateral and left lateral plane, the changes presented an increase in the angle after treatment, which means that the difference of the before and after averages yielded negative data for the right lateral plane of -0.81 ° for the experimental group and - 1.41 control group. Pain significantly improved in both groups.

The presence of parasites in the arenas of squares and parks can put the health of children and the people who go to them at risk. The objective of the study was the description of the types of parasites found in the sands of the public parks of Ciudad del Este. An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out in 15 parks in Ciudad del Este, during the months of October 2019 to February 2020. 71 samples were collected, under the existing conditions in the site, in a portion of soil measuring 10 cm long, 10 cm wide and 3 cm deep, approximately 200 g of sand was taken with a garden shovel, wearing gloves and placing it in a sterile and hermetically sealed plastic bag. For the search and identification of the parasites, the Willis flotation and Ritchie centrifugation technique was used. Of the 15 parks, 53.3% (n = 8) presented a sand sample contaminated with parasites. Of the (n = 71) samples obtained in the 15 parks, 15.5% (n = 11) presented helminth eggs, Toxocara sp 11.3% (n = 8) and the cestode Dipylidium caninum 1.4% (n = 1). Vacuolated forms of the protozoan Blastocystis hominis were also found, corresponding to 1.4% (n = 1) and Entamoeba coli cysts 1.4% (n = 1). Several parasites were found, mainly from the helminth family, which can pose a risk to users. People must be made aware of hand washing, especially children, and the presence of animals in parks should be limited.

The research focused on the analysis of the functioning of the instances of citizen participation (IPC) as support bodies for the Teacher Training Institutes (IFD) of the country; To do this, it was inquired about the entities formed, the institutional work mechanism that they implement and the contributions made to the management. For this purpose, the approach of a mixed investigation with a descriptive, cross-sectional scope and microsociological breadth was used, where the population was composed of directors, teachers and students of the three official management DFIs that correspond entirely to the same department. geographic area of Paraguay, which cannot be specified due to the confidentiality agreement signed with them. The sample was determined by the non-probabilistic method (for convenience) applying surveys and interviews as data collection techniques. The results indicated that the IPCs formed in meetings and work tables, are the Institutional Management Teams (EGI) and the Student Commissions, they meet according to the needs of the institution, have a high degree of recognition by the educational community and provide contributions to the institution, such as support and decision-making regarding the Institutional Educational Project, the Annual Operational Plan and the Improvement Plan. It is also determined the need to strengthen other instances where all the actors have the possibility to participate actively, applying assembly procedures for the elections of the members, giving systematicity to the meetings for decision-making, expanding their contribution within the provisions of the norm. for the EGI and widely disseminating decisions and activities to counteract the ignorance expressed by other actors.

As dissociative  factors of formal and operational curricula they name the multiple teacher´s  functions, lack of  proper training and management bureaucracy  Even though, the knowledge about some topics of the prescript curricula were not enough and confusion in technical curricular terms, it was recommended to carry out other researches  about this topic delving into a correlation between the variables of the grade of knowledge of the formal curricula and the influence in the praxis, by using surveys, observation and systematic review of literature.

The labor insertion of women led to a change in the family relationship since she assumed a productive role and also to that of caregiver, which, in many cases, generates a role conflict due to the need to reconcile the domestic and public environment. The main objective of this research was to interpret the perceptions about the balance of family and work-life of women with managerial positions in a Higher Education Institution in Alto Paraná, Paraguay. The design was qualitatively focused on a case study through interviews applied in 2018 to five female managers selected based on the concept of a structural sample. The analysis was carried out with ATLAS.ti using emerging categories in the testimonies of the interviewees. The most important findings refer to the quantity and variety of activities carried out by women in the domestic and work environment; As factors related to the family-work balance, the following were identified: age of the children, the couple, and the greater demand for domestic activities for women. Balance strategies were identified such as rigorous organization and planning, support from other people, and giving up activities outside the family. It was concluded that there is an overload of role in the women studied, linked to working conditions and the diversity of activities in the family environment, which highlights the inequality of roles between men and women when they have to assume these as contributors to the family income without giving up the traditional role.
